Let The Games Begin

"Thank you both for agreeing to this," Kace turned to Scarlett and Victoria, "I just think it would be easier, for all of us, if you have the same OB, one that I know and can trust to be discreet. I wouldn't want this to go out because my family would disown me-and-then I would be nothing without their millions...and then where would that leave us all?"

"I'm just glad you finally came around baby. You're going to be such a great dad," Victoria gushed as she pushed her ample cleavage out.

"I'll do whatever makes you happy, honey," Scarlett threw deadly daggers at Victoria.

"Good morning all, sorry I'm late-who's going first?" Dr. Wayne walked into his private surgery and glanced at them.

"Scarlett, shall we?" Kace decided before the sisters started bickering again. It was beginning to work on his nerves and he was glad that after today it would all be over. He would never have to see them again. A very reliable source had informed him that Cassie was back in town and he would give her a few more days to settle in before he swooped in. Their wedding was supposed to take place in two weeks' time after all...

"Lie down on the bed and relax Scarlett," Dr. Wayne said soothingly and she complied.

"I think I'll wait outside Doc, you know me and hospitals," Kace said nervously.

"This isn't a hospital babe," Scarlett countered.

"Sorry I have to take this call," Kace slipped out before she could protest any further. He wanted his plans carried out but he just couldn't stand there and watch. His conscious began to gnaw at him and he squashed it. He was doing this for Cassie-for their future, he kept telling himself. It would be over soon.

"It's done. Bring the next one to this room," Dr. Wayne stated with no emotion, "Scarlett will be knocking out for the next hour so you can either leave her here or get someone to drive her home before she starts to bleed."

"I'll get my driver to take her home. You get the next one," Kace said, before he walked away.

After Kace gave the driver strict instructions to leave Scarlett at her house, in her bed to specific, he went back to check on Victoria's progress. This one he was going to enjoy watching, she had lied to him repeatedly. He had a few words to say to her before she was lights out.

"It's done. She's all yours," Dr. Wayne said as he removed his rubber gloves and threw them in the trash can.

"Good work doctor," Kace sneered, "I guess this evens our score."

"I hope I never see you again," Dr. Wayne spat as he marched out of the room.

"Likewise doctor," Kace scoffed and turned to Victoria as she lay helpless on the bed.

"Kace-what's happening..I don't feel so good.." her voice drifted off.

"You my darling Victoria, thought you could lie to me. Trick me. Trap me," his face loomed over her, "I know that baby wasn't mine, you were a little over 4 months pregnant, and we both know that's impossible...meaning you deliberately pinned it on me!" he shouted into her face and she flinched.

"I was going to tell..you..sorry..I..was not sure..." Victoria's voice faltered.

"Yes you're sorry- and I'm sorry that your little trick will never see the light of day," he grabbed her chin roughly and forced her to look into his cold eyes.

"What?! What have you done??!" She cried out.

"I did us both a favor and got  rid of it. You can thank me later," he sneered.

"How could you!!? You had no right!!" She screamed. "You will never get away with this!"

"Oh but I already have," he laughed wickedly, "You my little minx, can find your own way home. I'm leaving."

"But you can't just leave me here, I can hardly walk and I'm in pain..please..." she pleaded.

"Do I look like I give a damn?!" he spat out.

"Kace..please..I'm begging you.." Victoria started to cry.

"Save those tears for your real baby daddy, will you? In fact, why don't you call him? He might be kind enough to give you a ride home." With that, he turned and left.

"Sweetheart, join me for lunch? Pleaase?" Ethan asked, as he juggled the phone and his paperwork.

"Okay, I will..only because you said please," Cassie said.

"Should I send Mark or you missed driving yourself around?"

"I think you should send Mark. I might as well enjoy the perks of having a glucose guardian," Cassie teased.

"Cassie Winters! Did you just refer to me as your sugar-daddy?" He asked, amused. This was the favorite part of his day. Talking to Cassie, laughing with her and just being around her. His world was complete whenever they were together.

She had been discharged from the hospital a week ago and they had seen each other every other day.  Ethan had even tried to convince her to move in with him but she had turned him down on every occasion. It would have thwarted their plan and she still had Kace believing that she was going to be his wife soon. That didn't deter him though, he would continue to work his magic until she caved in. He had a feeling it would be soon.

"If you must know I am only 28, making me four years older than you," Ethan smiled into the phone.

He missed her and he couldn't wait to see her. Yesterday he was busy with his lawyer and they had put his plan into motion. Daddy dearest was still unaware that his only son was still alive and still roaming the streets of America. Ethan wanted it to remain that way until he chose to reveal it tomorrow, when his father was due to stake his claim.

"How did it go with your lawyer?" She inquired as she sensed the change in his mood. "You know me too well sweetheart.." he sighed and massaged his temples.

"Why don't I come over to your place tonight and we can make dinner together? Then you can fill me in?" she suggested.

"Why don't you come over now? You're busy?" he asked.

"I can't-"

"Please baby, I need you." He didn't mean to sound clingy and desperate but this was Cassie. His Cassie-she knew him better than anyone; they were always open and didn't hide their feelings from each other.

"Ok my love, I'll be right over." She rang-off and walked to the bathroom. She was about to hop into the shower when her phone went off again. Cassie smiled as she shook her head, thinking it was Ethan again.

"Hey, stop being so impatient-"

"Hie sugarplum, did you miss me?" Kace said with as much conviction as he could muster. "Can we meet for dinner tonight??"

Cassie counted to three and closed her eyes before she replied, "Hallo Kace."
