The Greatest Gift
Had a birthday yesterday, it was my 41st. birthday. Am thankful for all of the birthday wishes I received, and the gifts that I had gotten. But you know I was thinking last night about the greatest gift that I had ever received, and it came from God. It has been over 16 years now since I had received that gift from God, and I can say that gift just keeps getting better and better as time goes by. And even in death it's going to keep on giving. Praise God. And this free gift was given to me by God's grace, and by faith in believing on His Son Jesus Christ. But even know it was free for me to receive, it came at a great cost, and that was the shed blood, and death of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who died for me.
So I do thank God for His grace, and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for taking upon Himself my sins, and suffering and dying in my place, so I was able to be saved. So it was God's Son Jesus Christ, that took my and your place. He was our representative. All the punishment we deserved because of our sins - He suffered. Someone had to pay the penalty for divine justice to be satisfied. Jesus paid it for us, so we could receive the free gift of salvation.
Now if you're not saved, you can receive that same gift, by believing by faith that God sent His Son into this world; to suffer and die for our sins, and on the third day God raised Him from the died. So because Jesus Christ has paid for our sin debt in full, and had victory over death, hell, and the grave. So we that believe and are saved, has that same victory in Jesus Christ our Lord. Praise God.
1 Corinthians 15:55-57 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law (ten commandments). But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 3:23-26 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
Lord God; help us that are Christians, not to be worldly motivated, but spiritually motivated---Daily being lead by thou Holy Spirit.
