Seasoned

It is easy to identify some of the most corrupt government officials. They are motivated to perform their duties well beyond the office hours for the extra money. One could easily see the lights shining till late night hours, in such corrupt departments. The comparative electricity bills incurred by that department could be an indicator of the level of corruption.

Once someone in India with his experience, said that he does not believe an accountant in a company, who is very punctual to the office, wears mostly white colour cloths, never takes a leave, never gives responsibilities to another person in absence, works beyond office hours and also some of them are too religious or spiritual and wear the representative symbols.

The most corrupt politicians even try to create their charisma through their dress and ‘looking good’ factors. In spite of disguise, a politician’s looks are cunning; their jokes are mostly at the cost of insulting someone.

To do any work they think twice. What is my gain? If this personal gain factor is less, then the whole world would have been different.

Some government employees justify themselves and say we are being paid less so we are corrupt.

Once I saw an engineer, he was scolded by a class-one contractor in a meeting, later came to know that the respective department minister also had his share of bribe. So the contractor is more courageous to curse an officer on duty. The contractors give money only when this corrupt engineer favours in the works with - false designs, exorbitant quotation and compromises on the quality of the work done. So that the contractor saves extra money and only then he could pay the bribe happily.

The percentage is the convenient term with which the business runs. Every person in the system learns only a few things in mathematics - plus, minus, multiplication, division and percentage. A politician demands lump sum percentage.

Some of the media journalists also close their senses and does not show or write about certain things, if they get their share. Media people are very low paid in their jobs, and still, they never fight for their rights. Sometimes the respective governments promise them with free plots in posh areas and also houses. This is to make them soft and tame to be obedient.

The nexus between the engineers, politicians, contractors and other corrupt stakeholders is the smoothest. They are very rarely exposed and caught.
