Alex’s Parents
My mobile rang and I looked at my screen, it read ’Mum’. “Hi mum”
“Hello Alex, how's my daughter today?” “Fine, just got up.” I said yawning.
“Just got up? It's eleven am, are you ill?” She said.
“No no, I'm just having a lie in, I’ve been working hard all week.”
I didn't bother telling her about my night out with Chris, she was quite strict and didn't appreciate 'a fun night out'. She was very academic and would rather sit in watching a documentary about World War 1 or something. She didn't quite understand me wanting to study art, she was happy I had a job now though. I think she was afraid I'd be a penny-less painter at the time, but now she understood that I could work with art as a job and paint on the side.
