It is with utmost care that I wrote this book for a brother. But as I came to understand, more people have been blinded and confounded as to the truth of this matter than any other lies. I am referring to evolution. I have been blinded for four years or even more all the while believing blindly as if truth.

Later, I was confronted to not only give it up but overcome it with joy and faith that stands sure of what I truly believe in. One time while studying during my undergraduate, I met a brother whose was struggling with the same struggle that I have before. He asked me about how I can study Biology and at the same time have faith in God. I saw myself at this brother’s struggle as he was educated during his high school with all of Darwin’s ideas and even now in his first year in college. His struggle was valid, and he felt very much agitated why things behave as they seem to be.

Upon understanding that this struggle is not unique and many may have been unable to ascertain their faith in Christ because of it, I felt led to write this book. The Lord surely is the greatest scientist I have known. His imprints and glory can be seen in all His creations. I love to share my insights on these and how things are working behind evolution. Few Filipino Christians have tried to write books and none have tried to do it with this topic (at least in the Philippines).

I just do not understand why most Pastors in the United States could write and not many Filipino Pastor’s would dare to pick the pens left behind by young revolutionary warriors such as Rizal, Del Pilar, Lopez-Jaena and the likes of Emilio Jacinto of the 19^thcentury generation. These are young and genuine breed of Filipinos whose opinions raged against the Spanish regime then occupying the Philippines. They battled against the tide of Spanish oppression as well as the enslavement of the Filipinos from ignorance to spiritual mockery. Now again is the time when most of the Filipinos have gained the political freedom these heroes have fought and envisioned to see the next generation to rise up and bring the national consciousness to a higher level. This is the next generation, the cry of spiritual freedom that can only free us from the corruption that has taken roots because of filthy lucre. There are simple ways to fight imported and corrupted education. Since most Filipinos agree that they need God, then to follow God is simply to take heed of what is in His Word and do it! We cannot import all ideas stemming from the world. In these days when the prophetic proclamation of Daniel is happening before our eyes, we need to select transformative principles and ideas. Not all the ideas coming from the others must be obeyed and followed but we should filter them out. Our standard is the Bible; I stand on this fearlessly as the backbone of all my presentations and principles. The truths here I have presented are my expansion of what is in the Bible as well as observations.

May you then be encouraged and step up in faith and go courageously to fight against this stronghold in many ways you can. You will know the truth and the truth will set you free!

An Education gone awry

God is not dumb. He created the mind to be able to grasp things and appreciate the beauty of its surroundings. When God created man, He formed him just like Himself. He gave man the capacity to decide, to seek God, to understand Him and to understand the things around him. Mind is the first access to the human soul and spirit. The Lord understanding this, commanded Joshua and all the leaders that would follow to read and to study the Bible (Joshua 1:8). He also commanded the whole of Israel through Moses the man of God to instruct their children with them (Deut 6:6-9).

So what is true education anyway? And is there education in Heaven? Is there Science in Heaven? I say unashamedly, yes there is! The Lord declared that when He will reign forever and ever, He will make all things new and remove the old (1 Peter 3:13). That would then be the perfect world where all the foreshadowing things will be removed and the perfect model set (Heb 10:1). Since the Lord is the foremost scientist and teacher, He will not be a boring one. He will be all that we have ever imagined Him to be, a dynamic, bold and graceful scientist and teacher that He is! There will be demonstrations, experimentations will continue as we will try to grow more and more like Him.

The Children will grow in all learning and understand Science the way God designed it to be. Science was not created to merely represent and model the physical phenomena occurring in the world, but because the Creator of Science was both a physical and spiritual being, we then know that there are hidden phenomena where both the physical and the spiritual comes together and the explanation for the physical phenomena gives only a snapshot of the actual reality. The writer of the book of Hebrews referred to this when he wrote, “by faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of the things which are visible” (Heb. 11.3). At present, there are elements that are so limited in explanation that we will understand them later in more detail than now. That would be when He will expound on these things. Currently, the world system dictates Science to be explained only in the physical dimension but not the spiritual one. They set aside the spiritual dimension and make this the basis of rejecting the claims of Creation Science. This is left they claim for religion. These limitations will be removed later and not perfectly until He comes to judge both the living and the dead.

God will then have to re-educate most of us through His renewal program of the earth. “For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth and the former things will not be remembred or come to mind” (Isa. 65:17).

We will all be growing up into His knowledge and wisdom. Do you think there will be no more work for you? With Jesus, working will not be exhausting but all that we would be doing will be a joy to behold and to do. Whether we will be studying the behavior of whales and fishes as well as rocky shores and barnacles, it will not be a chore! Jesus would be there. His presence will be such uplifting that we will actually love what we are doing. Do you think the Creator made the physical world by merely mincing on it and without thinking on them? Wrong! All that He made from the biggest dinosaurs to the least microorganisms, He declared good to behold (Gen. 1:25)! Most Christian scientists such as microbiologists as well as other Science enthusiasts forget to appreciate and see this aspect of God. They are unable to directly link what they observe with what God has actually done. By doing so, they have missed a lot of what the Lord may want to communicate with them.

In that thousand year reign of Jesus Christ, we will be seeing Him overseeing large schools for the children and the young…He will set the standards of the curriculum and He will set what is to be studied and taught. He will be a Chancellor as well as Adviser to universities. Now what I am telling you seems a utopia but let your eyes be open and think of the coming thousand year earthly reign of Jesus Christ. He will rule the earth and implement sweeping revolutionary changes that would stop the illiteracy and false education of humans.

God’s design for education is enlightenment. I read about the French enlightenment but it was more rather of darkness than any shining light that they claim it to be. Voltaire, who was one of the foremost philosophers of that time thought God was the problem. He said he would destroy the whole Bible, but Voltaire died as well as his philosophies with him. The Bible is still read nowadays affirming that the works of man will never prevail against the works of God.

The human heart and mind craves for knowledge and spirituality. The more important of the two is spiritual knowledge and the Lord ensured this by telling the Israelites, “to repeat to their children’s ears” what He commanded and told them “to do” (Deut. 6.6-9). Through repetitions either by telling stories or reading them to the youngsters, the truth of God would be more founded in their children’s minds and hearts. I have seen this to be true and those who are well verse of the fundamentals can easily tackle the greater more complex ones (Bible lessons and problems of life). Most people who have something to hope for live longer than those who do not have. Experiments with mice placed in utter darkness and those in traps with holes to see the light confirm this. The mice living in traps with holes to see the light survived longer compared to those kept in utter darkness. The NAZI prisoners who survived the concentration camps told us the same things. One of them was Victor Frankl who wrote, “everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms - to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way..” and that there can be no greater role for hope than in desperate life and death situations. His life was riddled with hopelessness in the German concentration camps but he chose to believe that there is hope and though he never explicitly said about God, hope comes from nowhere but God. Would you expect the devil to give you hope? No way!

The Lord prepared the Israelites for governance by giving His laws and instructions. The Israelites then could not say or doubt what the Lord is instructing them to do since their experience was also supernatural and they have seen it as well as it was written. They are always being followed by the Lord’s covering of fire or clouds. Such confirmations of what was being taught to them could easily make them grounded in faith in God…but even these physical manifestations did not guarantee that people would truly believe in God!

To us today, education seems to be boring and outright nothing. You go with the rut of instructions from one level of boredom to another. Yet education was designed to give us enlightenment. Going back to Adam, he was made a perfect man living in a perfect place. We are not perfect and neither do we live in a perfect environment. But as for Adam, when the Lord breathed life in his nostrils, he was made alive:

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul (Gen. 2.7).

Adam’s brain capacity being a sinless man was staggering! He named every living thing
--from the behemoth dinosaurs, leopards, fishes and even insects—every living creature he was able to name them! All the world’s most popular and trained taxonomists combined together could not even do that in one day. How can just one man give name to all the living creatures in one day (see Gen. 2.19-20)! It can only be because of the large capacity of understanding and supernatural knowledge he was endowed with.

The first teacher

Adam’s teacher was no other than the Lord. No wonder this guy can name thousands to millions of animal in just one day. The Bible says,“And the Lord God commanded the man” (Gen. 2.16).

The word commanded might as well mean instructed or educated. So the first teacher on the planet was the Lord Himself and the very first student was no other than Adam. The Lord Jesus would say again later,“Let your light so shine that they glorify your father in Heaven” (Mat 16).That means we spread forth what we have learned and apply it to the glory of the Lord!

Now that we understand that the origin of education was part of God’s instructions to us, we therefore know that the founder was the Lord and the basis was no other than His word. Education for Adam is not merely a boring chalk and blackboard routine but a daily walk in the garden with the Lord. It was a one to one study. There would have been none more able to do this than the Lord Himself.

The word instruction means education and to instruct means to give a set of principles or a set of ideas of what should be done. In this way, when the Lord first gave instructions to Adam, the Lord was telling, “It is I who will instruct you”. And yes this is the truth. He says again in Isaiah, “And I will bring the blind by a way they knew not; I will lead them in paths they have not known; I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. I will do these things to them, and not forsake them” (Isa 42:16).All the saints of the Lord got their instructions from Him, starting with Adam, Abel, Moses, and David and many others. All of these people we can find in the Bible to have “inquired of the Lord”. In the life of David, this phrase was often repeated many times and his failure to do so always leads to devastating blows. Joshua and his army was said to have committed one grave mistake during their campaign to remove the inhabitants of Canaan…they made a covenant with the Gibeonites without asking the Lord about it. “And the men took their victuals, and asked not the command at the mouth of the Lord” (Josh 9.14)By doing so at their own accord, they were tricked.

This was the case of what happened to education. Satan tricked man in the garden to obey his voice rather than the voice of God. He first questioned God’s authority in the lives of Adam and Eve by asking… “did God say so?” Satan questioned God’s authority and Eve bought the lie. If these two people were the perfect creation of God and they fell, how much more we are who have come later from these two pillars of the human race? Accumulated sin and decay have totally and irreversibly taken its toll to our thinking; our thinking is reflected today in the general behavior of our society. It is a society that needs reformation, a society filled with conflict and rebellion to God’s authority.

Education is a most powerful tool to set the mind of the people. It can bring life, enlightenment and surely it can bless many people. When one man grasps the power of this, they can set aflame and change the way the world is. One such man was Jan Amos Comenius, a humble Moravian bishop who set the modern education stage to where it is today. His thesis was that, by shining the light of God to an ignorant world, all the evils of society will fled from the light! Without this man’s work on education, it is impossible to have imagined a freer world. As powerful as education can be, it can also bring much destruction, heresy and confusion when the basis becomes deception. Therefore this tool was used by satan to trick man by questioning God’s authority. He did by inserting the theory of evolution as a widely accepted deception into the scientific and education circle of today. Evolution in reality still argues and asks, “hath God really said this?”

By starting to question the basis of true education which is no other than a solid foundation in the Word of God, we have removed half of the power of the light beam. When the light beam works only half of its energy requirement, you won’t expect it to function correctly. This is the reason why we should not expect people with PhDs as well as those we say to be educated from elite schools to be the panacea for the society. They are a victim as well as we are of the deceptions of the devil. We can only expect true guidance from the One above. True education therefore means transformation from within in accordance to God’s instruction. Our goal in education is not to produce merely brainy people, but people with the right heart and the right mind. The right mind comes when the right heart has been set. By removing God in the Sciences, we have lost true connection of what is right and what is wrong thereby espousing evil in the society that only spins again and again. If you remove the fear of God, you cannot expect a stable and good society to sprout even in 1000 years. Sin is a stumbling block to any society or nation. Without God, there will be no light to shine. No true education to mold the minds of the young generation; therefore we should not expect a righteous society when we have removed the Lord in the portals of our educational curriculums.
Chapter 2

The power of education

No one may have thought among us that education alone can bring great power to transform the society we are living in. Most of us cling to it because we simply need it and it is a requirement. But realize this that if the Lord came to teach us on earth and preach the WORD to common village folks as well as to the cultured arrogant people before, then we know that education is a most powerful tool we cannot ignore and allow to deteriorate. It is a weapon that none of us have realized its power yet.

One of those groups of motley people Jesus taught before includes a group of ignorant fishermen. Yet, after leaving the earth, having just taught them for about three years, these common village folks were transformed to confident leaders and apostles! These apostles were said to have “through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions” (Heb. 11:33) and “turned the world upside down” (Acts 17.6). How did Jesus do such a feat in so short a time? It can be said that it is because of the Holy Spirit but more so because He taught them! We find the Lord teaching them always and bringing His disciples with Him where ever He goes.

We understand that education is used today in our country to position people to government and private posts. In this nation, we value education. This is a right thing to do. But we have not always produced the best fruit that we should have with our teachings. I suppose that all those apostles were no elementary or high school graduates yet Jesus was able to transform them for so short a time. The secret lies in righteousness.

We encounter the Lord teaching in John 14.6 “ Jesus said to him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but by Me”. The apostles were able to zero in on to that. Though they do not have the money, the buildings, or the apparels, or the priestly education of their times, they knew they have the best teacher the world will ever see. I could have gladly exchanged my all just to study under His instruction. He taught them the real way, the real truth, and the real life. I wonder why philosophers dig so much about the question of life when the answer is not a statement or observation but a Person. I suppose they have all looked in strange places rather than upwards to the Light above. The simple thing is if we will know the truth, we will know Him and we can search for the truth by starting in His word with an open heart. Voltaire refused to do so and he died an atheist and now a forgotten guy, but Jesus’ teachings have survived the past 2000 years and He still has the largest following. His words still ring in the pulpit and His word is still being read. The Bible declares that the heart of man is where the seeds of God are sown. It sprouts and grows depending on the level of acceptance of the person of the truth. To those who are very open, they will get more and learn more.

And He was saying to them, “ If any man has ears to hear, let him hear. And He said to them, Take heed what you hear. With that measure which you measure, it shall be measured to you. And to you who hear, more shall be given. For he who has, more shall be given to him; and he who has not, from him shall be taken even that which he has.” (Mk 4.23-25).
These verses suggest that teachings from spoken and written words have the power to directly influence man’s heart and mind. Spoken words by teachers have the power to shake things in the lives of the students whether the teacher is aware of this or not. If the teacher is evil, only evil will be sown and grown in the heart of the student. Since the Lord was the greatest teacher, He was able to calm the fears of His disciples so that later they stood grounded by faith and “subdued kingdoms”. By Kingdom, we just do not refer to castles and territories, but also the strongholds on ones’ life or family or city. It is noteworthy that Martin Luther, a German monk would be given a revelation of God’s Word. He was just an obscure monk living in an obscure place and in an obscure country. But without this humble man, there will be no democracy today; there will be no freedom of religion. By opening the Word and preaching the Word to the common masses in his own common language, many people bowed to the Lord and were freed from religious deception implemented by the Roman church during those days. Just a single word or sentence from the Lord, “that faith justifies man for his salvation”, changed the whole outlook of the world and determined the destiny of the many nations ever since.

Evolution

Evolution is an outright lie. It is not a new thing; it is a masked religion that hides itself up in the recesses of Science pretending to be fact. It is the same old concept of questioning the authority of God, “Hath God said?” Yet even this, the Lord was able to uproot in His disciples, so that they submitted wholly to His authority and even to man. We have therefore the same confidence that this old lie by an old deceiver can be broken in the lives of millions.

The spirit of religion masks and hides itself and this evolution is part of its plan to blind people from seeing the Son of God. From the beginning, satan’s lie was that God isn’t God that He claims to be and that he is. To do that, he crafted a plan to destroy Adam and Eve right in the garden! As devious as he was before, today, he did that with education as well as culture. God founded the garden of Knowledge and that is part of education. Yet as before, satan crept in slowly before firing his scud missile. He hid himself like the deceitful serpent that he was and masterfully injected evolution into the mainstream of Science.

This is why the Lord has always included in the Ten Commandments that He alone should be worshipped and no one must make idols to worship it. Even before in His foresight, He knew that satan would creep in just as in the parable Jesus had spoken where a farmer went to sow seeds in the field, and in the night tares were sown by the devil.

“ Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.” (Matt. 13.24-25KJV).
The field of science is a vast field where God has actually planted many seeds, and these seeds including the bad seeds have sprouted in the field of science. This is why we know science to be both a tool that can be used for good or for evil. The NAZIs during the World War II made use of Jewish prisoners as test animals for conducting human experiments in an unparalleled violence. They treated them as animals since they are not of the Arian race, and therefore are inferior even sub-human. Even the idea of having a pure breed through eugenics were also tested by the NAZIs by mating only pure Germans and the seed of the union would be taken cared of by the government to be used as pure bred seeds of the Arian race; that Hitler used so much as a reason to extinguish the Jews. Even the Americans used a defoliant called agent orange that destroyed thousands of hectares of Vietnamese mangroves during the Vietnam War. At the same time as we have seen how science can be destructive, we are also enjoying unequalled convenience in our lives through the discoveries of science from vaccines, pharmaceutical drugs, organic and artificial fertilizers to cell phones & to laptops and many more.

Evolution however is different whether you look at it directly or indirectly. It is an idol that seeks to confuse the people of God and bring them to bondage and unbelief. It behooves us to ask questions that are not easy to answer not unless you will truly seek. Some examples are, “is this really true? How sure are we that this is the real Word of God?” Let us backtrack a little bit. The good reason why the Lord allowed the tares to actually grow until the harvest time in the end is because he doesn’t want to disturb the growing good seeds which can become unstable by removing the tares up when uprooting them. Another is that by allowing the tares to grow, the true seeds will actually become stronger as they develop resistance and competition with the tares. In the natural this is not easy. It means that the Lord equally tries to guide everyone but only those who would pause and try to hear Him would actually yield to Him. The others can be taken and overgrown by the tares planted by the devil. In the end, we have no excuse as we will all be going where our lives have been set-up. Those who veered away from righteousness will fall to eternal damnation and those who followed God to the end of their lives to eternal bliss (Joh 3.16, Matt 13.41-43). Those who won’t seek will not find and no justification will be accepted in the end because all were given years of life to find what truth is and what is not. Pastor Ed Lapiz of the Day by Day Christian ministries tells us to “simplify things”. One way to do this is to find what the first real priority of life is. Then to follow this up by reading others who found the pathway to enlightenment. I have no better recommendation than to find it in the Bible and look to Jesus for help.

Thus the Lord declared to us before, “I am the Lord; that is my name! I will not give my glory to anyone else. I will not share my praise to mere idols” (Isaiah 42.8 NLT).

But take heart for the Lord shall do a most wonderful thing, just as He shattered the idols of before old, evolution, like satan has fallen already. We may not see it clearly, but God has declared He alone remains Supreme! Not even this stronghold of evolution will be able to stand when the sword of God is unsheathed.
As educators then, we have a most wonderful opportunity to teach creation, to pattern education in God’s word. That can be done. We can create courses that are patterned after God’s Word because He is able to give wisdom when we seek Him.

In Heaven this is what they do. As God declared in His word, “nothing evil or lie will be allowed in heaven” (Rev. 21.27), then surely the account of creation is part of what is being taught in heaven. The perspective of courses would all be based on the Word of God. That does not mean we will all have to create a theology course. That would not work it either but rather we incorporate the perspective of God in what we are doing from Science to even other courses. This may not come fully but it would be great to have it.

God is worshipped and He instructs even little children in Heaven! Seeing that this is what is happening there, and knowing that God has commanded us to teach our children about God and His ways, we must be faithful to do this. I have heard many Christians who consider singing songs and waving hands as worship to God, but studying, they seldom have even considered it to be an act of worship! But the truth is, when you study God and His ways by studying His creation and having your understanding opened, you are also beholding God and worshipping His majesty! In my vocabulary, worship means to exalt God. And I can exalt God not only by singing but even by what I do and how I behave.

To glorify God, education is one of the best field we can do that, and we can do it the best we can. Satan has twisted the meaning of education by teaching that this is a neutral ground and no area to preach Jesus Christ. The German philosopher Alfred Sohn Rethel wrote that the thinking of the people will be reflected in the kind of society they will have. The outcome can be seen today in any society---materialism abounds, divorces and immorality is at an all time high, misunderstanding from within people groups and even without are overwhelmingly high. Instruction is part of our heritage from the table of the Lord; we must take back this area and shine the light of God once again. To be in the neutral ground is to be in the most vulnerable position.

Chapter 3

 

Evolution is a pollution of the mind, a source of confusion!

 

“For nothing is secret that shall not be revealed; nor secret which shall not be known and come to be revealed” (Luk 8:17)

When one passes by a garbage or land fill site, the stench of the area cannot be covered. Even when one also passes by a polluted river or port, one can smell the stench arising from the black water. There are many lakes and rivers today which are polluted and dying. Restoration ecology and environmental conservation were all birthed to counter these trends in nature due to man’s impact on the environment. Today the mind of man is not pretty much different from these polluted areas. Sin has darkened the mind of man in such a way that many could not distinguish what is right from what is wrong. It has become pretty much a society filled with relativism. Sin in the end will not care whether you know or not, but sin filled societies existed even before our days. The prophet Jonah was sent to preach the gospel of repentance even in the days of Nineveh’s imperial power in the Middle east before. He preached with reluctance but only after the encounter with the big fish that swallowed him up. What amazes me is that when he preached, all of Nineveh bowed before God! In contrast Noah preached for 100 years that his neighbors should repent but not one was even converted. Probably no other prophet was as successful as Jonah in converting a whole nation towards God in one day of preaching and in a record of one sentence, “Yet forty days and Nineveh shall be overthrown!” (Jon 3.4). Yet even after his success, he still wanted a full revenge against the Ninevites who during those days are known fro violence from impaling in poles bodies of their conquered enemies to butchering pregnant women. The Ninevites simply do not deserve any mercy in Jonah’s mind. Yet God gave mercy even to the most violent nation of that period.

Sin has reached the ears of God for this generation and He will no more turn a deaf ear. Sin darkens the mind, gives a faulty heart conviction and blurs the vision towards issues of eternity in one’s life. Man’s heart was designed to be indwelt by the Word of God richly (Col. 3.16). But we have turned a blind eye to this truth. By doing so, we have worsened our own condition. Adam’s blessed stage cannot be compared to, his natural mind can comprehend all things so clearly and so vast that he was able to name thousands and thou
