CHAPTER FIVE

THE VEIL OF PROPHECY

The spirit of prophecy is a way to hide the truth from eyes that can’t handle the essence of god. This is because the closer one gets to that door the easier it is to be destroyed in the spirit by it.

Re:3:20: Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

1Co:10:10: Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

Even so we see this avoidance of the goal mentioned as “strong meat” of the word and there are many warnings offered in our way.

Heb:5:12: For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

Heb:5:14: But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

1Co:3:2: I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.

But it is our goal to pass through that threshold in order to sup with the Lord.

Why else do you think that the Lord Christ said;

Joh:1:18: No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

Or that we cannot find god anywhere we may look.

Lu:17:20: And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

Lu:17:21: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Lu:17:22: And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.

Lu:17:23: And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.

Lu:17:24: For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.

These verses are saying that god cannot be found by looking for Him and likewise with the Son of Man for these are now in heaven. Nevertheless inspiration (lightning) will reveal both these to the seeker of truth. If this were not so, I would be unable to reveal it to you now but the scriptures will do this for you in good time, reveal everything.

M't:10:26: Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.

1Co:2:10: But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

Eph:3:5: Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

2Th:1:7: And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

1Pe:4:13: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

It is through the Spirit of Prophecy that we speak and seek the hidden things out of scripture but it is through the Spirit of Truth that we discern the worth of what we learn.

Joh:14:17: Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Joh:15:26: But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

Joh:16:13: Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come

Our comforter therefore is the Spirit of Truth and we should not fear the threshold of god because of the unknown abyss which follows.

Ex:20:21: And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.

We do not see these things with our physical eyes but instead with our spiritual insights.

This is that lightning which Jesus said was coming; it is insight and inspiration that cannot be described in any other way but as lightning.

M't:24:27: For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Lu:17:24: For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.

2Tm:3:16: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

So if the Son of Man is revealed as lightning (Inspiration), this tells us solemnly, that heaven is in the mind. All these things take place within you, not external to you. These are concepts of the mind just as Baptism is a concept of the mind but one that must be worked into a full conception if it is to be true. As it is in heaven so it is on earth.

M't:6:10: Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Joh:3:1: There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

Joh:3:2: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

Joh:3:3: Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Joh:3:4: Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

Joh:3:5: Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Joh:3:6: That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Joh:3:7: Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

The Baptism is the way to be born again. Baptism is the womb of Christianity and one must enter that womb in order to be born again. But Baptism is also a death; a spiritual death in which we, our old beliefs, are slain by the revelation of the truth of god.

Ro:6:3: Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

Ro:6:4: Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Ro:6:5: For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

This tells us that the Baptism is to first be slain in the spirit (come unto death) be buried in that death (submerged in water – spirit of life) and to be raised up into newness of life (resurrected).

Ro:6:4: Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

This is a way of purifying ourselves. If we are not cut down into spiritual death we cannot be resurrected into new spiritual life. First to be cut down is to have ones misconceptions removed from our minds and this can only be done in one way and that is to be slain in the spirit.

Lu:11:24: When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.

Lu:11:25: And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished.

Lu:11:26: Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.

1Jo:3:2: Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

1Jo:3:3: And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

Jas:1:27: Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Ti:1:15: Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

1Tm:3:9: Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.

The goal here is to purify our soul for it is said that you will be tempted ten days.

Re:2:10: Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

It is the number ten that is significant in this verse as it implies purification by trial and purging just as it did for the prophet Daniel.

Da:1:12: Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse to eat, and water to drink.

Da:1:14: So he consented to them in this matter, and proved them ten days.

Da:1:15: And at the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the king's meat.

Speaking of a spiritual death and a resurrection; Jesus spoke of the resurrection thus.

M't:22:29: Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

M't:22:30: For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

M't:22:31: But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,

M't:22:32: I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living

Jesus taught that the resurrection was a living occasion. He taught that we must become the sons and daughters of god in order to achieve it.

Joh:1:12: But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

You must surname yourself to Christ and the Father in heaven and become Christian. This is done through an adoption of god as your Father.

Ro:8:15: For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Ro:8:23: And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

Ro:9:4: Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;

Ga:4:5: To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

It is through such adoption that the Baptism gives us permission to become the sons and daughters of god. This is achieved through the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost both slays us by the Spirit of Truth and raises us to a newness of life in the Spirit of God during the Baptism.

1Jo:5:7: For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

So through the Baptism and the adoption of the Father in heaven we lose the idea and notion of god that we once held and behold a new reverence of Jesus and the father is born. Our resurrection is by way of a new hope in the Father; not in desiring the heavenly treasure, fantasies and imagined salvation that we once adhered to.

If it seems that heaven has diminished to you or that god is absent from your vision this is proof that you are at the threshold of life. To be pronounced an orphan of god one must first become Fatherless. This is the slaying of the spirit mentioned above.

Jas:1:27: Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Ec:9:10: Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

Through the Spirit of prophecy we can find the mind of Christ for it is by His parables and imagery that we learn all of this.

1Co:2:16: For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Just as the marriage in Cana where six water-pots of water were turned to wine; was a teaching on how to surname oneself (what the bride does at her wedding) to that of Christ. We also must surname our-self to Christ if we are to be the bride of His coming.

In order to do this we must eat His flesh.

Joh:6:51: I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

Joh:6:52: The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?

Joh:6:53: Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.

Joh:6:54: Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

Joh:6:55: For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.

Joh:6:56: He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.

We have seen that this is His doctrine just as the bread or leaven was the doctrine of the Pharisees as cited below;

Lu:12:1: In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

M't:16:11: How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?

M't:16:12: Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

Learning this, it becomes clear that the miracle of feeding the four thousand may have another meaning also.

M't:15:32: Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three (truth) days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting (to be without god), lest they faint in the way.

M't:15:33: And his disciples say unto him, Whence should we have so much bread (doctrine) in the wilderness, as to fill so great a multitude?

M't:15:34: And Jesus saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven (word of god), and a few little fishes (parishioners).

M't:15:35: And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground.

M't:15:36: And he took the seven(word of god) loaves (doctrine) and the fishes (parishioners), and gave thanks, and brake them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.

M't:15:37: And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven (word of god) baskets full.

M't:15:38: And they that did eat were four (preaching) thousand men, beside women and children.

M't:15:39: And he sent away the multitude, and took ship, and came into the coasts of Magdala.

If we use the same imagery of ‘bread’ being ‘doctrine’ and ‘fishes’ as it were ‘men’ or ‘parishioners’ we can appreciate a different meaning here. To feed the four (sowing the seed of god) thousand with seven (word of god) doctrine and two (witnesses) fish (parishioners caught in the net of the fishermen); we see a more mundane explanation of the miracle.

It is easy to reason that fish represent people that are caught in the nets of the fishermen (apostles). Jesus said;

M't:4:19: And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

M'r:1:17: And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.

Hence they from then on, caught men instead of fish. In Habakkuk we also see the allusion to fish as people.

Hab:1:14: And makest men as the fishes of the sea, as the creeping things, that have no ruler over them?

We see it also when Peter was evangelising (fishing for people); how Jesus said to cast on the right side of the ship.

Joh:21:4: But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.

Joh:21:5: Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.

Joh:21:6: And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.

Joh:21:7: Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.

Joh:21:8: And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes.

Joh:21:9: As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.

Joh:21:10: Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.

Joh:21:11: Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.

Joh:21:12: Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.

Joh:21:13: Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise.

This miracle is explained. The disciples were evangelising on the left side (truthful) but were not catching any fish (people) then Jesus said to cast on the right side (miracle side of the boat/church) and when they did so they caught a multitude later numbered to be one hundred and fifty three fishes (people caught in their nets).

To be on the right side of the boat (church), is to be on the side of the Sun, light and miracles which are all found on the right side.

M't:25:33: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

M't:26:64: Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

To be on the left side is where the Moon and truth is found.

M'r:10:36: And he said unto them, What would ye that I should do for you?

M'r:10:37: They said unto him, Grant unto us that we may sit, one on thy right hand, and the other on thy left hand, in thy glory.

M'r:10:38: But Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye ask: can ye drink of the cup that I drink of? and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?

M'r:10:39: And they said unto him, We can. And Jesus said unto them, Ye shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of; and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall ye be baptized:

M'r:10:40: But to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give; but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared.

Peter was evangelising on the left side of the ship (church), the truth side which is to say he was revealing too much truth and not enough miracles. After Jesus’s instruction to fish on the right side where the light and the miracles are found then they caught a multitude of fish. We know that this is so because Peter was naked. Nakedness implies being an orphan of god, the Fatherless, fasting from god or as one with god knowing the truth, when he was not catching any fish.

Joh:21:7: Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.

The parable goes on to reveal that the Lord broke bread (doctrine) and gave to the disciples as well as to the fish (people caught in the net) to eat.

Without this explanation the story makes little sense.

This is not the only miracle involving fish. There was the occasion when Jesus needed money to pay tax;

M't:17:27: Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.

It becomes obvious that this “fish” is a person who has money to pay the tax. The clue is in the statement “when thou hast opened his mouth” which means to have a conversation with them or to ask them for the money.

The next miracle comes when Jesus feeds the multitude;

M't:14:16: But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat.

M't:14:17: And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.

M't:14:18: He said, Bring them hither to me.

M't:14:19: And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.

In the above miracle when Jesus fed the multitude with just five (veil) loaves (doctrine) and two (witnesses) fishes (people caught by the nets of the fishermen) we again see the spirit of prophecy talk to us through a spiritual language to reveal the truth of the encounter. In this meeting Jesus gave communion by breaking bread (doctrine) and giving it to the fishes (those caught up in the nets of the apostles) and they, in turn fed the multitude with the doctrine.

What happened to the miracle in this example? It becomes mundane. This is termed ‘turning the spirit of life’ into the ‘spirit of worldliness’. Another way of putting it is to say it turned waters (spirit of life) to blood (spirit of worldliness).

Re:11:6: These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power
