-R-

After two weeks of practicing dancing with Sara, Robert finally started to understand how to dance. Before that he just tried to copy the moves. Dancing was fun, but seeing Sara always made Robert so happy. He liked the compliments from Sara, so he practiced later by himself, too. Michelle sometimes invited him to the activies, too (It was her trying to help Robert). They went to movies and dinners. Robert could not be alone with Sara, but he got to know her much better. He wished that he was this young in real life so he could continue to live. Oh, if only I had a little more time, I could see her longer, and if there was more time, maybe I could open her mind... Robert thought. He noticed that sometimes Jennifer stared at him, and when he looked at her she would just smile at him and start talking to him. He wondered why she would always stare first instead of just speaking to him.

Sometimes he could not sleep because he was nervous about dying, and he checked the tattoos on his body often. When that happened he had to take sleeping pills. He tried to enjoy the time he had. He went to the club, but he did not like it. He visited famous restaurants with Boldo (Boldo had to be in disguise), he listened to music he had never listened to before, and watched as many movies as possible.

“I am thinking about going to the magic show bar tonight; do you want to come?” Robert said.

Boldo nodded. His dark circles became darker than before.

“Are you sick? Do you want me to buy you some medicine?”

“No medicine, but can you buy me something? Boldo gave Robert a list of things to buy. Some of them were hard to find, so he had to order them online or buy it at the Chinese market. While he was driving back, he drove up to the mountain that was close to his town. He got out of the car, and hiked up to the top. It was a beautiful scene. It was the sky and the nature where he played with Neal when he was young. The nature was always there. He was the only one who changed, and he was the one who came back. Where was I for all this time? He raised his hands up. It felt very nice. He thought it would be helpful for Boldo if he took him there.

When Robert came back, Boldo was asleep. He was still having a hard time about what he did. Robert sat down on the couch. It was quiet, but not like before; he was not lonely.

Robert was satisfied with his decision. There was one thing that bothered him, and it was that he couldn’t tell Sara how he really felt about her. He wanted to, but he was afraid Sara would run away from him.
