Compatible Personal Financial Styles
If you have your personal finances in order, one other thing you have to envision for your potential partner is for him or her to have a similar outlook or style to personal finances.
How compatible the two of you are when it comes to handling money is one of the most serious aspects of compatibility between two people. It’s a foretaste of how marriage will be like between the two of you.
Peter and Andrea’s wedding
Andrea is a 25-year old marketing writer from the city of Spokane in the U.S. state of Washington, who recently got married to her boyfriend Peter, a digital print technician.
Like all couples very much in love, they had been discussing their possible marriage for some time. But how they got engaged was done in a slightly non-traditional way: during a family wedding, after Peter caught the garter at the
traditional garter-toss, it was Andrea who dropped down on her knee and proposed marriage to him. (She gave him an opal earring.)
The engagement alone is actually the least unusual thing about Andrea and Peter. In June 2010, they were featured on American local news as the “wedding can couple” because they were paying for their wedding using money they earned from recycling around 400,000 used aluminum cans.
(Say what? Yes, aluminum cans.)
