“That’s true, but I haven’t seen the kids in days.
They told me they were going on a space adventure to help an Alien prince save their planet,” Kirk told the deputies.
Billy and Kent looked at each other and felt it was a bunch of malarkey.
“Can we search your property?” asked Kent.
“Be my guest,” Kirk said, then removed a key from his right pants pocket and unlocked the gate.
He opened the gate and Billy and Kent entered his property and started searching the place.
The sky looked beautiful with the sinking sun on the Neila mountain ledge.
Luna, the Surfers, and the Space Dreamers all sat around the campfire near the ledge.
Monica sat by the hut, still scared she might fall off the ledge.
All the Space Dreamers had full tummies from eating exotic fruits.
“Now, that was some delicious fruits and berries,”
Frankie said with sleepy eyes. He burped, and the rest of the Space Dreamers thought that was cool, so they burped.
Lon, Lorge, and Bingo looked at each other, nodded in agreement, and burped extremely loud with sound waves that knocked the Space Dreamers over.
They got up and gave the Surfers a “Thumbs up”
sign thinking that was way too cool.
Saul sky surfed up to the ledge, jumped off his sky board, and tucked it under his right arm. “Meena has Sona locked up in his residence at the Army base,” he 105
told Luna running over to him with his skyboard in hand.
Luna did not like what he heard. “She’s probably heavily guarded,” Luna replied, then got a brave look.
“But that’s not going to stop me!”
“Do you have an extra skyboard?” Luna asked Lon. “In the hut,” Lon replied.
“What’s our plan?” Timmy asked.
Luna looked at the ledge. He motioned for everybody to come close to him. Everybody did except for Monica, who sat by the hut.
They huddled together, and Luna explained his plan. The planet Deserta was nothing but desert sand, some rocky mountains with clear blue sky and hot blazing sun.
King Tona’s Cadillac limo spaceship dove down from the blue sky to the desert.
It dove straight at a huge rock. But Albie quickly pulled the limo upward, and the bottom of the limo scraped over the top of that hard rock.
The limo dove downward and crashed nose first deep into the sand.
Back on Earth in Florida, Billy and Kent got back in their car and drove back to their office on Merritt Island. They could not find any signs of Timmy, Frankie, or Monica on Kirk’s property.
An hour had passed. A Brevard Sheriff ’s Bell 406
JetRanger helicopter took off from the Merritt Island airport.
It headed north toward the space center and was going to search the space center property for the three kids. NASA’s Huey helicopter also planned to assist with the search.
It was nighttime down on the planet of Neila.
106
Neilaville was lit up while numerous Neilas strolled up and down the sidewalk of Neilaville Parkway.
The recent news about the Earth creatures was still on their minds, but since there have not been any reported sightings - they felt safe.
They stopped at a newsstand, which emitted a hologram newspaper with “King Tona Shot Down By Earthlings. Meena Wants War!” headlines.
“Prince Luna brings deadly creatures here to our home, and now King Tona’s shot down by Earthlings?
What’s going on with our peaceful world?” a male Neila asked.
“Poor King Tona! What do you think the Earthlings will do with him?” a female Neila asked and looked concerned.
“Eat him?” a young boy Neila answered.
“I heard that Earthling will dissect creatures from other planets,” a young woman said and looked scared.
All the female Neilas eyes crossed. They fainted and dropped to the sidewalk.
Some male Neilas saw the females fainted on the sidewalk. Their eyes crossed, and they fainted, then dropped to the sidewalk.
All the surrounding Neilas rushed over to their aid. Inside Meena’s office, he sat behind his desk and read some paperwork with the crown inches from him.
Boe, Burpy, and Dopey entered, looking exhausted.
“Boss. We’ve searched and searched, and we haven’t found them yet. But everybody’s on the lookout,” Boe told Meena.
“Can we get some sleep now?” Burpy burped out.
They all yawned.
107
Meena got mad. “NO! You’ll keep on searching until you find him!” Meena ordered, eyes bulging, and slammed his fist on the top of his desk.
Boe, Burpy, and Dopey moped out of Meena’s office dead tired.
108
Later that night, the Neila Army base was quiet, with only a handful of soldiers pulling guard duty.
They were bored to almost falling asleep at any given second. Some did fell flat on their faces.
The perimeter of the Army base was entirely surrounded by a wire fence with sharp razor blades that resembled a barbed wire fence from Earth. Even though there was no high crime on Neila, Meena insisted on this type of fence so he could feel superior.
High up in the sky above one section of fence, Luna and the Surfers surfed down with the Space Dreamers clinging to the Surfers' chests for dear life.
"I hate these things!" Monica muttered quietly as she decided to tag along because staying up on that mountain ledge alone was terrifying.
They landed near the barbed wire perimeter fence with some nearby woods.
Luna stepped off his board. Timmy stepped off with a strange-looking shovel in hand.
"I want one of those things," he said while he admired Luna's skyboard.
Frankie stepped off Lorge's skyboard.
"You can open your eyes now," Bingo told Monica.
She opened up her eyes and looked around. She felt safe, so she jumped off Bingo's board. She was relieved the second her feet touched the ground.
109
The Surfers looked at Luna. "We'll meet you here with a Holophone," Lorge told Luna.
The Surfers jumped back on their sky boards and surfed back up into the sky and away.
Luna grabbed his sky board and ran with it into the woods.
Inside the woods, he stashed his skyboard into a bush. He ran back to the Space Dreamers.
"Okay, let's get to work," Luna said, taking the shovel out of Timmy's hand.
Luna rushed to the fence and started digging a hole with the shovel. He placed the dirt next to the hole by the fence.
Luna, Timmy, Frankie, and Monica dug a hole under the fence for the next fifteen minutes.
Monica's ears perked up. "Someone's coming."
Everybody looked and saw the headlights of a vehicle approaching their left.
They all ran into the woods, and Luna had the shovel in hand.
Inside the Army base, a Jeep hovercraft, with two soldiers named Noobo and Jabo, flew about twenty feet from the fence and hole, then stopped. The Jeep hovered four feet above the ground.
Noobo looked the second a searchlight passed along the middle section of the fence. The light illuminated the dirt mound from the Space Dreamers digging that hole.
"Those ants are back again," Noobo said.
"Whoa, look at that ant pile. It's huge! We better get the exterminator out here at sunrise," Jabo commented to his partner, who nodded in agreement.
The soldiers flew away in the Jeep and didn't spot the hole under the fence.
110
Luna, without the shovel, and the Space Dreamers ran out of the woods. They headed back to the hole under the fence.
He looked around the area. "They're gone," he told everybody.
They all took turns crawling into the hole and snuck into the base.
Inside Meena's residence, a guard stood by a closed door. His eyes slowly closed, and his body swayed. He almost fell over from falling asleep. He woke up and regained his composure. He was so close to dozing off.
Meena walked down the hallway carrying his crown under one arm. He stopped at the guard, who immediately snapped to attention and saluted.
"I'm going to bed, and nobody, I mean nobody's allowed in her room," Meena instructed the guard.
"Yes, sir," the guard said and followed up with another salute.
He watched while Meena walked down the hallway, turned down another, and walked out of sight.
The guard placed his arm back down and slowly closed his eyes.
Luna and the Space Dreamers ran along the back of a building in another section of the Army base.
Luna suddenly stopped. "Freeze!" he warned everyone.
The Space Dreamers piled up and stayed frozen in a heap while a searchlight passed along the ground and missed them by inches.
"It's safe," Luna motioned for them to continue.
Luna and the Space Dreamers peeked around the side of the building and saw Meena's residence.
At the front door of Meena's residence, two guards stood with their eyes slowly closing. They didn't see Luna and the Space Dreamers sneak across the 111
street and run down the side of the building. They opened their eyes, but they were too sleepy, so their eyes slowly closed shut.
Meena was sound asleep inside his bedroom. He had one arm around the crown and his other arm around a toy alien creature. He slept with a huge smile.
He had a dream.
In Meena's dream, he had King Tona's Palace torn down and a new Palace built. It was three times larger than the old Palace and gaudy looking. He had Sona as his Queen and just changed the name of their planet to Meena.
Meena was now King of the Universe. He had just conquered Earth with so many weapons of mass destruction that all the other planets easily surrendered.
He even had a new crown and was more flasher than King Tona's old crown.
He lived the good life.
The Holophone on Meena's bedside table bee booped and woke him out of his sweet dream.
Meena opened his sleepy eyes while a hologram of a Soldier emitted from it.
"General Meena, someone broke into the base,"
said the soldier hologram.
Meena yawned. "That's nice private," he replied without a clue what the soldier's message meant. All he wanted was to return to his sweet dream.
Meena reached over and slapped a button, and the hologram disappeared.
Meena closed his eyes. A few seconds passed, his eyes opened wide, and it dawned on him what the soldier had told him. He jumped out of bed, holding the crown and his bedtime toy. He wore new PJs that had little gold crowns all over them.
He ran over to a dresser and opened up a drawer.
112
He removed numerous pairs of underwear and placed the crown inside the drawer. He kissed his toy, squeaked, and placed it inside the drawer.
He covered the crown and toy with his underwear and slammed the drawer shut.
He overlooked one of the guards that watched from the doorway. The guard rolled his eyes, thinking Meena was weird. The guard saw Meena move to turn around, so he quickly ran down the hallway.
Meena stormed out of his room.
Outside at the rear of Meena's residence, Luna stood on his tippy toes and peeked into Meena's bedroom. He saw it was cleared of Meena.
He rushed over to another window and peeked inside Meena's office. It was cleared of Meena.
"He's not in the building," Luna told everybody.
Outside the front entrance of Meena's residence, the two guards drifted off to sleep.
The front door slammed with a bang, and the two guards jumped awake.
Meena stormed out of the door and stopped at the guards. "You're on triple high alert as those Earth creatures are on base," Meena said.
"Yes sir!" the guards snapped back in unison.
Meena rushed off down the street.
At the rear of Meena's residence, Luna and the Space Dreamers tried to open a window at the back of Meena's office.
"It won't open," Luna said, then thought about how he could get inside.
"We'll have to break in the glass," Timmy told Luna. Frankie, Monica, Luna, and Timmy looked around the area for something that would perform this task.
"I found something," Monica said while she bent down and picked up a small sparkly crystal rock.
113
Luna took it out of her hand. "I'll do this and take full responsibility," he said and immediately threw the crystal at the window. The glass shattered into a million tiny pieces.
Luna and the Space Dreamers took turns climbing through the window.
Luna and the Space Dreamers stood inside Meena's office.
They ran out of the office and into a hallway.
They stopped dead in their tracks the second they saw the guard.
But the guard they spotted leaned against the wall by a door was sound asleep and swayed a bit.
Luna thought for a second. He looked down at the Space Dreamers and then got an idea. He motioned them into a huddle where they quietly talked.
The huddle broke up.
Frankie quickly ran down the hallway to the sleeping guard.
Frankie got inches from the sleeping guard's face.
Luna and the other Space Dreamers stepped into Meena's office out of view of the guard.
"Hello, General Meena!" Luna yelled out from the inside of the office.
The guard woke in a panic, afraid of the wrath of Meena if he was caught sleeping. Then he realized that Frankie stared into his eyes.
"What's up, dude," Frankie said with a smile on the guard's face.
The guard's eyes widen with fear. "Earth creatures!" he cried out in a panic, then his eyes crossed, and passed out. He dropped to the floor.
Luna ran out of Meena's office.
He and the Space Dreamers ran to that door.
Luna stepped back, and body slammed the door. It did not open. He stepped back, and body slammed the 114
door with his shoulder. The door did not open. Luna rubbed his shoulder in pain. He looked at the Space Dreamers, and they figured out what he wanted. They all took a couple of steps back to the wall.
Inside that room, Sona sat on a bed, scared over the sound of someone banging into the door.
The door slammed open, and Sona freaked out.
"Ahhh!" she screamed out, terrified.
She saw the Space Dreamers tumbling into the room. She did not see Luna amongst them. "Aliens!"
she screamed while she stood on her bed for protection.
Luna crawled up out from under the Space Dreamers.
He ran over and jumped on the bed and quickly covered her mouth. "Sona! It's okay. They're my friends from Earth who helped me come home. They won't hurt you. That's Timmy, Frankie, and Monica,"
Luna comforted her.
Sona saw Luna and calmed down. She looked relieved and hugged him tightly. "I thought I'd never see you again," she said while her eyes welled up.
Luna grabbed Sona's hand. "We're getting you out of here," he said.
Sona quickly got off the bed.
They all ran out of the room.
At the back of the building by Meena's broken office window, Luna assisted all the Space Dreamers while they climbed out of the window. He assisted Sona while she climbed out of the window. He climbed out.
"Let's get out of here before Meena finds out," he told everybody outside the window.
They ran away.
Sona and the Space Dreamers ran to that perimeter fence area with their hole.
115
They got to the fence and took turns crawling through the dug.
Monica was the last one to crawl through the hole.
They stood happy they made it free and clear. They started to run away when someone stepped out of the woods.
"Did you think you can stop me from being King by stealing my Queen?" Meena's voice surprised them.
They turned around and saw Meena still in his PJs, with Boe, Burpy, and Dopey by his side. The three goofs had laser pistols aimed at them.
Meena rushed over and grabbed Timmy by his right arm. He pressed his laser pistol into the back of Timmy's head. "Arrest them all!" Meena ordered.
Boe walked over, slammed Luna to the ground with his boot, and handcuffed him.
Dopey walked over, slammed Sona to the ground with his boot, and handcuffed her.
Luna got pissed and tried to squirm away from Boe, who pressed his boot harder into Luna's back, which caused him pain. Luna stopped.
Frankie and Monica all ran around like crazy people while Burpy chased after them.
Burpy tried to grab Monica's hair, but she was too evasive, and Burpy fell flat on his face.
He got up with grass in his mouth. He spat it out and ran after Frankie thinking he was an easier challenge.
He tried to grab the back of Frankie's shirt. He missed and fell flat on his face.
He got up frustrated with more grass in his mouth. He spat it out and saw Monica and decided to try her again.
He dove after her and grabbed missed her right shoe. He fell face first into a pile of ants.
116
"Ahhhh!" Burpy cried out while he frantically smacked the hundreds of giant ants racing around his face. Frankie and Monica ran into the woods, scared to death.
Meena got upset. "Let's go! I'll send out Squad Beano to hunt down the rest of them. They'll be perfect experiments for my new laser weapons," he told Boe, Burpy, and Dopey.
Meena kept his laser pistol pressed to the back of Timmy's head. Timmy fought from peeing his pants.
Boe pointed his laser pistol into the back of Luna's head.
Dopey pointed his laser pistol at the back of Sona's head.
Burpy looked ashamed for letting the other Earthlings escape.
Way up in the night sky, the Surfers surfed down toward the fence on their sky boards, with Lon holding a Holophone. They looked down at the Army base and spotted Meena, Boe, and Burpy escorting Luna, Sona, and Timmy into the Army base.
"Big trouble. Let's get back home," Lon told the others.
They nodded in agreement and surfed up and away into the sky.
Frankie and Monica cautiously stepped out of the woods by the fence where Meena caught them a few minutes later. They looked around and saw they were alone and got scared.
"What do we do now?" Monica asked.
"The only place to go is that hut, but how do we get there?" Frankie replied.
"I don't want to be an experiment!" said Monica, with her legs trembling.
"Me neither," Frankie added.
117
The whirl of an approaching vehicle was heard then its headlights became visible. They looked around and saw a bush nearby. They rushed over and jumped into it, and hid.
A Jeep hovercraft with two soldiers named Buono and Sound from Squad Beano was inside.
The Jeep flew four feet above the ground and stopped close to that bush. Buono and Souno hopped out and left the Jeep hovering above the ground. They grabbed two laser rifles from the rear of the Jeep.
They ran into the woods, searching for the two remaining Space Dreamers.
Frankie's head poked out of the bush and looked the area over. "Let's run for it now," he told Monica.
"Do we run?" she replied.
"We borrow their Jeep," he replied, then rushed out of the bush.
The second Monica realized she was alone, she ran out of the bush.
They both hopped inside the Jeep with Frankie behind the controls.
"Do you know how to drive this thing?" Monica asked.
"Don't have a clue," Frankie said while he started playing with the joystick control.
The Jeep lunged forward. Then it lunged backward. It lunged forward and flew widely away six feet above the ground.
Monica closed her eyes, scared of being that high off the ground.
Ten minutes later, Buono and Sound came out of the woods.
"Where's our Jeep?" Buono said, scanning the area over in a bit of a panic.
118
Sound scratched his head while he looked around the area and looked worried. "I know I placed it in hover mode," he replied.
"How are we going to explain this to General Meena?" Buono asked with fear in his eyes.
"We don't report it was stolen. We'll tell Meena we walked to this area," Souno replied.
"You got that right," Buono said then they walked away. It was nighttime back on Earth in Florida.
Kirk stood on the roof of his building and stared at the night sky filled with stars. He was worried and regretted talking the kids into flying off with Prince Luna. At this time, he was not suspected of any foul play in the disappearance of the three kids. The parents told the deputies that they knew and trusted that Kirk was telling the truth. The parents knew their kids often went off and pretended to go on outer space adventures. They figured the kids got lost in the woods somehow. They did not all realize that Kirk had told the deputies the truth.
119
Neilaville was nice and quiet while numerous hovercraft vehicles carefully flew down Neilaville Parkway.
The Neilas walked down the sidewalk along the buildings and felt safe from those three dangerous Earth creatures.
A fast whirl and the sounds of two screaming voices filled the air. This was an unfamiliar scream to the Neilas, and they got worried.
The Space Dreamers in that Jeep suddenly flew into view way down Neilaville Parkway.
The Jeep flew wildly all over the street, with Frankie and Monica screaming at the top of their lungs.
The Neilas saw the Earthlings and were scared.
They dove for cover after the Jeep flew inches from smacking into their heads.
“It’s those Earth creatures!” a scared female Neila said while she cowered behind a parked hovered car.
All the Neilas cautiously peeked over their hiding places.
They watched the Jeep fly wildly down the street and smack into numerous cars that slowly flew six feet above the street.
A little while later, it was quiet at the mountain ledge. The quietness was suddenly interrupted by the sound of the whirl of that Jeep flying up from that trail.
120
The Jeep’s headlights were visible from the trail, with Frankie and Monica still screaming.
The Surfers ran out of the hut, wondering what was wrong. They saw the Jeep soar out of the trail.
The Jeep did a loop-d-loop causing the scared-to-death Frankie and Monica to fall out and tumble to the ground.
The Surfers quickly ran over, and Lon caught Frankie while Bingo caught Monica in their arms, saving the two from slamming into the dirt.
The Jeep flew off fifty feet in the air back over the trail. The Jeep took a nose dive into the vegetation off to the side of the trail and disappeared.
The Surfers put Frankie and Monica down, then heard the faint of an explosion from the Jeep after it slammed somewhere in the ground.
“Luna, Sona, and Timmy got arrested by that Meena dude!” Frankie told Lon with worried eyes.
“We know. We saw it from up in the air,” Saul responded.
“What do we do now?” Monica asked, and it looked like she wanted to cry.
“We try to contact King Tona,” Lon told everybody.
The Space Dreamers watched Lon run into the hut. He ran out with a Holophone and set it on the ground near everybody. He pressed a button on it, and they watched as a hologram of nothing but static TV
snow emitted from it.
“King Tona. Come in, King Tona,” Lon spoke into the Holophone. Nothing but static TV snow emitted from it.
“Great. We really lost King Tona; now what?”
Bingo asked.
121
Frankie and Monica looked at the Holophone in awe. “I want a Holophone. It’s cool!” she said.
Frankie nodded in agreement that he also wanted Holophone.
Everybody pondered for a few seconds.
Frankie’s eyes lit up with an idea. “We do what they do on TV. We do a jailbreak!” he said and looked serious.
They thought for a second, then everybody nodded in agreement as they realized they had no other choice.
“If we get caught, we’ll be experiments! Just like Timmy. No! I’m not going!” Monica said, trembling.
“That’s another reason why we need to rescue them. We can’t have our friend being an experiment by aliens,” Frankie told Monica, then he looked at the Surfers. “I don’t mean any disrespect by calling you, aliens.”
“Don’t worry, we also call you aliens,” Lon replied.
“Can’t I stay here?” Monica pleaded.
Bingo looked concerned with Monica, so he walked over to them and placed his arm around her.
“Monica, I’m also afraid, but my friends need me, and I can’t let them down. My future King needs me,”
said Bingo in a comforting tone.
Monica thought about his comment for a few seconds.
“Plus, knowing you saved your friend’s life, you’ll have the best feeling after this is over. If you stay here, you’ll have to live with the feeling you were a chicken for the rest of your life. And we know that Astronauts are not chickens,” Frankie added.
Monica thought about their comments and started to feel a little braver. She smiled and puffed out her 122
chest. “Let’s rescue our friends!” she said but still felt a little scared inside.
“Great! But how can we get on base?” Frankie asked.
“Yeah. They’ll be looking for us, and I can imagine they have a guard gate,” Monica added.
Lorge thought for a few seconds, then reached into his pants pocket and removed a brochure. He looked at it, and his eyes lit up with an idea. “I know how,” Lorge said, then showed them the brochure of an antique spaceship show.
They looked at it but did not understand how that show could be the answer to getting their friends out of jail.
Lorge could sense they could not make the connection. “Well, I’m thinking that there are always soldiers that attend these antique spaceship shows. So if we get some of their uniforms, we could easily waltz onto the base,” Lorge told them, then he pretended to waltz into the base.
The rest of the Surfers and the Space Dreamers thought about his proposal. They all nodded in agreement as that was their best solution.
“Good, now here’s our plan on getting their uniforms,” Lorge told everybody while he motioned that they get in a huddle.
Meanwhile, back in a jail cell on the Army base, Luna sat on a bed directly under a barred window.
Sona lay next to Luna and used his legs as a pillow.
Timmy sat on the other end of the bed near Sona.
Luna played a blues song on his weird looking harmonica.
“I can’t even get my one phone call to call my parents,” Timmy said and looked worried.
From the sky, the Surfers surfed thru the clouds with the Space Dreamers on their boards.
123
Frankie was on the back of Lon’s skyboard, clinging to his chest.
Monica was on the back of Bingo’s skyboard, clinging to his chest. Her eyes were closed, but she did not look as scared as on the previous flights.
Frankie and Monica’s exposed skins were painted with some green stuff that Surfers had in their hut. It was similar to the makeup used on Earth and hopefully helped the two Earthlings blend in with the Neilas.
Frankie and Monica were a lighter shade of green as compared to the aliens.
The Surfers surfed to the woods surrounding a clearing where the antique spaceship show was in progress.
The Surfers landed in the clearing in the middle of the woods.
Everybody hopped off the sky boards.
“Are you sure this will work?” Frankie asked Lorge.
“You bet! These soldiers love these shows,” he answered while they rushed off through the woods with the Surfers holding onto their sky boards.
Meanwhile, back on planet Deserta, King Tona’s limo was buried with its front end buried in the desert and its back end in the air. This configuration created shade.
Albie sat under the rear of the limo in the shade.
King Tona paced outside in the hot sun while he drank liquid from a container. He reached down and handed the liquid container to Albie.
“The ship’s engine is dead. No communications and nothing works,” Albie told King Tona while he took a drink.
“I thought you had my limo serviced?” King Tona added.
124
“I did, sir, last week, and she was tip-top shape,”
Albie responded.
King Tona looked upset up at the sky. “Luna, my dear son,” King Tona wiped tears from his eyes.
Back on Neila in the clearing in the woods, hundreds of antique spaceships were parked in rows for viewing at the annual Neila antique spaceship show.
Some of them had features that resembled antique cars from Earth.
Hundreds of Neilas wandered around admiring these spaceships.
At the back row of some spaceships by the woods, the Surfers and the Space Dreamers poked their heads around trees. They all had a broken tree branch in hand.
“Let’s move out,” Lon said.
They stepped away, but Monica’s ears perked up.
“Wait, someone is coming,” she called out.
They stepped back behind those trees when they saw a male Neila with a pot belly and his wife walking near the Surfers and the Space Dreamers.
The male drooled over the sight of this spaceship which was a sleek two-seater with 1962 Corvette features.
“Look, honey! Isn’t she pretty? I’ve wanted one of these ever since I was a kid,” he told her.
She looked at the spaceship and got upset. “Well, I’ve always wanted a space knight in a shiny spacesuit, and look what I got,” she responded and walked away.
The male realized he had said the wrong thing and ran after her. “I mean, I’ve always wanted you, honey,”
the man said, running up to his wife.
Frankie, Monica, and the Surfers snuck up to the back of that Corvette spaceship. They crouched down behind it.
“The coast is finally clear,” Lon told everybody.
125
Lon snuck around to the front of the Corvette spaceship. He pretended to check out the spaceship while he discreetly scanned the area.
Two minutes had passed, and Lon saw four soldiers named Would, Doona, Gorga, and Alba walking down the aisle toward him. They all wore the standard Neila Army green fatigues and hats with no stripes on their sleeves.
“Perfect,” Lon quietly said to himself, then rushed back to the rear of the Corvette spaceship.
“You’re on, Monica,” he told her the second he got to the rear of the spaceship where everybody else crouched out of view.
Monica got up, strutted down the Corvette spaceship’s left side, and headed to the front end.
Would, Doona, Gorga, and Alba walked and admired the spaceships on both sides of that aisle.
They didn’t see Monica standing by the Corvette spaceship.
“Hey fellows, I love kissing soldiers. Follow me,”
she said, then blew kisses at Would, Doona, Gorga, and Alba. She turned around and ran down the left side of the Corvette spaceship.
The four soldiers could not believe their eyes.
“I want some kisses,” cried out Gorga, his eyes beaming with love.
“Me too!” Doona replied with his eyes beaming in love. Alba and Would nodded in agreement; they wanted some kisses then the four ran after Monica.
The second Would, Doona, Gorga, and Alba, arrived at the rear of the Corvette spaceship; they were whacked on their heads by tree branches by the Surfers.
The four soldiers did not know what hit them when they dropped to the ground and passed out.
126
Lon, Saul, Lorge, and Bingo quickly dragged Would, Doona, Gorga, and Alba away into the woods with their black boots.
In the woods, Lon and Bingo removed the uniforms off of Would, Doona, Gorga, and Alba.
Lorge, Saul, Frankie, and Monica returned to the Corvette spaceship for two more victims.
Three minutes had passed, and Saul and Lorge dragged two more knocked-out soldiers named Sallo and Rillo by their boots into the woods.
A few minutes passed, and Lon, Saul, Lorge, Bingo, Frankie, and Monica rushed off into the woods wearing those soldiers’ uniforms and hats.
In another area of the antique spaceship show, an orange alien from another planet with his orange wife walked around and checked out the Cousteau capsule.
“I’m going to buy it,” the orange alien told his wife. “I don’t know why you like those alien spaceships.
If it breaks down, who can fix it?” she asked with her arms crossed.
The orange alien did not hear his wife as he was too focused on the Cousteau capsule.
A few minutes later, the Surfers surfed out of the woods on their sky boards.
Lon was on the back of Lon’s sky board while Monica was on the back of Bingo’s sky board. She looked a little braver flying high in the air.
Back on Earth in Florida, the Brevard Sheriff ’s office started to gather up volunteers to search the woods by the southern end of the space center. All the volunteers were provided pictures of Timmy, Frankie, and Monica and handheld radios for communicating back to the Command Post. The Command Post was where the Commander monitored the progress of this search effort.
127
An unmarked sheriff ’s detective’s car parked down the street from Kirk’s place. Two detectives staked out Kirk’s place, ensuring he was not involved with the disappearance of the three kids.
Back on the planet of Neila, the Surfers sky surfed over to the Army base.
They surfed down to some woods out of view of the front security gate.
They got off their sky boards and stuffed them behind some big bushes.
They rushed off through the woods.
Five minutes later, the Surfers walked down King Tona Parkway and headed to the base’s front gate.
When they got closer, they got nervous.
“Are you sure we can pull this off?” Bingo asked.
“Yeah, it sounded good when he first talked about it, but now that we’re almost there, I’m a little nervous,”
Saul added.”
“Yeah, I also starting to wonder if we can really pull this off without getting arrested,” Frankie said.
Monica nodded in agreement while she stared at the base’s front gate.
“We have to try, as we can’t let our friends rot in jail,” Lon replied with a tone of confidence they were going to pull off this heroic act.
The Surfers all got quiet while they got closer to the base’s front gate, where there was a guard shack.
A few minutes later, the Surfers walked up to the guard gate where mean-looking Sergeant Carto, with a substantial big crooked nose and purple spiky crew cut hairstyle, stepped out of the guard shack.
Sergeant Carto held up a hand. “Halt!” he demanded with a stern look.
The Surfers stopped and cringed, thinking they were caught.
128
Sergeant Carto looked at the Surfers and Frankie and Monica.
His eyes made them nervous.
“You two Privates look a little pale,” Sergeant Carto yelled at Frankie and Monica like a drill instructor spraying spit on them.
Frankie and Monica got even more nervous.
“Report to the gym immediately. Some exercise should bring your color back!” Sergeant Carto yelled, spraying more spit on them.
The Surfers, Frankie, and Monica nodded in agreement pissing off the Sergeant.
“I can’t hear you!” Sergeant Carto yelled with a Marine drill instructor tone.
“Ah. .thank you,” Lorge responded.
His response made Sergeant Carto fuming mad.
Bingo figured it out and saluted. “Yes, sir!” Bingo responded like a soldier.
Frankie, Monica, Lon, Saul, and Lorge saw Bingo saluting, then took off running down the main street of the base called Meena Parkway.
Sergeant Carto watched them with suspicious eyes. Frankie, Monica, and the Surfers wiped Sergeant Carto’s spit off their faces while they ran down the street.
Later, Frankie, Monica, and the Surfers walked down Laser Beam Street side street on the Army base.
They walked past a newsstand with a hologram newspaper with “King Tona Held Prisoner on Earth.
General Meena Wants War!” headlines.
Curious looks grew on their faces. They stopped, walked back over, and read the hologram.
“Privates! What are you doing?” bellowed Meena’s voice from behind them.
129
They turned around and saw Meena standing behind them, and he was furious.
“Reading the news, sir,” Lorge responded.
“We have dangerous aliens on our planet, and all you can think about is reading the news! Get off to work finding these dangerous creatures!” Meena screamed at them, spraying them with spit.
Frankie, Monica, and the Surfers jumped up, startled, and took off running while Meena watched them.
Meena got a “Do I know them?” look on his face for a few seconds but shrugged it off and strutted away. Frankie, Monica, and the Surfers again wiped spit off their faces while they ran off down the street.
“What’s with you aliens and your spit?” Monica asked.
The Surfers chuckled while they ran down Laser Beam Street.
Back down on Earth in Florida, the volunteers gathered at the Command Post at one of the old abandoned badging stations in the southern part of the space center.
The Commander, for the start of today’s search activities, provided the volunteers a briefing.
Back on Neilson at the Army base, Frankie, Monica, and the Surfers ran to the back of the two-story jail building located off Laser Beam Street.
They looked around and saw that the coast was clear.
“Let’s do this,” Lon told everybody.
They all looked at the row of barred cell windows on the first floor.
“I wonder which jail cell they’re in?” Frankie asked while he looked at the barred windows.
They all looked up at the barred windows.
130
Monica’s ears perked up. “Shhh! Someone’s coming,” she cautioned everybody.
Frankie, Monica, and the Surfers looked around and saw a bush nearby.
They ran over to it, jumped inside the thick bush, and hid.
They all peeked out between the leaves and looked around the building.
They saw Sergeant Carto walking around the corner of the building.
Sergeant Carto saw Frankie, Monica, and the Surfers peeking out from that bush. He got mad while he clenched his fists. “What are you doing in that bush?” the Sergeant yelled.
“Ah, we’re, ah,” sputtered Lorge while he and everybody got out of the bush.
“We’re practicing maneuvers for when we attack Earth,” Frankie replied.
“Well, you’re doing a lousy job as I could see all of your ugly faces from inside that bush,” Sergeant Carto replied and looked pissed.
“We’ll do better after some training,” Saul replied.
Sergeant Carto looked at them for a few seconds, which made everybody nervous. “I want you four to work at the front gate,” the Sergeant barked out while he pointed at the Surfers.
“I don’t think we can do that,” Bingo replied.
Sergeant Carto got red-faced furious, and jumped into their faces. “Disobey an order? From a Sergeant?
I’ll have you in jail!” Sergeant Carto screamed, spraying more spit on their faces, and pointed to the barred windows.
The Surfers ran away, wiping the Sergeant’s spit off their faces.
“You two stay here and guard the rear of the jail.
We have one of those creepy Earth aliens inside, and 131
you better catch him if he escapes,” Sergeant Carto said to Frankie and Monica.
Frankie and Monica saluted Sergeant Carto.
Sergeant Carto grunted at the two showing his displeasure, turned around, and marched off.
Frankie and Monica looked at each other and felt alone and clueless about what to do next.
Back on Earth in Florida, the volunteers started their search through the woods of the southern part of the space center. It was another hot and muggy morning, but they were determined to tolerate the heat in hopes of finding the three kids alive.
132
Back on Neila, Frankie and Monica glanced up at the building of the jail wall and looked worried.
Frankie scanned the area and spotted a giant tow truck hovercraft with a back boom and hook parked in a parking lot fifty feet away.
He looked at the barred windows and looked back at the tow truck. His eyes lit up.
"I have a great idea! We can use that tow truck over there to pull the window out of the wall, then they can escape," Frankie told Monica while he pointed at the tow truck.
Monica looked at the tow truck and looked unsure. "I don't know. Your success rate with driving isn't excellent at the moment," Monica recalled the Jeep incident.
Frankie looked back up at the barred windows.
He puffed out his chest. "I can do it! I know I can!"
"But which window?" Monica asked while she looked up at the barred windows.
Inside their jail cell, Luna still sat on the bed, depressed.
Sona lay asleep on the bed, and Timmy sat on the floor. Then Frankie's voice was heard coming from outside the window. "Timmy! Prince Luna!"
Luna and Timmy's eyes lit up, overhearing those familiar voices from the outside.
133
Luna quickly stood up on the bed and looked out the barred window. He saw Frankie and Monica dressed in the Army uniforms outside but was unsure who they were.
"Who are you?" Luna asked.
"It's me, Frankie, and Monica. We're in disguise,"
Frankie called out and removed his hat for a few seconds, then placed it back on his head.
It took a few seconds for him to believe those two were his Earthlings friends. He stuck his hand through the bars and waved at him.
From outside the jail cell, Frankie and Monica saw Luna waving through the barred windows.
"We're going to bust you out!" Frankie called out.
"Yeah. We're gonna drive that tow truck, so you better get far away from that wall as you can. I mean, really far away," Monica warned them while she pointed at the tow truck.
Luna glanced at where Monica pointed, then waved at them that he understood their plan.
"Hurry, everybody, to the bars while they try to break us out by using a tow truck," he told Sona and Timmy.
Timmy quickly ran to the other end of the cell to the cell door.
Sona woke up and looked a little confused as to why Timmy was at the other end of the jail cell.
Luna grabbed her hand and rushed her over to the cell bars.
"What's the matter?" she asked, still sleepy and dazed.
"Our Earth friends are going to break us out," he told her.
She was glad standing next to Luna and Timmy at the cell door.
134
Frankie and Monica quickly ran outside the jail building to the parking lot where the tow truck was parked.
But when they got within twenty-five feet of the truck, Frankie saw two soldiers walking by it. "Hide,"
he cried out.
Frankie and Monica dove into another large bush.
They poked their heads out and looked at the tow truck. They saw the soldiers were gone. They got out of the bush and ran over to the tow truck.
They looked at the tow truck for a few seconds.
"This time, you drive, and I'll connect the hook to the window bars," Frankie told Monica.
Monica nodded in agreement, then quickly climbed up and got inside behind the truck's controls.
Frankie climbed up and got on the rear of the truck. Monica sat in the driver's seat at the controls inside the tow truck. She looked clueless while she glanced at the fancy controls.
Monica started pressing buttons on the console.
Nothing happened. Monica got curious and saw a strange-looking iPad on the floorboard. She reached down and picked it up. She looked at it.
"I wonder how you turn this thing on," she said while she looked the strange pad over.
The pad suddenly powered up.
"Cool! Its voice actuated," she said, then thought for a few seconds. "How do you turn the engine on,"
she called out.
A hologram from the console appeared. It showed a toggle type of switch and showed it being flipped on the console.
Monica flipped that toggle switch on the console.
The engine of the tow truck started up with a whirl.
135
She felt the tow truck rise and hover four feet above the ground.
"How do you drive this tow truck?" Monica said into the pad.
The hologram on the pad appeared and showed the joystick on the console and the different movements required to drive the truck.
In that parking lot, the tow truck lunged forward and stopped suddenly.
It lunged forward, then stopped suddenly.
It accelerated forward and performed a 360-degree turn.
It raced backward.
"And you talked about my driving," Frankie called out in a panic from the truck's rear. He grasped onto the boom for dear life while it raced at the wall of the jail building.
The tow truck turned sideways and slammed into the wall causing the wall to crack but not fall.
Slamming into the wall caused the tow truck to bounce off and spin around four times.
Frankie was tossed out of the rear of the tow truck and safely landed in another large bush.
The tow truck stopped suddenly with the boom and hook facing the barred window.
The hook swung around. The tow truck settled.
Frankie got out of the bush and looked at the tow truck by the jail. "She did it! I don't know how, but she did it!" he said and saw Monica while she waved at him from the truck.
Luna's head appeared in the barred window, and they saw the tow truck by the window.
Frankie ran over and climbed back up on the rear of the tow truck. He grabbed the hook and moved it closer to Luna's hands that stuck out the barred window.
136
Luna stretched his arms out and reached and grabbed the hook with his right hand. He connected it to the bars and motioned to Frankie to move the truck away. "Move out," Frankie called out to Monica.
The tow truck lunged forward ten feet.
The barred window and a massive wall section came crashing down with a giant cloud of silver dust.
The dust dissipated, and Sona, Luna, and Timmy jumped from the hole to the ground.
They bolted over to the tow truck.
Frankie disconnected the hook from the barred window.
He climbed off the truck's rear and headed to the passenger door.
Luna, Sona, and Timmy got inside the truck with Luna at the controls.
Sona sat to Luna's right, Timmy sat to Sona's right with Monica on his lap, and Frankie sat to Timmy's right.
Timmy had an urge to give Monica a hug but refrained.
Luna flew the tow truck away six feet off the ground.
Back at the guard gate, the Surfers stood by the guard shack.
They watched while two soldiers approached the gate down Meena Parkway.
The two soldiers stopped at the gate.
"We're going out for a night on the town," one of the soldiers told the Surfers.
The Surfers looked at the two soldiers who were waiting for a response.
Lon sensed that a response was required. "Good.
Stay out as late as you want. General Meena's orders,"
he replied.
137
The two soldiers' eyes lit up with joy as they had never had a guard respond with that order.
They took off running away past the gate and went down King Tona Parkway looking forward to a long night of fun.
The Surfers watched the two soldiers, then looked around and saw nobody else was in sight.
"How much longer will we play this stupid Army game?" Saul asked.
"I hate this uniform!" said Bingo.
"You got that right!" said Lorge in agreement.
"The heck with that mean, Sergeant. We really need to get back and help Frankie and Monica," Lon responded.
Saul, Bingo, and Lorge all nodded in agreement.
They quickly removed those uniforms and dumped them inside the guard shack.
They ran back into the base down Meena Parkway.
Inside that tow truck, Luna drove it down Meena Parkway. They saw the Surfers running down the avenue straight at them from the truck's windshield.
Monica's eyes lit up. "There's Lon, Saul, Lorge, and Bingo," he cried out while he pointed at the windshield.
Luna stopped the truck and stuck his head out his window.
The Surfers saw Luna's head out the window and smiled.
"You made it!" said Lon from outside the truck.
"Hurry up and get inside," Luna told them.
The Surfers ran over, climbed up, and got in the pickup's rear.
"Let's get out of this dump," Lon said while he poked his head through the rear cab window of the tow truck.
Luna drove the tow truck toward the front gate.
138
The guard gate was unoccupied while the tow truck raced through the gate and headed down King Tona Parkway.
Meena, Boe, Burpy, and Dopey walked down War Avenue in another section of the Army base.
"Soon I'll be King, and this whole universe will be mine, all mine," Meena reminded them with a greedy look while he stared up at the sky.
An air raid type of sirens blared all over the base.
Meena stopped dead in his tracks, overhearing them.
Boe bumped into him, Burpy bumped into Boe, and Dopey bumped into Burpy. Meena pushed Boe off him, which caused Boe, Burpy, and Dopey to fall to the ground.
Meena looked around, worried, while those sirens blared. "This doesn't sound good," said Meena.
He hurriedly rushed away down the avenue.
Boe, Burpy, and Dopey all got up and ran after Meena.
Luna drove down King Tona Avenue from the base inside the tow truck.
"Oh, Luna, we got bad news. They're now saying your father's being held prisoner on Earth," said Lon while he poked his head through the cab's rear window.
Luna thought about it, then got furious. "Just another Meena fib! But I wonder what really happened to father?" Luna wondered.
"I don't know. We tried to contact him on the Holophone but got nothing but static," Bingo told him.
Luna looked upset as he pondered the situation.
While the tow truck raced down King Tona Parkway, it passed by Would, Doona, Gorga, Alba, Sallo, and Rillo, from the antique spacecraft show.
They walked wearing their underwear that had
"Property of General Meena" markings all over them.
139
The six soldiers looked worried about how they would explain losing their uniforms at an antique spaceship show. Luna continued to drive inside the tow truck and then got a brave look on his face. "I'm alone on this one. It's now up to me to stop Meena!" said Luna.
"No. It's up to all of us!" Timmy told Luna.
Frankie and Monica nodded in agreement.
Sona proudly smiled while she rested her head on Luna's shoulder.
Luna drove the tow truck to the edge of the woods.
He parked the tow truck and turned off the engine, where it whined down to a whisper. They jumped out of the truck and ran into the woods.
After a few minutes, they were all on the four sky boards and surfed up high into the sky.
Sona and Luna were crowded on the back of Lorge's board.
Timmy was on the back of Lon's board.
Frankie was on the back of Saul's board.
Monica was on the back of Bingo's board, and this time she had one opened and one eye closed.
Back at the base, Boe, Burpy, Dopey, and two soldiers stood at the back of the jail building with Meena. They stared at the hole in the wall from the cell that held Luna, Sona, and Timmy.
Meena was red-faced furious! "I want twenty guards at my residence and Squad Chucky on standby,"
Meena barked. He looked around and pondered his next move.
Sergeant Carto walked over from the corner of the building. He saw Meena and rushed over, concerned.
140
"Sir, I heard the sirens. What happened?"
Sergeant Carto asked and was ready to receive his orders.
Meena pointed to the hole in the jail wall. "That's what happened! My prisoners escaped!" Meena yelled out. Then it dawned on Meena. "I thought I had you guarding the front gate?"
"Ah…I was. But I ordered four privates to guard it," Sergeant Carto replied and was nervous and shook a little with the fear of General Meena.
Meena noticed a mountain in the foreground, and something about that sight got him suspicious. His eyes lit up when he remembered. "Surfers, that's who those four soldiers were, Surfers! Binoculars!" yelled out Meena.
A soldier removed a small pair of binoculars off his belt and handed it to Meena.
Meena looked and saw that mountain through the binoculars. He saw Luna, Sona, the Surfers, and the Space Dreamers sky surfing to the top of that mountain.
Meena gave the soldier his binoculars back to that soldier.
"Did those four privates have blue, orange, pink, and green hair?" Meena asked while he glared at the Sergeant with fire in his eyes.
Sergeant Carto thought for a few seconds. "Yes, sir." "You dummy. They helped our prisoners escape,"
Meena yelled and ripped off the stripes off Sergeant Carto's uniform.
"You're now confined to working in the base kitchen," Meena ordered.
"Yes, sir," Sergeant Carto replied with a salute and moped away, and he fought back from crying over being demoted.
141
Meena looked at the other soldiers. "Have Major Buna of Squad Ducky call me immediately!" Meena ordered.
Meena stormed off.
Boe, Burpy, who burped, and Dopey saluted, then ran after him.
Back on Earth in Florida, the search was still in progress in the southern area of the space center. But the sun was starting to sink below the horizon. The Commander of the Search and Rescue was about to call it off for the night.
142
Back on the planet of Neila, numerous Neilas walked up to a newsstand. At the same time, it emitted a hologram newspaper with "Prince Luna And Earth Aliens Sabotage the Army Base. General Meena Calls For Prince Luna's Immediate Arrest!" headlines.
"And to think he was going to be our next King.
We're lucky he's not!" said a male Neila.
"Why is King Tona allowing Luna to run amuck?"
a female Neila asked.
All the surrounding Neilas shook their heads in disbelief over this news.
Way off in outer space near that black hole by Saturn, the Earth probe with attached Neila probe had recently flown over the rings of Saturn.
The probes turned and flew in the direction of that black hole.
Back on Neila, the Surfers with Luna, Sona, Timmy, Frankie, and Monica skyboard surfed up to the mountain ledge. They landed near the hut and hopped off their boards. The Surfers grabbed their skyboards, ran, and stored them inside the hut.
Sona gave Luna a huge hug and a little kiss on his lips Timmy looked at Monica and wondered if he should give her a hug. He walked over to her. "Thanks for rescuing me," he said, then smiled and hugged her.
While he hugged her, he wondered if he should give her a kiss. He chose not to take that chance.
143
Monica smiled with Timmy's arms around her as she hoped he would hug her.
After Timmy and Monica broke away from their hug, Frankie looked at Timmy. "Ah, I also helped."
"Of course," Timmy said, then walked over and shook Frankie's hand.
"How can we stop Meena?" Luna said.
Everybody thought for a few seconds, then Frankie's eyes lit up with an idea.
"I know. The law!" said Frankie, all excited.
Everybody looked at Frankie, wondering what that meant, and he could sense they weren't following him. "My grandmother always watched Mack Fork lock on TV. He used the law to help people out of trouble,"
Frankie responded.
Luna paced, pondering Frankie's idea. He stopped. "You know, that just might work, but the law library is closed," Luna told everybody.
Lon got an idea. "We'll take care of that," Lon offered.
"How?" Luna asked.
"We have a friend that works in the library," Lon replied.
"Yeah, Sweetie. She's a cool sky surfer," Bingo said with a gleam in his eyes, as he liked Sweetie but was too afraid to ask her out on a date.
"Great. Go tell her we need a book called "Neila Law,"" Luna told them.
Bingo, Saul, and Lorge all nodded in agreement.
They rushed over to the hut and went inside.
They soon came out of the hut with their sky boards in hand.
The three ran over to the ledge, jumped on their boards, and sky surfed away over the ledge.
144
Timmy, Frankie, and Monica went into the hut and found some cloth to wipe off the green coloring from their faces.
Back down on Earth in Florida, the Watson, Blake, and Hernandez families sat by their cell phones, worried about their kids and fearful of that dreaded call. Back on Neila, Lorge, Saul, and Bingo landed their sky boards behind the four-story apartment building.
They rested their boards against the rear wall of the building and rushed into the rear entrance.
Once they got inside, they rushed to a door with a
"Sky Surfer Sweetie" nameplate.
Saul knocked on the door.
A few seconds passed, and the door opened, and Sweetie appeared wearing baggy shorts and a tee shirt with pictures of skyboards. Her eyes lit up the second she saw the Surfers. "Bingo, what brings you to my place?" she said with a gleam in her eyes. She overlooked the other Surfers.
"We need a favor, Sweetie," said Bingo with a gleam in his eyes.
"I'm here to help you," Sweetie replied and only kept her eyes on Bingo.
"We need the book on Neila law," Bingo said.
"Why?"
"Prince Luna needs it, and it's a matter of life and death," Saul said and looked serious.
"I thought he was captured by the Earthlings,"
Sweetie said and looked concerned.
"That's one of General Meena's lies. We can't tell you everything right now, but trust me. Prince Luna's in grave danger," Bingo told Sweetie.
"That will cost you," Sweetie said while she looked at him with sparkles in her eyes.
"What's that?" Bingo asked.
145
"A date where you can tell me everything,"
Sweetie replied with love in her eyes.
Bingo looked at Sweetie and looked nervous.
A little while later, up on the mountain ledge, Sona sat against the hut next to Luna.
Timmy sat next to Monica by the hut.
Frankie and Luna stood near the ledge, looking out at Neilaville below.
The whirl of two spaceship engines was heard.
Everybody's eyes widened with fear while they looked at the ledge.
"I don't like the sound of this," Lon said, scanning the area for the location of those spaceship engines.
Two fighter spaceships, Neila 4 and 5, suddenly flew up from below the ledge and hovered with big laser guns aimed at everybody.
They all jumped up in a panic.
Luna quickly shielded Sona from the fighter spaceships.
Timmy also shielded Monica from the fighter spaceships.
Lon and Frankie were frozen with fear as those two fighter spaceships were ten feet away from their faces.
"Run!" Luna yelled. He grabbed Sona's hand and ran to the trail.
Timmy grabbed Monica's hand and ran after Luna and Sona.
Lon and Frankie turned around and ran after Timmy and Monica.
Red laser beams were fired from the two spaceships.
The hut exploded into a massive fireball.
Luna, Sona, Timmy, Monica, Lon, and Frankie ran down the mountain trail, fearful for their lives.
Laser beams exploded in the dirt at their heels.
146
Additional laser beams were fired, and trees exploded into a fireball behind them.
They ran down the trail, looking over their shoulders and seeing those spaceships hot on their tails twenty feet up in the air.
Laser beams fired from the spaceships.
The trail ten feet behind them exploded and sent them flying forty feet into the air.
They all dropped into a bunch of vegetation, covering a huge hole in the ground.
They fell into the hole, which was the opening of an underground cave.
The underground cave had long vines that hung down from the ceiling and on the side of the walls.
A small river with green water and sandy banks on both sides was just below the thirty-foot drop from the opening.
Crashed on one sandy bank was the Jeep Frankie and Monica stole.
Luna, Sona, Timmy, Monica, Frankie, and Lon splashed into the green river.
Back up in the air above the hole, the two fighter spaceships, Neila 4 and 5, circled around and fired numerous laser beams in the general area where everybody dropped. A massive fire started near that hole. The spaceships circled around the fiery entrance to the cave. They figured they had fallen into the dark abyss in the planet's center and would never be seen again.
Inside Neila 4, the pilot Tooma made a call to the Army base.
"General Meena, this is Neila four," Tooma said at his console.
A hologram of Meena appeared from his console.
"Status report," Meena's hologram said.
147
"Yes, sir, our Earth creatures and the criminals that assisted them are no longer a threat. I repeat.
They are no longer a threat to our planet," Tooma said and looked proud.
Meena's hologram had a huge grin, and he could see he had the crown in his hand.
"Good job Neila four and five. Report back to base," Meena's hologram said.
The two fighter spaceships flew away from the top of the mountain and zoomed back to the base.
Back down in the cave, Lon, Luna, Sona, Timmy, and Frankie all swam to the sandy beach not far from the crashed Jeep.
The fire was visible at the cave hole entrance above them. The fire and light from the sky provided visibility in the cave.
"I can't swim!" Monica cried out for seconds while she frantically splashed into the water. She sank under the water.
"Monica!" Timmy screamed out, which echoed in the cave. He dove back into the water and swam to where Monica sank.
Under the water, Timmy looked around for Monica.
He saw her while she floated face down to the bottom of the river. Timmy swam down after her.
He wrapped his left arm around her waist and swam her back to the river's surface.
When Timmy broke the surface of the water, Frankie was there treading water.
Frankie helped Timmy swim Monica over to the beach.
Monica coughed up green water and was alive when they arrived at the sand. She immediately coughed up more green water.
148
"I hope this is clean and safe water," Timmy asked Luna, concerned for Monica.
"Don't worry. It's immaculate as we don't pollute our waters like you Earthlings," Luna replied.
Timmy and Frankie looked ashamed of his comment. Timmy glanced at Monica.
"I need to teach you how to swim," Timmy told her. Monica looked fearful of going back into the water.
"That wasn't too bad. In fact, it was exciting and adventurous. Like being in a Duke Spacewalker movie!" said Frankie looking up at the hole in the cave's ceiling.
Timmy nodded in agreement while he glanced at Monica, who was relieved she did not drown.
A little later that day, Lorge, Saul, and Bingo surfed up to the mountain ledge with Bingo and that
"Neila Law" book tucked under his right arm.
Their eyes widened in shock seeing their hut was a smoldering pile of ashes.
They landed and jumped off their skyboards, and scanned the area over.
"Where are they?" asked Saul with a look that feared the worse had happened.
The other Surfers shrugged their shoulders, indicating they did not have a clue.
Lorge saw that the trail was burnt with smoldering vegetation.
"Looks like they ran down the trail," he suggested.
They all hopped on their sky boards, and the sky surfed off above the trail.
The Surfers surfed farther above the trail and saw more burnt and smoldering vegetation around a hole in the ground.
149
Then the vegetation along the trail looked fresh just past that hole.
The Surfers sky boards above the trail and looked around that hole.
Lorge's eyes lit up with a possibility. "Maybe Luna went down our secret escape path?" he said to everybody.
Bingo looked at the ring of smoldering vegetation by the hole in the ground. "I believe you're onto something," he said.
The Surfers surfed down toward that hole in the ground.
A campfire was burning on the bank at the bottom of that cave. Luna found some lighters inside the Jeep and some other material for burning. Plus, they gathered up wood and vines for firewood.
Lon, Luna, Sona, and Frankie sat on the bank and stared at the flowing green river.
In the river, Timmy and Monica swam close to the beach.
"That's it. You now a swimmer," Timmy said to Monica, looking proud of her while she doggie paddled in the water.
Timmy and Monica swam back to the beach.
"Good job, Monica," Frankie cheered while Timmy and Monica walked out of the water and sat down in the sand.
Lon, Luna, and Sona did the standard Neila seal-sounding cheer while they clapped hands.
Lorge, Saul, and Bingo surfed down with Bingo and that Neila law book tucked under his right arm.
"Luna!" yelled Lorge from up above when they saw him in the river.
Everybody looked up and saw the other three Surfers surfing down from the top of the cave.
150
They all got excited while they watched the three Surfers land on the sandy bank. The three Surfers jumped off their sky boards, which hovered inches above the sand.
Everybody rushed over to them.
"What happened up there?" Lorge asked.
"Meena figured out we were up there on the mountain ledge and sent two fighters out to get rid of us," Luna replied.
"He destroyed our home," Saul cried and fought back his tears.
"We know. Those spaceships almost barbequed us with their laser beams," Frankie said with fear in his eyes, recalling the incident.
"That's more the reason to put Meena in his place," Lorge added.
Everybody nodded in agreement.
"How can we do that?" Monica asked.
Bingo remembered the book tucked under his right arm. "Here, Luna. My friend Sweetie pulled through," he said, then handed Luna the Neila Law book. "Yeah, and Bingo also has a date with her," Saul said, then blew kisses into the air.
Bingo turned a little red but could not wait to date, Sweetie.
"It's about time," Luna replied while he took the book from Bingo and sat down by the campfire.
"There has to be an answer in here somewhere,"
Luna said while he opened the book.
Everybody else relaxed around the campfire while Luna's head was buried in the law book.
Back on Earth in Florida, the sun started to peek above the horizon for the start of another hot morning.
151
All the volunteers appeared at the Command Center again, ready to scour the woods for signs of Timmy, Frankie, and Monica. But today might be a short day as thunderstorms were coming across from the state's western side.
152
It was now nighttime back on the planet Neila.
Down below in the cave, Luna sat around the campfire reading the “Neila Law” book. Timmy, Frankie, Monica, Sona, Lon, Lorge, Saul, and Bingo slept on the beach.
Luna’s eyes lit up when he read something interesting on a page of that law book.
“I got it. I got it!” he cried out, jumping up.
That woke everybody up, and they all curiously rushed to Luna’s side.
“Okay, here’s what the law states. If the first heir to the crown, meaning me, was illegally detained from being present at the initial ceremony, then the second heir, meaning Meena, is not entitled to take possession of the crown. But the first heir must physically present the crown and evidence that he was illegally detained to the Governing Council before the final ceremony.
Then the first heir will be crowned King,” Luna read from the book.
All the Space Dreamers and the Surfers looked confused.
“Ah, I don’t know what that means,” Timmy said.
“Yeah, I’m also clueless,” said Lon.
“Me too,” Bingo added.
“It means we get the crown away from Meena.
Then tell the Governing Council that Meena had me shot down on Earth before the final ceremony. I can 153
become King,” Luna told the Space Dreamers and Surfers.
“Oh,” they all replied as it finally made sense.
“But, they may not believe you,” Monica said.
“That’s exactly why I wanted you, Earthling, to come along. The Governing Council will believe me the second they see you,” he told the Space Dreamers.
The Space Dreamers looked at each other and felt important. Space heroes are essential!
“But I wonder where Meena hid the crown?”
Luna said while he paced around the campfire.
Sona’s eyes widened. “Wait! While locked in that room, I overheard one of the guards poking fun at another guard. It was about Meena hiding something in his underwear drawer,” Sona told Luna.
Luna thought about the information she had provided. His eyes lit up. “That sounds like his style!”
he said and thought for a second. His eyes widened.
“We have no choice but to sneak back into the base and get that crown,” Luna told everybody.
The Surfers and the Space Dreamers thought about Luna’s comment.
“But, how do we get out of here without being noticed?” Timmy asked while he looked around the cave.
Frankie looked up at the hole at the top of the cave. “They might still be up there looking for us,” he said, pointing up at the top of the cave where the hole was visible.
“This river leads back into the city,” Lon told him.
“Can we all fit on your sky boards?” Timmy questioned.
“No problem. We can sneak back into town and borrow some more from the surf shop,” Saul responded.
154
Luna looked around the cave and got an idea. “I think I know how we can get the crown. But we need something sharp,” Luna told everybody.
The Surfer’s reached in their pockets and pulled out pocket knives. “Good, now here’s my plan,” said Luna while he motioned everybody over into a huddle.
He drew a house in the dirt with his finger.
“We fly up to the roof, then we,” Luna said, starting his briefing.
A little while later, the Space Dreamers watched while Bingo, Sona, and Luna got on the sky boards and hovered up at the top of the cave. They all cut down numerous vines with their pocket knives.
After the vines dropped into the sand, Timmy, Frankie, Monica, Saul, and Lon coiled up the vines.
Back on Earth in Florida, a nasty thunderstorm came from the western part of the state and halted the search effort in the southern area of the space center.
Back on Neila down in that cave, Luna, Sona, and Bingo were done cutting down vines, so they air surfed back down to the sandy beach.
After they landed, Luna, Sona, and Bingo hopped off their sky boards and headed over to where everybody had eight vines coiled up.
“Okay, is everybody ready?” Luna asked while he placed a coiled-up vine around his shoulder.
“I’m ready,” said Timmy.
“Me too,” added Frankie.
Monica nodded in agreement along with the Surfers.
“Okay, let’s move out,” Luna said, then walked into the river.
“We’ll meet you where the river comes out of the cave at the base of the mountain,” Lon told Luna.
Bingo, Saul, and Lorge all placed coiled vines around their shoulders. They ran over and jumped on 155
their skyboards. They ascended up in the air, and sky surfed down the river toward the cave opening in town.
Sona, Timmy, Frankie, and Lon each grabbed a coiled vine and placed it around her shoulders.
They followed Luna into the green river.
It was dark and quiet while Luna, Sona, Lon, and the Space Dreamers swam down the river.
In outer space, the Earth probe with the attached Neila probe flew out of the black hole near the planet Deserta.
Twenty minutes later, Luna, Sona, Lon, and the Space Dreamers swam out of the cave opening with the coiled vines at the mountain’s base. They swam to the bank and got out of the water.
Way down the river, they could see the lighted hovering docks of Neilaville. The dock was void of any ships.
They waited on the bank in the darkness.
Ten minutes later, Saul, Lorge, and Bingo sky surfed down from the sky. Lorge and Saul each had extra sky boards under their arms. They landed on the bank near Luna, Sona, Timmy, Lon, Monica, and Frankie.
“Here’s some extra sky boards,” said Lon while the Surfers jumped off their sky boards.
Lorge handed Luna a sky board, Saul handed Sona a sky board, and Bingo handed Lon a sky board.
Lorge looked bothered. “Bad news, Luna!” said Lorge while he removed a small device called HoloNews and pressed a button.
A hologram newspaper emitted from the HoloNews device with “Prince Luna Dead In Mountain Explosion Along With Earth Creatures –
General Meena Grieves And Calls For Immediate War With Earth!” headlines.
156
Luna, Sona, and the Space Dreamers all looked at the headlines from the hologram newspaper.
“More lies from Meena,” Luna said, clenching his fists. “We need one of those things back on Earth,”
Timmy said.
“You’re right,” Frankie said.
“That would be cool!” Monica added.
“Does everybody remember their assignments?”
Luna asked.
Everybody nodded in agreement.
“Good. We better hurry and get my crown and give Meena some major grief,” Luna said, hopping on his hovering sky board.
Sona hopped on her hovering board with her coiled vine around her shoulder.
Lon, Lorge, Saul, and Bingo hopped on their hovering boards with their coiled vines around their shoulders.
With his coiled vine around his shoulder, Timmy hopped on Luna’s board behind Luna.
With his coiled vine around his shoulder, Monica hopped on Sona’s board behind Sona.
Frankie hopped on Bingo’s board behind Bingo with his coiled vine around his shoulder.
Luna, Sona, and the Surfers sky surfed away and rose high up in the sky. For once, all the Space Dreamers were brave and determined.
They sky surfed high above Neilaville, which was quiet since everybody was sound asleep.
Back on Earth in Florida, the Watson, Blake, and Hernandez families sat in their living rooms and heard the booming thunder from the storm that hit the east coast. They were scared their kids might be gone forever.
157
Back on Neila, Luna, Sona, and the Surfers soared in the sky on their skyboard and headed toward the Army base.
They sky surfed high over the Army base, and it appeared quiet down below except for the two searchlights that searched the base from two high towers.
Luna, Sona, Lon, Saul, Lorge, and Bingo surfed down to the base.
The Surfers broke off and surfed down toward the flight line.
Luna and Sona broke off and surfed toward a cluster of buildings in the center of the base.
At the flight line, the Surfers surfed out of the night sky and landed behind a large hangar. The Surfers and Frankie hopped off their sky boards and leaned them up against the wall of the building.
“Okay, things look quiet around here,” Lon said while he looked around, and no soldiers were seen.
They all snuck over to the left side of the hangar.
They all snuck down the left side of the hangar.
When they got to the corner, Lon peeked around and saw that the flight line was free of soldiers. They spotted the eight fighter spaceships Neila 4 through 13
parked on the flight line.
“The coast is clear,” Lon told everybody.
They ran off toward the flight line with the coiled vines to eight fighter spaceships.
Lon got to the first fighter – Neila 4. He tied one of the vines to one of the landing struts. Then he ran over to Neila 5 and tied the other end of the vine to one of the landing struts.
Lorge ran over to Neila 6 and tied the other end of the vine to one of the landing struts. Then he ran over to Neila 7 and tied the other end of the vine to one of the landing struts.
158
Saul ran over to Neila 8. He tied one end of his vine to one of the landing struts. Then he ran over to Neila 9 and tied the other end of the vine to one of the landing struts.
Bingo ran over to Neila 10 and tied one end of his vine to one of the landing struts. Then he ran over to Neila 11 and tied the other end of the vine to one of the landing struts.
Frankie ran over to Neila 12 and tied one end of his vine to one of the landing struts. Then he ran over to Neila 13 and tied the other end of the vine to one of the landing struts.
The Surfers and Frankie ran back to the left side of the hangar.
Meanwhile, up in the sky over the office buildings of the base, Luna, and Sona, with Timmy and Monica, sky surfed and quietly landed on the flat roof of Meena’s residence.
The guards around the building below did not know the four had landed on the roof.
Luna, Sona, Timmy, and Monica hopped off their sky boards, and the boards hovered inches above the roof. Luna looked around the roof for a way inside Meena’s residence. He noticed a big round horizontal opening for an air shaft. He pointed to it, and they nodded; they understood.
Luna and Sona held onto their coiled vines that hung from their shoulders while they quietly walked over to that round opening.
They looked inside and saw a big three-bladed fan rotating slowly. This fan sucked in the outside air for ventilation inside Meena’s residence.
Timmy and Monica looked apprehensive about their next move.
159
“Will that cut us in half?” Monica asked very nervously.
“Smaller pieces if it hits you just right,” Luna answered quietly.
Timmy and Monica swallowed hard and shook a little, afraid of those blades.
Luna took a breath of courage and watched the blades while they rotated. He saw his opportunity, ran into the opening, and safely passed the rotating blades.
He stopped behind the blades.
“Okay, Sona, I know you can do it,” he called out.
Outside the opening, Sona took a couple of deep breaths and watched the blades. She saw her opportunity and ran inside. She safely slipped past the blades.
She stood by Luna’s side.
“Okay, Timmy and Monica. It’s your turn,” Luna called out from the other side of the blades.
Timmy and Monica looked at each other and wondered who would be brave and go next.
Timmy took a deep breath and watched the rotating blades. He saw his opportunity and raced inside the opening. He through an opening in the blades. His eyes widened when the blades whooshed past the backside of his jeans. He made it and was so proud alongside Luna and Sona.
Monica got a little nervous when she realized she was next. She looked at the rotating blades. She decided to get brave again, and when the opportunity arrived, she closed his eyes and raced into the opening.
She safely passed the blades but bumped into Luna, and they both tumbled to the floor.
Timmy got jealous seeing Monica on top of Luna.
She got off of him, and her face turned red.
“Okay, we need to head down this shaft,” Luna told them while he got back on his feet.
160
They looked down the shaft and saw that the opening tapered to a significant HVAC type of duct.
“Timmy, that blade almost ate the rear end of your pants,” Monica said.
Luna and Sona looked at the backside of Timmy’s pants.
“Looks fine to me,” Luna said.
“One of those blades ate one of Timmy’s back pants pockets,” Monica said.
Timmy felt the back of his pants. He felt his right rear pocket was there. He felt his left side. That pocket was gone. “That was a close call!”
“It was. We better continue,” Luna said and got on his hands and knees and crawled into the duct.
Everybody else followed on their hands and knees.
161
Back on Earth in Florida, the sun rose to start another hot and humid morning.
Over at the Command Center, all the volunteers returned. They continued their search of the woods in the southern area of the space center.
But the Commander was starting to have his doubts that they would find the kids alive.
Back in Neila, inside that HVAC duct, Luna, Sona, Timmy, and Monica, with the coiled vines, crawled quietly down the duct.
Luna stopped near a big round return air grill. He peeked in the grill and saw it was in the ceiling of Meena’s bedroom. He saw Meena asleep in his bed, cuddling the crown like a teddy bear.
He could see Boe, Burpy, and Dopey sleeping in chairs on the other side of the room, snoring with a strange sound.
“Boe, Burpy, and Dopey are asleep in chairs.
Meena is asleep in his bed and his arms around the crown,” Luna quietly told everybody.
“You’re on, Monica,” Luna quietly told her.
“Are you up to this?” Timmy quietly asked Monica.
Monica looked at the grill and then back at Timmy. She nodded that she was okay.
Luna removed the coiled vines off his shoulders.
He tied the three vines around Monica’s middle section like a harness.
162
Inside Meena’s bedroom, the return air grill was quietly removed.
Monica was horizontal while she was slowly lowered down to Meena by the vines.
Inside the HVAC duct, Luna, Sona, and Timmy held onto a vine to prevent Monica from dropping onto Meena.
In his bedroom, Meena snored a strange sound while Monica was stopped two feet above him and the crown.
Monica got her hands inches from the crown when Meena snorted and turned to his other side, bringing the crown with him.
Monica tried to reach out for the crown, but her fingers came up two inches short.
Luna and everybody carefully lowered Monica down another three inches. She reached out and grabbed the top of the crown with two fingers on her left hand.
Monica was slowly lifted upward by Luna, Sona, and Timmy from up inside the HVAC duct.
Monica’s eyes widened with fear when she saw Meena’s hand rising along with the crown.
Monica was lifted up another foot when Meena’s hand fell off the crown.
His hand fell down, and he slapped himself on his face. Meena quickly woke up and noticed his crown was missing from his hands. He jumped up, stood on his bed in a panic, and looked around for the crown.
Then something didn’t feel right. He looked up and saw Monica lifted up by the vines into the return air grill with the crown in her hand.
“That Earthling’s stealing my crown!” Meena yelled out at pointed up at Monica.
Monica’s eyes widened with fear when Meena reached up and grabbed her right hand.
163
“Ahhhhh!” Monica screamed out in her best high pitch scream.
Her screams scared Meena, as this was nothing he had ever heard in his life.
Inside the HVAC duct, Luna, Sona, and Timmy quickly pulled up on the vines as quickly as they could.
Monica was almost inside the HVAC duct when a loud crack sound was heard. Everybody froze while the cracking sound got louder.
Back on his bed, Meena still looked fearful of Monica while she was raised back into the HVAC duct.
His eyes widened with anger when he remembered she had his crown.
Part of the ceiling came crashing down.
Luna, Sona, Timmy, and Monica slammed down on Meena and his bed with ceiling debris and dust.
Boe, Burpy, and Dopey panicked out of their chairs. They looked around in a daze. Their eyes widened when they saw the pile of Luna, Sona, Timmy, and Monica on top of Meena on his bed with ceiling debris.
Boe, Burpy, and Dopey ran over to them but suddenly bumped into each other and slammed to the floor.
Luna quickly grabbed the crown from Monica, who cuddled it like a fumbled football.
Sona, Monica, and Timmy quickly jumped off Meena and his bed.
They all ran to the door.
Luna opened up the door, and everybody raced into the hallway.
Meena lay on his bed surrounded by pieces of the ceiling in a daze, not knowing what hit him.
Luna, Sona, Timmy, and Monica ran down the hallway, knocking down a sleepy guard and running over his body.
164
The guard started to get up but was suddenly knocked down by Boe, Burpy, and Dopey. The four tumbled to the floor.
Meena stood in the doorway of his bedroom with ceiling debris dust all over his PJs. His face turned bed red, noticing the four on the floor. “Get them!” he screamed, and it echoed in the hallway.
The guard, Boe, Burpy, and Dopey, jumped up to their feet and ran down the hallway.
Outside Meena’s residence, two guards dozed off while guarding both sides of Meena’s front door.
The front door slammed open, which startled the guards. Luna, Sona, Timmy, and Monica raced out the door.
The door slammed closed.
The guards quickly removed their laser pistols and aimed them at the escapees. The door slammed open again, which startled the guards, and they fired their laser pistols in the air.
Boe, Burpy, Dopey, Meena, and that other guard stood watching Luna with the crown; Timmy and Monica race off down the street.
“Don’t stand there; get them!” Meena screamed out. Boe, Burpy, and Dopey ran off after them.
“You stay here and guard my place,” Meena told the guards, then he ran off after the four goofs.
Three minutes later, with the crown, Sona, Timmy, and Monica, Luna ran down Flight Line Avenue toward a giant hangar in the foreground. They turned around and saw Boe, Burpy, and Dopey running after them with their laser pistols. They were gaining ground on Luna and everybody.
Meena ran a good way back since his stubby legs gave him the curse of being a super slow runner.
165
Lon, Saul, Bingo, and Lorge, with Frankie on the back of his sky board, sky surfed up in the sky.
Lon looked down below and saw Boe, Burpy, and Dopey firing their laser pistols at Luna, Sona, Monica, and Timmy. The red laser beams were putting holes in the ground inches from the heels of their running friends.
“Attack time Saul and Bingo!” Lon yelled out.
Lon, Saul, and Bingo dove their sky boards down at Boe, Burpy, and Dopey like fighter jets attacking ground targets.
Boe, Burpy, and Dopey fired their laser pistols at Luna, Sona, Timmy, and Monica. The laser beams missed them by inches.
“You idiots!” Meena yelled out while he ran as fast as his short stubby legs could carry him.
Lon, Saul, and Bingo banged Boe, Burpy, and Dopey on their heads with the back ends of their sky boards.
Boe, Burpy, and Dopey tumbled to the ground and passed out.
The Surfers looked proud of their achievement, then they made sharp upward turns and accidentally slammed into each other.
They fell off their skyboards, slammed to the ground, and were knocked out cold. Their skyboards dropped to the ground, stopped inches above it, and then hovered.
With Frankie on board, Lorge surfed down after Meena, who turned around and fired his laser pistol.
Lorge made an evasive maneuver, and the red laser beam missed Lorge by inches. But that caused Lorge to fall off his skyboard. He fell and slammed into the ground and was knocked out cold. His sky board stopped inches above the ground and hovered with Frankie on the board, stunned.
166
Monica turned around and saw Lon, Saul, Lorge, and Bingo pass out on the ground while their sky boards hovered inches above them.
She noticed Meena running after them with his laser pistol, ready to fire. She suddenly got a massive brave streak and ran over to Bingo’s hovering skyboard.
Timmy turned around and saw Monica hopping on Bingo’s skyboard, and he got concerned. “Monica, get back here!” he yelled, looking concerned.
“Don’t worry about me!” Monica responded while she took off into the sky on the skyboard with a brave look on her face.
Meena ran after Luna and Sona, unaware that Monica was on Bingo’s skyboard. Coming after him.
Suddenly, Monica’s skyboard swooped down from the sky and banged Meena on the back of his head with the tip of her skyboard. Meena dropped to the ground, out cold.
Monica sky surfed back up in the air. “Yahoooo!”
yelled out Monica during a loop-d-loop.
Timmy watched in awe while Monica performed that loop-d-loop.
Timmy saw Luna and Sona were not in sight.
Timmy ran over Lorge’s hovering sky boards. He immediately hopped on and was soon airborne.
Timmy and Monica sky surfed over to the flight line. “I want one of these!” Timmy cried out in joy, loving the thrill of this type of flying.
“Me too!” Monica cried out while they flew to the flight line.
A big hangar door opened at the flight line by a hanger.
With Sona by his side, Luna drove a hovering tug and towed the Neila 14 fighter spaceship out of the hangar.
167
Timmy and Monica flew overhead, and they saw Luna and Sona on the tug towing Neila 14 away from the opened hanger.
Timmy and Monica flew their skyboards down to the flight line.
They landed close to Neila 14 when Luna stopped the tug.
“Are we all here?” Luna asked while he and Sona got out of the tug.
“We’re missing Frankie,” Timmy replied and looked worried.
Luna, Sona, Timmy, and Monica scanned the area and saw Frankie’s head poking around the left corner of the hanger.
Timmy motioned for Frankie to come over to Neila 14 while Luna and Sona disconnected it from the tug. Frankie ran away from the hangar and headed over to them.
“Lon, Lorge, Saul, and Bingo were knocked out,”
Monica said.
Red laser beams fired at them. It missed them, and the beams hit the right side of the hangar with a loud boom. A burning hole in the metal wall was visible.
“We better hit the sky,” Luna said; then he saw Boe, Dopey, and Burpy running at them with Meena again, lagging behind. They all had their laser pistols out and fired more red laser beams in their direction.
Luna, Sona, Timmy, Frankie, and Monica quickly got inside Neila 14. Luna slammed the door shut. The engines of the Neila 14 fighter whirled while they started. The engines whined louder, and Neila 14 rose up and ascended into the night sky.
The air raid sirens blared all over the Army base and flight line.
168
Eight pilots that wore purple flight suits ran out of the barracks fifty feet from the hangar.
The soldiers ran down the flight line placing their helmets on their heads.
They raced over to the eight fighter spaceships.
They each quickly jumped inside their assigned spaceships.
Their engines started up with a whirl. They whined louder.
All eight fighters quickly rose up into the air.
They all took off, and a domino effect immediately occurred while the fighters crashed into each other because of the vines tied to their landing struts. They dropped to the flight line in a pile of crushed metal. Their engines whined down and shut off. The pilots got out of their ships and removed their helmets. They scratched their heads, trying to figure out why they crashed.
Meena, Boe, Burpy, and Dopey ran to the flight line. They all had huge bumps on the back of their heads.
They stopped in their tracks when they saw the pile of crashed fighters.
Meena saw Neila 15 fighter still in the hangar.
“Let’s go!” he yelled at the goofs while he pointed at the hangar.
They all ran over to the hangar.
Back on Earth in Florida, volunteers Jack and Ben searched the woods not too far from Kirk’s place.
Then something caught Jack’s eye, and he looked at a pile of vegetation.
“This looks odd,” Jack told Ben while he walked up to the pile of vegetation.
“Looks man-made,” Ben replied while he checked it out.
169
Jack and Ben started to remove the vegetation and tree branches.
After two minutes of removing most of the vegetation and tree branches, their eyes widened in disbelief then they saw the rear of Neila 1.
“What is that?” Jack asked, then he frantically removed more pieces of vegetation and tree branches.
They both saw the “Neila 1” marking on the spaceship.
“I believe it’s a spaceship,” Ben said while he stared at it in awe.
“Ah, we found something extraordinary out here,”
Jack said into his handheld radio.
“What’s that?” the Commander replied from the radio. “Well, it appears to be an alien spaceship,” Jack said into his radio. At the same time, Ben continued to remove more vegetation and tree branches off of Neila 1. “A what?” the Commander replied from Jack’s radio, sounding like he did not believe them.
“We found what appears to be a spaceship,” Jack said on his radio. “An alien spaceship.”
There was a few seconds of silence. “We’ll be right there,” the Commander said from the radio.
Jack and Ben just stood there in disbelief that they had found an Alien spaceship.
Back up in outer space above Neila, Neila 14
raced up away from the planet with Luna at the controls.
Neila 15 raced up from Neila and headed after Neila 14.
Inside Neila 15, Meena drove while the three goofs sat behind him. Meena saw Neila 14 straight ahead of them.
“Destroy him!” he yelled at the three goofs.
170
Boe, Burpy, and Dopey rushed over and grabbed the weapons control stick. Boe fired a laser beam.
Inside Neila 14, that red laser beam shot past the canopy. Then Boom! The spaceship violently shook, knocking everybody around the inside.
Luna made evasive maneuvers dodging additional Neila 15’s laser beams.
Inside Neila 15, Meena flew the fighter while Boe worked the weapons controls. He did a rapid fire of laser beams at Neila 14, but Luna was excellent at dodging them.
Meena was furious with Boe, Burpy, and Dopey.
“Do you morons need glasses? I said, shoot him down!” he screamed and sprayed them with a little spit.
“I can shoot him down,” Burpy burped out.
“No! I can shoot him down,” Dopey yelled out.
They fought over the weapons control stick.
Meena got frustrated with the three goofs and slapped them across their faces, causing their heads to spin. He took control of the weapons stick.
A “Welcome to Planet Ronrevog – Home Of The Governing Council. Fly Safely” lighted neon sign floated in outer space above planet Ronrevog.
Neila 14 raced past the sign and flew toward the planet Ronrevog.
171
Back on Earth in Florida, the Commander of the search and rescue effort was standing next to Jack and Ben with fifteen deputy sheriffs and ten NASA officials. They all stared in disbelief at an Alien spaceship that crashed on space center property.
“How could NASA miss this crashing on their property?” the Commander asked the high-ranking NASA official standing near him.
That NASA official shrugged his shoulders to indicate he did not have a clue.
Back up in outer space, Planet Ronrevog looked very similar to Neila, with the same type of vegetation, mountains, oceans, and lakes. But Ronrevog had eight differently shaped continents.
Neila 14 flew out of the sky toward a huge Palace that sat on hundreds of stairs. It was the Governing Council Palace, which sat in a beautifully landscaped field surrounded by woods.
The Governing Council was the body of aliens that established rules for all the nearby planets with eight council members. This helped maintain peace for hundreds of years.
All the planets had a representative on the Governing Council. They would enforce the separate laws of all the individual planets.
Neila 14 swooped down and landed in a clearing near the edge of the woods that surrounded the Palace.
They had to land here as landing in the field 172
surrounding the Palace was strictly forbidden without prior approval.
The door opened to Neila 14 opened up.
Luna, Sona, Timmy, Frankie, and Monica rushed out with the crown in hand.
Luna looked around and saw the top of the Governing Council Palace that poked high above the tree lines. They ran off toward the woods.
Neila 15 descended wildly from the sky.
It came down wildly and bounced off the ground in that clearing of those woods.
Neila 15 tumbled twenty feet back up in the air.
It tumbled back down to the ground and crashed.
The engines emitted pink smoke.
The banged-up door creaked open.
Meena stumbled out of Neila 15. Then, Boe, Burpy, and Dopey fell out and landed on top of Meena.
“Get off me!” yelled Meena, who pushed them off his body.
Meena jumped up and saw that Neila 14 had landed thirty feet away. He immediately knew Luna and everybody were racing to the Palace.
“I know a shortcut,” Meena told them.
He ran in another direction of the woods.
Boe, Burpy, and Dopey got up and saw Meena running away toward the woods.
They ran off after him.
Luna, with the crown, Sona, Timmy, Frankie, and Monica ran through the woods.
Timmy, Frankie, and Monica got winded from all the running. They stopped. They bent over and gasped for air.
Luna and Monica noticed and stopped.
“What’s wrong?” Luna asked
“Need air and rest,” Monica said, out of breath.
173
“Meena is coming after us. We can’t slow down,”
Luna called out, scanning the area for his enemy.
Timmy, Frankie, and Monica took off running and ran past Luna and Sona.
Luna and Sona ran after them.
Meena, Boe, Burpy, and Dopey ran thru another section of the woods.
Burpy tripped, stumbled, and knocked Boe down, who knocked Meena down into the dirt.
“Can’t you guys do anything right?” yelled Meena with his face in the dirt.
He looked up and saw the edge of the woods ten feet away. And between some trees, he saw the Governing Council Palace. Luna, Sona, Timmy, Frankie, and Monica were not in sight, and he smiled, knowing he was a step ahead of them.
He pushed the goofs off him and jumped up.
He ran to the edge of the woods in the direction of the Palace.
Boe, Burpy, and Dopey got up and ran after Meena.
Luna, with the crown, Sona, Timmy, Frankie, and Monica ran through the woods.
Then they ran to the edge of the woods and into the field.
They ran across the field to the Palace.
Nobody was in sight, so Luna thought he made it free and clear.
They ran to the hundreds of stairs that led up to the Palace.
When he got to the base of the stairs, they saw two huge landscaped bushes on both sides.
Meena, Boe, Burpy, and Dopey jumped out from behind one of the bushes with laser pistols drawn.
“It’s over, Luna. Hand over the crown, and I’ll go easy on you. Maybe you can be my houseboy for my 174
Queen and me,” said Meena with a smirk while he glanced over at Sona. He aimed his pistol at Sona’s head.
Frankie looked at Meena and then got an idea. He immediately got into a Bruce Lee stance like a fierce karate fighter. He wished his hands all around in the air and kicked his feet.
Meena, Boe, Burpy, and Dopey had their eyes fixed on Frankie’s fancy karate moves, as this was something they had never seen before. They did not notice Luna, Timmy, and Monica slipped away and ran up the stairs.
Frankie gave Meena’s hand a good swift kick, and his laser pistol flew away.
Meena was slightly surprised when he realized his pistol was not in his hand. Then all of a sudden, Frankie gave Meena’s face an excellent swift karate kick.
Meena dropped to the ground, stunned.
There was a moment of silence between Boe, Burpy, and Dopey while they glanced at Meena on the ground.
Sona took off running up the stairs.
Before Boe knew what happened, Frankie gave him a good swift karate kick across his face.
Boe dropped to the ground.
Burpy and Dopey dropped their laser pistols to the ground the second they saw Frankie in his karate stance, ready to pounce on them.
Frankie felt safe, so he took off and ran up the stairs to the Palace.
Inside the Palace, Luna, Sona, Timmy, and Monica ran down a long hallway, huffing and puffing.
They ran down the hallway to the Governing Council’s chamber room.
Luna opened the door.
175
The eight council members worked at a long conference table, making the final arrangements for King Tona’s retirement. Four guards stood alongside the wall behind the members.
Council member 1 had a strange feeling and looked over at the door. He saw Luna, Sona, Timmy, and Monica and didn’t think anything of it. Then it dawned on him.
“Earthlings!” he screamed out and jumped up on the table.
The seven other Council members looked at their colleague like he was whacky.
“Get off that table. You look like a dweeb,” said Council member 4.
“Earthlings!” he screamed out again and pointed at Luna, Sona, Timmy, and Monica while they got closer to their end of the table.
The eyes of the seven other Council members popped out in shock at the sight of Timmy and Monica. They jumped up and joined their colleague.
They all shook in fear.
The guards removed their laser pistols and were about to vaporize Timmy and Monica when Luna rushed up to the Council members. “Don’t fire! It’s okay. They are Earthlings and are very friendly. Trust me!” Luna said in a comforting tone while he used his body to shield Timmy and Monica from being shot with laser beams.
The guards didn’t fire their laser pistols but kept them aimed at Timmy and Monica as a precaution.
The Council members recognized Luna.
“Luna! Where have you been?” Council member 5 asked.
“You missed the initial ceremony,” Council member 8 said.
176
“It wasn’t my fault,” Luna said while he placed the crown on the table.
Frankie ran into the room, and that startled the Council members.
“It’s okay. He’s another friendly Earthling,” Luna said. “Those Earthlings are a colorful creature,”
Council 1 member stated.
“They are my best friends,” Luna added while Frankie ran up to him.
The Council members felt safe around Timmy and Monica, so they got off the table.
They looked at the crown in Luna’s hand.
“General Meena was given the crown. How did you get it?” Council member 6 asked curiously.
“Well, I missed the initial ceremony because General Meena tricked me into flying to Earth.”
“Why?” General member 3 asked.
“I wasn’t ready to be crowned King. So Meena told me that if I flew to Earth and destroyed their rocket, that was sending a probe to our planet. The Governing Council would like grand me a two-year delay on being crowned,” Luna confessed and looked ashamed of himself.
“Why would he tell you that?” Council member 6
asked.
“Because he wanted to become King and attack Earth then start attacking other planets. He has a stupid dream of becoming King of the Universe,”
Luna replied.
The Council members looked at Timmy, Monica, and Frankie.
“So, how did these Earthlings come here?”
Council member 7 asked.
“They helped me escape from Earth and get the crown from General Meena,” Luna said.
177
Council member 7 motioned for the guards to put away their pistols. They obeyed.
The door to the room slammed open, and Meena raced inside with Boe, Burpy, and Dopey.
Meena stopped dead in his tracks seeing Luna, Sona, Timmy, Frankie, and Monica standing next to the Governing Council members with four Guards behind them.
He frowned and knew this could not be good for him. Council member 4 glared at Meena at the other end of the room. “Meena, we have a little problem!”
“What problem? There’s not a problem,” Meena replied, playing dumb.
“Luna claims you illegally detained him from attending the initial conference,” Council member 5
said. “No! I would never do that!” Meena lied and faked, looking sincere.
“You kidnapped me!” Sona cried out.
She ran over and slapped Meena’s face.
Boe, Burpy, and Dopey knew they were in trouble.
“General Meena told us to shoot down Prince Luna back at Earth,” Boe blurted out, realizing Meena was caught.
The Council members looked at Luna.
“Luna, is there something you want to say?”
Council 1 asked him.
Luna got a massive smile on his face. “Guards!
Arrest Meena and his three goons!” Luna ordered and felt like King.
Meena, Boe, Burpy, and Dopey all took off running.
The four Guards ran after them.
One of the guards caught up to Meena while the three other guards ran after the goofs.
178
They were all arrested and escorted out of the room.
“Wait,” Luna yelled out.
The guards stopped.
Luna ran over to them.
Sona followed.
“Where’s my father?” Luna asked Meena.
“The Earthlings have him. I thought you heard about that?” Meena responded with a smirk.
“Tell me the truth!” yelled Luna with clenched fists. Frankie ran over, got into his Bruce Lee stance, and made his karate sounds.
“He’s stranded on Planet Deserta,” burped out Burpy, afraid of Frankie.
Meena looked at Burpy with fire in his eyes.
Luna, Sona, and the Council members looked confused, as they did not understand his burping words.
“Duh…Meena made us sabotage his limo. He’s…
duh…stuck on planet Deserta…duh,” Dopey responded. He reached into his shirt pocket and removed a piece of paper. “Here are the coordinates where he should have…duh…crash landed,” Dopey said, then handed Luna the paper.
Meena looked mad at Dopey and wanted to slap him, but the guards had his arms in their grips.
Luna looked at Sona. “I need to save father,”
Luna told Sona.
“As what a future King should do!” Sona replied, proud of him.
Luna then gave her a quick kiss on his lips.
“Don’t start the final ceremony without father and me,” Luna told the Council members.
“We won’t,” Council member 1 replied while the other members nodded in agreement.
179
Luna grabbed Sona’s hand, then ran off and headed to the door.
The Space Dreamers watched Luna and Sona leave. They all looked at each other and knew they all had the same thought. They nodded, indicating they wanted another adventure, and ran after Luna.
Luna and Sona ran down the steps outside the Governing Council’s Palace.
The Space Dreamers ran down the steps after him. “We’re coming with you,” Timmy cried out the second Luna got to the bottom of the stairs.
Luna looked around and smiled at his Earth friends and waited for them.
After they got to the bottom of the stairs, they ran across the field to the woods with Luna.
They ran through the woods.
They ran out of the woods and back to Neila 14
in that other field.
They quickly got inside Neila 14 and closed the door. The engines started with a whirl. The engines whined up.
Neila 14 lifted off the ground and ascended up into the sky.
180
It was a news media frenzy down at the space center on Earth in Florida. Hundreds of news media reporters raced to Florida from all over the world the second the news spread. They all wanted to see the Neila 1 spaceship to show their viewers.
Kirk was detained by the Brevard County Sheriff's department and further questioned. He repeatedly told the detectives that Timmy, Frankie, and Monica traveled to the planet Neila on a modified Cousteau capsule. He told them about Prince Luna's dilemma with his mean cousin that wanted to take over Earth.
The Sheriff's Department placed Kirk in a local mental ward for further observations.
The Watson, Blake, and Hernandez families were again told about Kirk's story. Leslie, Elaine, and Rose cried most days and nights thinking about their kids'
possibility of being on another planet forever.
Back at Neila, Neila 14 raced back down to the planet.
It was not too long before it flew over Neilaville and back to the Army base.
Luna landed the spaceship back on the flight line.
The door opened, and Luna stepped out with Sona and the Space Dreamers behind him.
The Surfers ran up to the Neila 14 and greeted Luna. "We're so sorry, Luna. But Meena got the best of us," Lon said.
181
"I take it you didn't get to the Governing Council in time," Lorge asked sadly, thinking they failed with their mission.
"No! We saved his crown!" Timmy blurted out, all excited.
The other Space Dreamers nodded in agreement.
"And the Governing Council arrested Meena, Boe, Burpy, and Dopey. I'm going to be King! But there's another problem. Father is stranded on Deserta, so I came back to get a tow spaceship," Luna told them. "Well, let's go rescue him!" Saul added.
Bingo looked at another opened hangar to the right. "There's a tow ship over in that hangar," he said while he pointed at the hangar.
Everybody looked and saw a spaceship with a boom and hook. It was like the one the Space Dreamers used to rescue Luna from jail but larger with front and back seats.
"Let's go rescue Luna's father!" Monica called out, looking brave.
"We'll take the tow ship," Lon said.
"We'll go with the Surfers," Frankie replied.
"I'll meet you at Deserta," Luna said.
"I need to go to the docks; mom and pop are coming in on the Cruise ship," Sona said.
Luna gave her a quick kiss and then ran back inside Neila 14.
Sona ran over to the Surfers hovering sky boards.
Timmy looked at Monica and wanted to kiss her, but he refrained.
"Let's go," Lon told everybody.
The Surfers and the Space Dreamers all ran over to the hangar.
The engines for Neila 14 started up with a whirl.
They whined louder, and it lifted off the flight line.
182
It ascended away into the sky.
Sona jumped on Lon's skyboard and took off into the sky. She flew away in the direction of the green river. Neila 14 raced out into outer space away from Neila a few minutes later.
Five minutes later, the tow spaceship raced out into outer space from Neila. It flew off after Neila 14.
The Surfers sat in the front seat while the Space Dreamers sat in the rear seat.
Way off in the distance, the Cruise spaceship made a slow descent down to Neila.
It was a short trip in space to Deserta, and all Luna could think about was how all this mess was his fault. He really had doubts he could make a good King.
Neila 14 raced down toward the desert planet.
It flew all around the desert five hundred feet off the dirt.
Way high up in the clear blue sky, the tow spaceship raced after Neila 14.
King Tona's Cadillac limo was still stuck in the desert with him and Albie sitting in the shade under the raised back end.
King Tona handed Albie that liquid container. He turned it upside down, and a single drop of water dropped into his mouth.
They heard a whirl while a spaceship descended out of the sky.
They looked up at the sky and saw Neila 14 flying at them.
"It's one of our ships," King Tona said with a parched, dry mouth. He got out from under his limo and stood in the hot sun.
Albie got out from under the limo and stood next to King Tona. They watched Neila 14 land thirty feet from them.
183
The doors of Neila 14 opened, and Luna jumped and rushed out.
"Luna!" King Tona called out in his parched dry voice. Albie smiled when he saw Luna.
Luna ran over to his father, who grabbed and hugged him.
"Father, I'm so sorry for causing this problem,"
Luna told him.
"Why did you fly to Earth?" King Tona asked.
They saw the tow spaceship landing next to Neila 14. The engines whined down and turned off.
The doors to the tow spaceship opened, and the Surfers jumped out. The rear doors opened, and the Space Dreamers all jumped out.
King Tona saw the Space Dreamers walk away from the tow spaceship with the Surfers.
He grabbed Luna and immediately jumped in front of him. "Earthlings!" King Tona yelled out in a panic. Albie saw the Space Dreamers, and he jumped back, hid deeper under the limo, and cowered with fear.
"It's okay, father. They're my friends from Earth.
They helped me come home after Meena had me shot down by their planet," Luna told him while he walked away from King Tona and over to the Space Dreamers.
"Yeah, they're really cool, King Tona," Bingo said, placing his left arm around Monica's shoulder.
Timmy looked jealous.
King Tona looked at the Space Dreamers. "Cool!"
King Tona said. It dawned on him what Luna had previously said. "Meena did what?" he asked Luna.
"It's a long story," replied Luna as he placed his left arm around King Tona's shoulder.
Luna, King Tona, and Albie walked to Neila 14
with Luna telling the whole story.
184
The Surfers walked back to the tow spaceship with the Space Dreamers. They got inside and started it up. Lon drove with the assistance of Monica. They hovered the tow ship over to King Tona's limo.
While Neila 14 started its engines and soon lifted off the desert, the Surfers and the Space Dreamers connected the hook of the tow spaceship to the rear of King Tona's limo.
Back at Neila, the Cruise spaceship slowly descended to the docks on the green river in Neilaville.
The Cruise spaceship stopped near a dock that hovered twenty feet up in the air with stairs that led to the main dock.
After a few minutes, ten gang planks automatically extended and hovered at the Cruise spaceship. Ten doors opened up on the ship.
Hundreds of Neilas walked out of the ten opened doors with suitcases in hand.
They walked down the hovering gangplanks to the main dock.
Sona stood in the main dock with Lon's sky board hovering inches above the dock. She scanned everybody for signs of her parents.
After two minutes of Neilas walking past her, she finally saw Sona Sr. and Fona walking towards her, each carrying a suitcase. She waved at them.
They saw her and waved back.
Sona ran over to them and gave them each a quick kiss on their cheeks.
"How was your cruise?" Sona asked.
"It was marvelous. How was your time alone?"
Fona replied.
"Well, it was fascinating, to say the least," Sona told them. She grabbed her mother's suitcase and carried it for her.
185
Fona looked at Sona, and his stomach made him feel she had something to tell them. "Okay, Sona, what happened?"
Sona looked at them and knew they would find out soon. "Well, it all started," she said, telling them about her adventure with Luna and the Earthlings while they walked down the main dock.
It was later that day, on the sidewalk off of Neilaville Parkway. At a newsstand, a hologram emitted a newspaper with "General Meena's Evil Plan Revealed.
Prince Luna Was Innocent! King Luna Rescued By Prince Luna!" headlines.
Numerous Neilas stood by it and read the headlines. They clapped with their standard seal sound.
"Looks like he's going to be a great King!" said a female Neila.
"Yep, I guess we had him figured all wrong," a male Neila replied.
All the surrounding Neilas nodded in agreement while they clapped.
It was a clear night sky with twinkling stars on Earth in Florida.
Scooter, Ricky, and Ernst stood out by the back of their homes. They all gazed up at the stars and wondered if their kids were still alive on that faraway planet called Neila. They believed Kirk's story.
It was the next day on the planet of Neila.
In Neilaville, the grand auditorium was packed with Neilas, who looked extremely happy.
At the back of a stage, behind a red carpet, was Lon with a strange guitar, Saul with a strange bass guitar, Lorge with another strange guitar, and Bingo with a strange-looking drum that hung from his neck.
They started another weird alien song, which sounded like a national anthem. In fact, it was the Neila national anthem called "Peaceful Neila."
186
King Tona entered the stage from the right in his best-dressed red robe with a flowing red cape. He used this one for special ceremonies like the one being held today.
He walked on the red carpet, stopped, and stood in the center of the stage. He faced the anxious audience and waited.
Luna entered from the left side of the stage, wore a fancy red outfit, and held the crown in his hand. He looked so proud while he walked over, stood next to his father's left side, and faced the audience. He had his hair combed more professionally and got rid of those spikes.
Governing council members 1, 2, 3, and 4 entered the stage from the right side, while Governing Council members 5, 6, and 7 entered the stage from the left side. They walked over and stood behind King Tona and Luna.
The Surfers finished playing the national anthem.
Governing Council member 8 entered from the right side of the stage, and the Space Dreamers followed behind them.
The Space Dreamers waited behind the other Council members while Council member 8 walked over and stood in front of King Tona and Luna. He faced the audience.
"In accordance with Neila law forty-five dash seventeen, King Tona is hereby officially retired from service as King of Neila. Also, in accordance with Neila law forty-five dash eighteen, the next of kin in possession of the crown at the exact moment of this official ceremony is hereby declared King of Neila."
Council member 8 took the crown from Luna and placed it on Luna's head.
187
"At this exact moment, Prince Luna is hereby declared King of Neila and shall have the name King Luna," Council member 8 addressed the audience.
Everybody stood up and clapped with the standard Neila seal cheer.
King Luna had a look of extreme confidence and a huge smile when he saw his people loved the fact he was now King.
Tona got a substantial proud smile glancing over and seeing his son with the crown on his head.
"Okay, please be seated. We have more officiating to complete," Council member 8 said to the audience.
From the left side of the stage, Sona entered wearing a beautiful long flowing dress. A small cute Neila girl followed, carrying a Queen's crown on a red fluffy pillow.
They walked over, and Sona stood next to Luna.
That girl walked over to Council member 8, who took the Queen's crown off the pillow and placed it on Sona's head.
"In accordance with King Luna's wishes, Sona is hereby declared Queen Sona," Council member 8 said to the audience.
In the front row of the audience, Sona Sr. and Fona both wiped tears from their eyes as they had waited for this moment for ten years.
"King Luna! Queen Sona!" the audience chanted numerous times while they stood up.
Council member 8 motioned for the audience to sit and be quiet.
The audience sat down and got quiet.
"King Luna has some special presentations to perform," he told everybody.
King Luna stepped forward and looked back at the Space Dreamers.
188
"Will my friends from Earth, please come forward," he said to them.
All the Space Dreamers walked over to King Luna. Some of the audience looked a little fearful of the Earth creatures.
"I heard they're really friendly and helped save King Luna's life," one male Neila said to a Neila next to him. A small Neila man entered from the left side of the stage carrying a fancy box.
He walked over and stood by King Luna.
King Luna noticed some of the audience in the room moved away, afraid of the Space Dreamers.
"Don't worry. They won't bite," he assured them.
"Hard!" Timmy jokingly commented. The Space Dreamers chuckled.
King Luna glared at the Space Dreamers with a
"Be quiet" look. It was his first official, serious act since being King.
The Space Dreamers got serious when they saw King Luna's glare.
"As King of Neila, I hereby proclaim my Earth friends, Timmy, Frankie, and Monica, honorary space knights of Neila," King Luna told everybody.
King Luna opened the box and removed three badges on gold chains from that box.
The Space Dreamers looked proud while King Luna placed the gold chains around their necks.
The audience stood up and did their seal-sounding clapping for the Space Dreamers.
Tona hugged King Luna.
The Space Dreamers got teary-eyed and hugged each other.
Queen Sona's eyes filled with tears of joy.
189
Later that day, King Luna had the Space Dreamers and the Surfers over for dinner at the Palace.
During dinner, King Luna was provided with news of the arriving Earth probe. He wanted the Space Dreamers to be present when it arrived.
The Earth probe with the attached Neila probe descended to the Palace in the sky.
The Neila probe detached from the Earth probe and flew off in another direction while the Earth probe continued to descend.
The Earth probe descended and landed on the front grounds of the Palace.
King Luna and Sona, wearing their crowns. The Surfers and the Space Dreamers wore their badges around their necks. They rushed out of the front entrance of the Palace.
King Luna and some of the Space Dreamers held signs in hand. They saw the Earth probe in the grass and rushed over to it.
Meanwhile, back on Earth, in the big conference room on the fifth floor of OSB II, were two colossal plasma TVs hanging on the wall. At the moment, it showed nothing but static snow.
The room was filled with NASA scientists and local news media who stared anxiously at the TVs. The static TV snow disappeared, and the sight of the beautiful countryside of Neila with exotic vegetation and landscaped grounds of the Palace appeared.
Everybody in the room stood up, cheered, and clapped, while some patted each other on the back while some shook hands.
They were watching the TVs when suddenly, King Luna and Queen Sona wearing their crowns, appeared in view.
190
The NASA and media folks stared in shock.
"Aliens! We finally found aliens!" cried out a scientist, all excited.
They stared in awe at the TVs, then saw King Luna hold up a "Welcome Earth! This Is The Planet Neila. let's Be Friends!" sign.
"Friendly aliens. I knew it!" said another scientist.
Everybody cheered and clapped louder while they looked at the TVs. Then on the TVs, the Space Dreamers came into view behind Luna and Sona.
Timmy, Frankie, and Monica held the "Hi Mom.
Hi Dad" signs.
Everybody in the room looked highly
disappointed.
One female local news reporter's eyes widened at the sight of those kids. "Wait, those are the three missing kids," she called out and looked disappointed.
"Oh great! NASA faked another planet landing,"
said a disappointed male news reporter.
All the news media folks got up and walked out of the room, shaking their heads in displeasure.
The NASA scientists scratched their heads in confusion as all their data indicated the probe made it into deep space.
"I bet this is a hoax by these kids. They never flew off into space," another female reporter added.
Everybody in the room nodded in agreement with what that reporter said.
One of the NASA officials turned off the TV.
Everybody started packing up their stuff and leaving the conference room disappointed.
An hour later, the "Missing Florida Kids Pull Off Alien Hoax" type headlines started flashing across the Internet and news channels.
191
But the Watson, Blake, and Hernandez families just knew their kids did, in fact, travel to another planet.
And they were still worried to death.
192
It was the next day on Neila.
Tona had departed and left the planet for a long, desired vacation. He planned to spend the next month on the exotic beaches on the planet Islandeon.
Back at the Palace, King Luna, Queen Sona, and the Space Dreamers stood next to a big, brand new shiny limo spaceship parked in the driveway of the Palace. This was Tona's gift to King Luna and resembled a late 1950s Roll Royce Silver Cloud limousine.
The limo trunk was opened, and Albie stood by a cart full of numerous suitcases.
"Do you really need all those clothes?" King Luna asked Queen Sona while he glanced at all the suitcases.
King Luna, Queen Sona, and the Space Dreamers watched while Albie grabbed suitcases off the cart and staggered with knees buckled to the trunk. He dropped them into the trunk with a thud, which shook the limo.
"Of course! A Queen needs a different outfit for all the various functions we'll have to attend," she replied, then gave King Luna a smile.
King Luna chuckled, then looked at the Space Dreamers. "I can't thank you enough for what you did for our planet," he told them.
"It's us who should thank you for giving us a space knight's adventure and saving Earth," Timmy replied.
193
King Luna looked at an exhausted Albie.
"We're ready, sir," Albie replied while he dropped the last suitcase into the trunk and then closed the hood.
King Luna looked up at the sky. He smiled when he saw the Surfers while they sky surfed with their instruments in hand, and Bingo had that drum hanging from around his neck.
They landed on the grass near the limo.
"Good, you made it," King Luna said.
"Of course. We would never disappoint our King," Lon said while they got off their sky boards, which hovered above the grass.
The Surfers walked over with their instruments.
Albie walked over and opened the back door.
Queen Sona, King Luna, and the Space Dreamers got inside the back.
The Surfers got inside the back with their instruments.
Albie closed the back door, walked over to the driver's door, and got inside behind the controls.
The limo started up with a whirl. The engines whined louder and lifted off the driveway.
Timmy's eyes widened, and he looked concerned.
"Ah, King Luna, don't forget to explain to our parents why we left Earth without their permission?" he asked, recalling one minor detail.
Frankie and Monica's eyes widened with concern, and they nodded in agreement with Timmy's question.
"Of course. I'll take care of you," King Luna replied while Albie flew the limo spaceship up into the sky. A little while later, King Luna's limo ascended away from Neila and raced off into outer space with the Space Dreamers and Surfers glued to the windows.
194
They all loved the view of outer space. And this time, Monica was not afraid.
Meanwhile, on the planet Islandeon, Tona relaxed on the beach and enjoyed his vacation.
A female, with green skin with long flowing white hair, around his age, sat down on the chair next to him.
She looked over at him and smiled, as she liked what she saw.
"Hello, my name is Tilla," she said, then gave him a sweet, warm smile.
Tona was smitten right away, as he had not spent time with a woman since his wife died of a dreadful disease.
"Hello, Tilla. My name is Tona," he said.
They spent the rest of their day together.
Inside the Silver Cloud limo spaceship, it flew by the planet Deserta.
The Surfers, Timmy, Frankie, and Monica, had their eyes glued out their windows and loved the view.
Timmy glanced over at Monica and smiled that she finally got the chance to see outer space. He had another urge to kiss her but refrained.
A little while later, Albie turned the Silver Cloud limo spaceship into that black hole.
Inside the capsule, psychedelic colors filled the windows, and the capsule spun while it raced inside the black hole. The Surfers, Timmy, Frankie, and Monica loved the show of colors from the windows.
King Luna sat with his left arm around Queen Sona. The Silver Cloud limo spaceship started spinning.
The limo spaceship raced out of the black hole.
"Yahoooo!" cried out all the Surfers in unison.
"That was way too cool!" Monica cried out.
A few minutes passed, and the Silver Cloud limo spaceship flew over the rings of Saturn.
195
"It's Saturn! There's Saturn!" Monica cried out in awe at the sight of that colorful planet.
Timmy and Frankie just smiled and loved seeing it for the second time.
Timmy, Frankie, and Monica continued to stare out the windows to view outer space.
The Surfers stared out in awe at the sight of Saturn as they only saw pictures of it in school.
A little while later, the Silver Cloud limo spaceship zoomed past Mars.
Monica was speechless at seeing that planet that humans still planned to visit. It dawned on her. "You know something, we're the first humans to get this close to Mars," she said.
Timmy and Frankie looked at each other.
"Well, this is actually the second time," Timmy replied, then looked at Monica.
Monica thought for a few seconds. "Oh yeah, I had my eyes closed the first time," she replied, looking a little ashamed.
Timmy pondered for a few seconds. He smiled, then slowly reached over and held Monica's left hand.
To his surprise, she did not pull away. He smiled, loving the feeling of her hand in his hand.
Timmy, Frankie, and Monica continued to stare out the windows with Frankie and the Surfers.
King Luna and Queen Sona closed their eyes to rest for the rest of this journey.
A little while later, the Silver Cloud limo spaceship flew past the Moon.
Timmy, Frankie, and Monica stared at the Moon.
Timmy still held Monica's hand.
"The Moon is so beautiful when you see it up close," she said while she looked at Timmy.
Timmy hesitated for a few seconds, then he got brave. "Beautiful like you," he replied. Then in a hurry, 196
before he chickened out, he leaned over and planted a kiss on Monica's lips.
She accepted his kiss and wondered why it took him so long.
The Surfers, Frankie, Sona, and King Luna, looked at Timmy and Monica kissing.
"It's about time," both Frankie and King Luna said in unison.
"Got that right," added Bingo.
Queen Sona chuckled.
The Silver Cloud limo spaceship zoomed toward Earth.
Timmy looked at Monica. "Luna, fly around Earth so Monica can get a good view," he said.
"My pleasure again," Luna said. He pressed a button on the armrest of his seat. A hologram of Albie at the controls appeared. "Albie, fly around Earth to show our guests their home," he said at the hologram. "Yes, sir," Albie's hologram replied.
Sona got up from her seat and rushed over to a nearby window. She really wanted to get a good glimpse of Earth.
The limo banked to the right and started an orbit around Earth.
From the windows, they saw Europe.
They saw the Middle East.
They saw India, Russia, China, and Asia.
They saw Australia.
They see the middle of the Pacific.
They saw the Hawaiian Islands.
They saw the West Coast of America.
They saw the entire United States and ended at Florida.
The limo spaceship turned left and descended as it flew over America's east coast.
197
"Thank you," Monica said to Timmy and gave him a kiss on his cheek.
Back on Earth, all the satellite tracking stations started picking up the Neila spaceship on their radars.
They scurried around in a panic.
Then that hit the news media like wildfire, across the Internet and on TVs worldwide. "Alien Spaceship In Earth Orbit" was the typical headline on the Internet.
It was morning, and it looked quiet at the White House in Washington, D.C.
The sound of the whine of the engine of Luna's Silver Cloud limo spaceship was heard while it slowly landed on the lawn.
Two Air Force F-35 Lighting II fighter jets zoomed over the White House lawn at thousand hundred feet.
Inside one of the F-35 jets, the pilot, nicknamed Warrior, looked down at the White House lawn at the spaceship while they circled back.
"I can't believe how fast that spaceship was,"
Warrior said into this microphone.
"I know. As soon as we saw it on radar, it landed on the White House lawn," the other F-35 pilot, nicknamed Grim Reaper, replied.
Three Army Black Hawk helicopters raced down from the sky and landed on the White House lawn close to King Luna's limo spaceship.
Twenty-four Army soldiers with machine guns jumped out of the Black Hawks and ran over to Luna's spaceship.
They circled his limo and aimed their rifles at the spaceship. But their knees and guns shook with a bit of fear, as they did now know what to expect.
198
The back door of the limo opened. A few soldiers fainted and dropped their rifles to the ground at the sight of the possibility of seeing aliens.
From the White House, the President cautiously peeked his head out a window curtain.
King Tona and Queen Sona stepped out of the limo with Queen Sona holding a Holophone on a water board.
The Surfers stepped out of the limo behind them with their instruments. They started playing the Neila national anthem with their instruments.
Timmy, Frankie, and Monica stepped out of the limo. The Surfers saw the soldiers with rifles and hit sour notes while they stopped playing.
"I'm King Luna from the Planet Neila. We come in peace and want to be friends with the lovely Earthlings. Where is your President?" he asked the soldiers.
They immediately pointed their rifles in the direction of the White House.
Albie got out of the limo and stood by his door.
Four minutes later, President Taylor spoke with a southern accent and walked up with eight Secret Service Agents surrounding him.
"You speak English, great! I'm President Taylor,"
he said while he extended his hand.
King Luna extended his hand and slapped the President's hand, making their standard seal sound, which caused the Secret Service Agents to remove their guns, just in case.
"I'm King Luna, and this is my beautiful Queen Sona," he said.
Queen Sona gave President Taylor a curtsy and handed him the Holophone on the water board. "New technology from Neila," she said. This water board 199
was the prototype King Luna had made a couple of days ago.
President Taylor took them and admired the Holophone and water board. Then the President saw Timmy, Frankie, and Monica. "You must be those missing kids from Florida?" he said.
"Yes, Mister President," Timmy replied.
"Ah, so the news media had it wrong again. You didn't pull off a hoax. You really went to outer space,"
said President Taylor.
"Yes, President Taylor," King Luna said, then looked at the Space Dreamers. "Those young Earthlings came to my planet and saved me from not being King. They also saved your planet from being attacked by the crazy general of our Army. They're heroes. So make sure their parents know that," he added with a proud smile.
President Taylor looked at the three kids. "I see.
Let's go inside and talk about this," President Taylor told King Luna.
President Taylor, King Luna, Queen Sona, Timmy, Frankie, and Monica walked to the White House with six Secret Service Agents.
The Surfers trailed behind them with their instruments in hand.
Two of the remaining Secret Service Agents stood guard by King Luna's limo, where Albie waited by the limo's door.
Later that day, President Taylor and King Luna sat at a fancy desk in a conference room of the White House.
Queen Sona, with Timmy, Frankie, Monica, and the Surfers, stood behind them.
Numerous news media reporters were at the other end of the room, snapping pictures and providing live TV coverage of this historical event.

At the table, President Taylor signed an "Outer Space Trade Agreement" paper, then slid it over to King Luna, who looked at it. He picked it up and sniffed it. He tasted it with his tongue and then laid it on the table. King Luna snorted and spat green slime onto the "King Luna of Neila" signature line.
President Taylor looked at the paper and got a
"Why not" look. He took the paper. He snorted and spat on his signature.
The Surfers and Sona clapped and cheered with their standard seal sound.
President Taylor found this strange yet exciting, so he tried to create the same sound.
Back in Florida, Scooter, Leslie, Ernst, Elaine, Ricky, and Rose all watched this historical event on their TVs. But they were still mad that their kids took off into outer space without asking permission. But an earlier phone call from President Taylor requested they go easy on the young heroes.
Later that day, it was quiet back in Palmetto, Florida.
The sound of jet engines was heard in the sky.
Those two F-35 Lightning II fighter jets raced over Atlantis Street in Palmetto one thousand feet above the ground.
The whine of an engine was heard while Luna's Silver Cloud limo spaceship descended out of the sky toward Palmetto.
All the neighbors ran out of their homes to find numerous deputy sheriff police cars blocked off both ends of Atlantis Street.
Scooter, Leslie, Ernst, Elaine, Ricky, and Rose rushed out of the Watson home.
They looked up at the sky with all the other neighbors and saw King Luna's limo spaceship slowly descend down to Atlantis Street.

The two F-35 jets circled over the area at two thousand feet while King Luna's spaceship touched down in the middle of the street in front of the Watson home.
The street was quiet, anticipating everybody seeing aliens for the first time.
The back door opened.
All eyes widened up and down the street.
Timmy, Frankie, and Monica stepped out of the limo spaceship.
The neighborhood erupted into a loud roar of clapping.
Eight TV news helicopters appeared and hovered one thousand feet above the air providing live coverage for the residents of Florida.
Other news reporters from around Florida also provided live TV coverage of this event at the blocked ends of the street.
One of those hovering helicopters was one of NASA Huey's.
Inside the Huey, pilots Rodney and Jake looked through the cockpit windows at King Luna's spaceship parked in the middle of Atlantis Street.
"I guess we goofed when we thought a meteorite crashed landed a little while back," said Rodney.
"Yep, we called that one wrong," Jake replied.
They continued to hover the Huey and watch the event down below.
Back down on Atlantis Street, King Luna and Queen Sona stepped out of the spaceship holding hands. Albie got out from behind the controls and stood by the limo.
The street was quiet; the only sound you could hear was the hovering helicopters.
"Greeting Earthlings, I'm King Luna, and this is Queen Sona," he called out.

The Surfers stepped out of the spaceship, and the claps got louder. The Surfers took advantage of this moment and bowed at the Earthlings.
Scooter, Leslie, Ernst, Elaine, Ricky, and Rose walked to the spaceship.
"Hi, King Luna. I'm Scooter, and this is my wife Leslie," said Scooter.
"I'm Ernst, and this is my wife Elaine," said Ernst.
"I'm Ricky, and this is my wife Rose," said Ricky.
King Luna smiled at the parents of the Space Dreamers. "Those four friends over there are Lon, Lorge, Saul, and Bingo," he said, and the Surfers waved when their names were called out.
"Welcome to our home," Scooter said, then motioned for them to go inside.
"Don't punish your kids; they actually saved your planet from being attacked," King Luna said while they walked through the front yard and headed to Scooter's home.
They all headed inside the Watson home.
After a thirty-minute meeting inside the Watson home, everybody stood outside and watched Timmy, Frankie, and Monica walk King Luna, Queen Sona, and the Surfers back to the limo spaceship.
"Well, I guess this is goodbye for now," King Luna said to the Space Dreamers and fought back a tear, as he was going to miss his Earth friends.
They shook hands then King Luna gave Timmy, Frankie, and Monica a hug.
Queen Sona looked at Monica and Timmy. "I know she'll make a good wife one day," she told Timmy.
Timmy and Monica blushed as if they were not thinking that far in advance since they had only had their first kiss.

King Luna's eyes widened, remembering something. "Wait here," he said, then rushed back to the rear of his Silver Cloud limo.
He waved his hand over the trunk, and it opened.
He reached inside and removed three Holophones, then closed the trunk.
He walked back to Timmy, Frankie, and Monica with the Holophones in hand.
"I heard you wanted one of these. This way, you can talk to each other and remain in contact," King Luna told the Space Dreamers, then handed them each their own Holophone.
"Thanks!" Timmy replied with a huge smile.
"Thank you so much!" added Frankie, also with a huge smile.
"Thank you, King Luna," Monica added with a huge smile.
"Goodbye for now, and we will meet again," King Luna said.
Queen Sona gave Timmy, Frankie, and Monica a hug and a light kiss on their cheeks.
The Surfers all shook hands with Timmy, Frankie, and Monica.
The three Space Dreamers looked sad while they watched King Luna, Queen Sona, and the Surfers walk back and get into the limo.
The rear door closed, and the spaceship's engines started up with a whine.
Everybody up and down Atlantis Street watched while King Luna's Sliver Cloud limo spaceship slowly lifted off the street. The landing struts retracted into the spaceship.
The limo spaceship slowly ascended into the sky.
The limo spaceship zoomed away into the sky and was gone in seconds.
All the hovering helicopters flew away.

The sheriff's deputies opened up the roadblocks at both ends of Atlantis Street. At the same time, the news media started packing up their stuff into their news vans.
Scooter looked at Timmy. "Just because you saved Earth from being attacked doesn't mean you'll still be grounded," he scolded Timmy.
"Yeah, Frankie, you're still grounded for leaving home without permission," Ernst scolded Frankie.
"The same goes to you, young lady. You're grounded for two weeks," Ricky scolded Monica.
Timmy and Monica glanced at each other. She discreetly blew him a kiss while Ricky and Rose escorted her down the street.
Scooter and Leslie walked Timmy off to their front door while Ernst and Elaine escorted Frankie down the street.
Thirty minutes later, Atlantis Street was back to its regular quiet and peaceful routine.
The next day arrived, and Kirk was released from the mental ward of one of the local hospitals. It was deemed that he told the truth about the kid's disappearance.

One year later, trades between Neila and Earth occurred.
Down in Cape Canaveral, Florida. A Cruise spaceship from Neila hovered just above the water alongside a long main dock by a “Universe Cruises”
sign. At the forward end, Earth men, women, and children walked up the hovering gangplanks from the main dock to five opened doors at the forward end of the spaceship.
At the doors of the spaceship’s aft end, numerous Neila men, women, and children walked down the hovering gangplanks to the main dock.
One of those couples was Tona and Tilla, married six months ago by King Luna for his first official ceremony. They decided to visit Earth for another vacation.
Way up in the sky, another cruise spaceship ascended toward outer space full of Earth passengers.
On the beach in Cape Canaveral was a grass hut with a Dutch door and a “Lon, Saul, Lorge and Bingo’s
“Water Boards Shop” sign on the roof.
Inside the hut, behind the Dutch door, Lon, Saul, Lorge, and Bingo leaned against it with smiles.
They looked at the ocean and saw old ladies, old men, younger men, women, and children from Earth and Neila’s surf on water boards inches above the 206
ocean waves. The Earthling had a ball with these new devices from Neila.
Some old ladies and old men did loop-d-loops five feet above the waves.
Way up in the sky, numerous Earth Surfers sky surfed on sky boards.
Some of them sky surfed around the clouds. They had a blast.
Two sky surfers were Monica and Timmy, and they had a blast doing loop-d-loops in the air.
Meanwhile, back in a Neila prison, Meena, Boe, Burpy, and Dopey wore green and yellow striped prison uniforms. At the same time, they stood behind an assembly line table. They were all miserable.
Boe grabbed a brown sky board off a pile. He placed it upside down on the table in front of Burpy, who laid a metal strip on the bottom of the board.
Burpy snapped his fingers, and a device hovered down from the ceiling and covered the board. It made a wish and then a thunk sound. Then the device rose up.
Burpy turned the board over and handed it to Meena.
It hovered inches above the table in front of Meena, who placed a picture of the Surfers on it. He pushed the board to Dopey, who had a spray gun in hand.
Dopey pressed a button, which sprayed Meena’s face with the clear sticky stuff.
Meena got pissed and turned Dopey’s gun around and pressed that button. He sprayed the board and then slapped Dopey.
Dopey’s head spun around. He looked dizzy when placing that board in an “Earth” box.
Boe grabbed another blank air board and started the process all over again.

Back on Earth in Florida, Timmy sat at his computer desk in his bedroom. His Neila Holophone was turned on, and a hologram of Monica appeared.
“I got one too,” her hologram replied, and she looked excited.
“Meet me over at Kirk’s place; Frankie also got one and is on his way over,” Timmy replied into the Holophone.
“I’m on my way,” Monica replied, then blew Timmy a kiss.
Timmy blew his hologram a kiss, then turned it off. He grabbed a letter off his desk and ran out of his bedroom.
Ten minutes passed, and Frankie and Monica met Timmy at Kirk’s place.
They were excited and showed each other and Kirk the official letters they got from President Taylor.
These letters stated the three kids were guaranteed a spot in NASA’s Astronaut Class the second they graduated college.
They were so excited and could not wait for some more adventures in outer space. And Kirk was so proud of the kids.
