Sewagigation

The sewage from the cities entering into the water bodies pollute the water. The farmers are having less options to use clean waters for irrigation.

Through sewagiation, the irrigable water is harvested from the sewage through filtration using biochar, sand and gravel at the bottom of the sewerage system. The harvested water could also be used for recharging the groundwater in the peri-urban areas and diverted for irrigation. it is proposed to have annular / circular / segregated water harvesting structures in the peri-urban areas.
