Chapter 2: Deal with fear and anxiety
Philippians 4: 6-7
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
In times of trouble, where you feel afraid the Bible says, pray, and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding shall overshadow you. The bible says, "Do not call conspiracy everything this people call a conspiracy; do not fear what they fear, and do not dread it (Isaiah 8:12). The Lord Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy; he is the one you are to fear; he is the one you are to dread (Isaiah 12:12). Peace, be still. Trust God, the maker of heaven and earth.
Peace, be still, Jesus spoke those words after the disciples that lacked faith woke him up amid a raging sea. They were in an uncontrollable boat, but Jesus was sleeping. Why was Jesus asleep in the storm, because only when He was at rest and peace, could find a solution and know what to do. If He was fearful, He was not going to release the answer that they needed at that time. Jesus passed that exam. May God help us to pass this current exam that the whole world is facing. We need Him!
Prayer: Lord, you said peace be still to the raging stormy seas, in the same way, we say peace be still, oh, nations. The Lord is on your side. Receive the peace of God and be still. We bind every spirit of fear and declare the spirit of love, power, and sound mind
(2 Timothy 1:7). Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, not the temple of fear. Shout: I believe! I have faith in Jesus. I will not be shaken!
