Chapter 11

 

The Elf Forest

 

I opened my eyes and looked down at my bare feet. I was standing on a wooden step. As I looked to my side I saw a huge tree, the steps whirling around the tree all the way up. I was standing fairly close to the ground. The giant tree had a magnificent crown at the top intertwining with other tree crowns nearby making a sort of roof of leaves with bright sunlight peeking through the opening. There were bright lights down the wooden stair banister that hovered just above it. The light seemed to be alive, like stars. I stretched out my hand to touch it. It didn’t seem to be hot and as I brushed it gently with my fingers small tiny lights like grains of sand puffed out shining like a mini galaxy and then landed back in to its little ball again.

The banister itself was beautifully woven tree branches
