Salvation for Everyone
Let us see the meaning of salvation from the Hebrew dictionary and then from the Greek dictionary for clearer understanding.
Hebrew: H3444 yshuw`ahyesh-oo'-aw feminine passive participle of H3467; something saved, i.e. (abstractly) deliverance; hence, aid, victory, prosperity.
KJV: deliverance, health, help (-ing), salvation, save, saving (health), welfare.
Greek: G4991 soteriaso-tay-ree'-ah feminine of a derivative of G4990 as (properly, abstract) noun; rescue or safety (physically or morally).
KJV: deliver, health, salvation, save, saving.
Salvation simply means to save, to deliver. The question now is; who are we being delivered from? Before we find out who or what we are being delivered from, it is appropriate to first find out who or what the children of Israel were delivered from.
The Jews were delivered from the curse of the law which is as a result of the breaking of the law. When Prophet Moses gave the children of Israel the Law, he told them the blessings that will come upon them in the keeping of the law and the curses that will come upon them if they fail to keep the law. The children of Israel failed to keep the law of the Lord their God so the curses came upon them and over took them. These curses are what the children of Israel were redeemed from. Deuteronomy 28 v 1 - 15
Galatians 3 v 13
Christ hath redeemed US from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
The “US” there is not talking about everyone or everybody in the world, Apostle Paul was referring to himself and his brethren who are Jews. The ‘us’ there is for the Jews only because only the Jews had the Law.
Romans 2 v 14
For when the Gentiles, WHICH HAVE NOT THE LAW, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
The gentiles which mean the rest of the whole world did not have the Law of Moses neither was it given to them therefore whatever the Law says was for the children of Israel alone.
Romans 3 v 19
Now we know that what things SOEVER THE LAW SAITH, IT SAITH TO THEM WHO ARE UNDER THE LAW (Jews): that every mouth may be stopped, and ALL THE WORLD (GENTILES) MAY BECOME GUILTY BEFORE GOD.
Galatians 3 v 10
For as many as are of the works of the law are under THE CURSE: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
“the curse” of what? The CURSE of the Law which Christ redeemed the children of Israel from.
Galatians 3 v 13
Christ hath redeemed US from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
Jesus Christ was made a ‘CURSE’ for the children of Israel that were under the curse of the law thereby made them free from the condemnation of the curse of the law.
The gentiles that is; the rest of the whole world were not under the Law so they couldn’t be under the curse of the law. The rest of the world was delivered from “THE BONDAGE OF SIN”. As it is written;
Romans 6 v 18 – 20
BEING THEN MADE FREE FROM SIN, ye became the servants of righteousness.
I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
For when YE WERE THE SERVANTS OF SIN, ye were free from righteousness.
The blood of Jesus Christ paid for the CURSE of the law for the children of Israel and also the ATONEMENT FOR THE SIN of the rest of the whole world. Since there is no remission of sin without the shedding of blood, He paid with His precious blood.
Hebrews 9 v 22
And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
“For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners”- Romans 5 v 19
“The sin God is holding against other nations including you is the sin of disobedience of Adam in the Garden of Eden and the wrongs you are doing now not the curse of the breaking of the law”.
“The sin of Adam is the father of all the sins you and I had committed”
“To destroy a tree you don’t cut the branches alone, the stem and the roots have to be uprooted”.
“To save man from sinning, the sin of Adam which gave birth to all sins have to be uprooted”.
“When the sin of Adam is removed, man will be what he used to be initially when God created him”.
“When God created Adam there was no sin in him until he obeyed Satan through his wife”.
“Jesus has uprooted the sin of Adam; therefore all other sins have withered except we don’t want to let them go.”
“No branch of a tree can be alive neither can the leaves of a tree be green if the root is uprooted”.
“Anyone who believe in Christ is a man whose root of sin is destroyed thereby making him live a life that sin cannot stick with”.
“When you are in Christ sin cannot hold on to you except you want to hold on to sin”.
“For a man to be delivered from sin, a sacrifice of blood has to be made to atone for his sins”.
Sin is a reproach, sin brings death, sin brings separation from our God, it is also written that the wages of sin is death, let us find out how we can come out of the sin of Adam and our present sins and how we can reconcile with God our maker.
