14.4. Design concept

The origination of reactive thrust resulting from the outflow of compressed air through a nozzle is considered for this device. This force when applied to a radial arm forms a reactive rotor capable of moving a clock mechanism at constant rotation speed eliminating the need for complex controllers of the type of the anchor mechanism involving a pendulum. The constant pressure of outflow gas maintains constant rotation speed of the rotor.
