Reality vs Fantasy

Image

Porn! Sure, watching porn is easier than developing a real relationship…porn is a fun fantasy that helps you escape reality…but in the end, the rewards of fantasy are just that, fantasy…

Drugs! Sure, substances of all sorts or easy to use, they help you trade reality for a temporary high. But in reality, after the feeling is gone, you are left with nothing, you have forever lost the time you invested in chasing a temporary thrill.

Money and Stuff! Sure, things are easier to get than respect. Sure, accumulating a massive amount of glittering toys creates the fantasy of success. However, in reality, all the time and money you’ve invested in yourself will die with you. While the time and money you’ve invested in others, in love, will live on.

Real Life! Sure, escaping reality is easy to do…it’s accepted and celebrated…but only facing the hard reality of your life can put you in a position to change your reality. This isn’t about a temporary thrill. This will probably not even be fun! Reality and honesty in relationships, in life, in love, are pretty tough sometimes…but in the long run, the rewards of living a life based on reality are lasting and real, not a fantasy or a feeling that vanishes with the winds of time…

Inspirational Quote of the Day.

“People will give you many good reasons to hide your God-given talents…you may well give yourself many more…but there is never a good reason to hide your light just because the crowd is comfortable living in darkness…you were given a flame, a talent that no one else has…so, set aside the fear and excuses, burn bold and bright, light up the world around you with the fire you have been given, the Holy passion planted deep within your soul…not for your own glory, but for the glory of the talent giver…the universe maker…”
