WHATEVER YOU DO
DON’T LET ANYONE TALK YOU INTO SOMETHING ABOUT THE WAY YOU LOOK.

~ JOHN CASABLANCAS

In my mid-30s, I modeled late in life, and most of the small town homemade scouts or agents with franchise names possessed California Ideas with greedy pockets.

These agencies spoke The Hype and didn’t offer The Walk until  the talent paid for the “Promised Package” of becoming a Top Model.

I had no intentions of becoming a fashion model, I was informed that my height didn’t meet the requirement, … hmm, since when was the general public was 6ft tall? Nor did I posses the sass to strut the cat-walk, good heavens, why would I? I’d fall on my face, literally.

Rather, I modeled artistically for art schools and professional photographers wanting to increase their portfolio. It was an experience, some gigs were paid and others weren’t.  In either case, I learned in appreciating my small, non curvaceous form.

Why?

My proportions belongs to me and no one else.
