Cheat

Cheat days are when a person follows a strict diet say six days in a week and one day eats anything as per the desire of the heart. Cheat Meals is eating healthy food in a day and also once not eating things prescribed in the diet.

Therefore cheat days and cheat meals are a type of discipline and indiscipline regime. It also means indiscipline gives more happiness to some person although they know that it is not good to follow such a diet schedule.

Some children after completing all the exams, to relieve the stress shout aloud as an expression of joy. At the convocation after getting the degree certificate all the students jump in joy and throw the certificates in the air. The degree is the most valuable certificate in one’s life, how could one throw either a certificate or books in the air and be happy. Probably reading books and getting a degree or promoting to the next level in education was one of the most painful things in their life.

I was teaching the Post Graduate students in a college, gave the students all kinds of options for writing the exams. I said they could refer books, browse internet or search files on their laptop or even call a friend to answer. The students were happy with these options. In real life as a professional, a person uses all the above options to solve a problem or a challenge in their work. Giving equal opportunity to all the students is not cheating. If only one or two students use such an option that amounts to cheating in the exams.

In real life, a person who shares knowledge is a good person. That is how there is a continuity of human progression. Say the birds might have inspired someone to design the flying machines. The design of a leaf might have inspired another person to design a number of buildings.

In the education system too, we have this problem. The question papers prepared every year for a class are different. Sometimes easy and sometimes hard questions are asked. In one year if the majority of students failed in a subject because of the hard question paper, what is the fault of the students and why they should suffer. The standard of education in each country is not the same. Perhaps a failed student in one country is an intellectual in another country.

What a student learnt by the end of the year is real learning. Based on what a student does not know, a student should be sent to the next class, for learning only the things which are useful in a person’s life. We don’t buy what we don’t eat.
