ONE PRECIOUS MOMENT

“What is wrong. Did you hear from Rahul?”

“No, but where are you going and why aren’t you with us there?”

“Oh because I don’t like cremations and I was on my way to ask Rahul’s colleagues about his whereabouts. Hey, by the way what are they all doing here. I thought someone in the family passed away but now it seems someone from the office, because I can’t think of any other reason for them being here…. You know Aashi, Rahul is going to be so mad he was not here. You know how meticulous he is about norms and duty. He will hate for not paying his respects to the departed.”

“Mira di we need to go to Mom and dad now.”

“Aashi I am not going anywhere near there. I am fine here, you go, I hate this thing okay. And anyways at least tell me who died, everyone is avoiding answering that particular question even you.”

“Okay, he was someone we all loved dearly and will always love. And you need to see him and say your bye to him okay. Come with me please, just this once okay.”

I let Aashi push me to the body where I see the parents, relatives and yes, it was Mrs. Chawla all standing around him.

They all were crying in fact mummy was uncontrollable.

Seeing her I stopped.

“No, no, no, I am not coming I am not seeing whoever it is.
