Chapter 32: Found

One of the things that the security protocols checked for is devices that broadcast signals. However, you can not check for devices that could broadcast signals. Part of the security is trusting those brought in. Unfortunately, the husband of couple two had a dirty secret.

Stuart provided him sex partners. He agreed to do anything Stuart wanted. Every Friday, he would turn on a hidden phone to call a number. The person answering the call would give him a task and location.

The task might be collect a six pack of beer and go to this address. The girl took the beer and had sex with him. Later on, it became much more difficult because now they had supplying alcohol to minors on him. Now, he was a full-time drug dealer.

He was so caught up in it, he was happy to vanish. Unfortunately, his depression, from the mess he was in, started his sampling the product. Just a tiny taste here or there. Now, he was going through withdrawals and it sucked.

He knew the wolves were wanted and that they could give him a new life. But, he also knew he could not stand this much longer. He also knew that Stuart had vanished and was likely here some place. He figure that kind of information could fix him up for life.

In the bathroom, he turned on the phone. He sent a text to the number. 'I am with the wolves. What is it worth to you?' He shut the phone off and took a cold shower. That helped with the withdrawals so he did not check for a response. An hour later, he was hurting badly and check the phone.

'Anything you want,' was the response. He texted his location and demands.

Three hours later the complex was a war zone. The vehicles driving into the wolf section set off immediate reaction. The wolf soldiers attacked, while the non-soldiers retreated into the mountain side woods behind the condos.

The lunas guided their pack away, with different directions, so they quickly split up. Each heading towards the same goal in Albany, their buses.

The alphas lead the attack on the bears. But, the bears did not spread out. They worked together killing those in reach. The wolves did not stand a chance this way. Kam shouted instructions with alpha authority to force the soldiers to obey him. Many alphas died in the initial skirmish. A good fifty wolves died before they listened to Kam.

He ordered groups of twenty be made and let the bears come to them. The bears stayed in five groups of four, creating a stalemate. His five groups against theirs.
