Chapter XXXVII.

On Saturday, January 5, 2041, Christophe and Kitty decide to do some of their own sight-seeing.

They start with The Venetian Pool. Then, they go to the Coral Gables Merrick House Gardens. They eat at Jimmy John’s for lunch that Saturday. That evening, they dine at Seasons 52.

On Sunday, January 6, 2041, they dine at Shula’s Grill for lunch. On Monday, January 7, 2041, they call Eric to wish him a happy birthday. He will be turning thirty four on this particular day.

They tour the Ancient Spanish Monastery and the Art Deco Historic District. Kitty and Christophe go to the Miracle Mile in Coral Gables to do shopping and dining. They shop both days, and Kitty is able to purchase some golden, La Perla lingerie, which she wears for Christophe later in the evening.

The next day, they do more shopping on the Miracle Mile, and eat at the Benihana for dinner.

On Wednesday, January 9, 2041, the couple returns to the Key West International Airport, to turn in their rental car, as well as depart for Jack Edwards Airport (JKA), in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

Once the couple returns to Jack Edwards Airport (JKA), in Gulf Shores, Alabama, they retain their luggage, and drive their vehicle back to their residence in Orange Beach, Alabama.

They call their son, Eric, who is a police officer in Bay Minette, Alabama, the following day, to let him know he is okay.
