Apocalyptic Dream
The last thing I said was I hated humans wanted them all dead. I’d lost all faith in humanity for some many reasons. Thinking the the was one thing but saying it out was something I could never take back and and soon regret. It was late one night, and I was sleeping, and I was restless alone in my bed, tossing and turning. I remember thinking I woke up but soon would realized I was trapped in dream. It was about 2 in the morning when I thought I woke accept I looked around me and I wasn’t in my room I was outside and standing in lake watching men in hazmat suits pouring chemicals into the lake, and in the distance it looked some in a boat was pouring a big container into the lake too. I couldn’t speak I just stood there with my mouth open watching. The men never saw me like I was invisible they went on pouring. Traumatized by what I saw I ran looking behind making sure I hadn’t been followed and I ran to a house that was for sale and went in to where I thought it was safe. I walking around the house. But then I heard strange noises coming from outside, I ran to and looked the window I saw parked cars and then I saw……. People walking around strangely they were a zombie like state. I didn’t know what to do I ran to tell someone only to realize that I was on my own, I knew no one would have believed me, I ran through pushing my through the zombie like people. I ran straight to the woods where to large river there were people swimming in the river and the river was so crystal blue you could see to the bottom. At the bottom of the lake there was something swimming, but I couldn’t quite make out what it was, I carefully moved closer and looked it was some type parasite, but it was abnormally large. I yelled to the people in lake get out you’re in danger but was too late the parasite darted at them at bit them, they instantly become violently ill and died right then and there. The bite on their legs began to swell and blister and split open only to have little baby parasites to come out a began eating them. I screamed in horror as I ran and watched the parasite monsters come and drag the bodies into the river. “How and why could this be happening I asked myself as I ran, this can’t be real?” I ran through the woods until I reached a clearing that had a path and lead to a cabin, I pounded on the door yelling for help but no one answered, I yelled, “I’m coming in”, only to find the owner the floor choking, coughing, and gasping, “sir I asked are you ok? Do you know what’s going on? “Water” is all he managed to get out grabbed the water glass and it looked funny, it had a pinkish hue to it and smelled funny. The old guy lay there as slowly died in my arms. Not long after I left the old man filled with life again and began to moan. I heard the doorknob start to jiggle and shake. I left the old cabin and continued on my way and went back to the lake to where I saw the men dumping the chemicals and where I was standing in lake. “I said to myself I was standing in the lake when they dumped the chemicals why I haven’t I been infected or have gotten sick, and why were the parasites only in the river and and the lake as well?” I walked closer to the lake cautious not to get to close, the water was pink, and se went back to the river in which where I saw the people, the river was pink, she followed the river to that flowed to the woods and eventually lead to the ocean, the ocean and waves had turned pink, over the horizon a giant tidal wave was coming I ran towards an abandoned house turned to look to see where the wave was and it had froze in motion. Whatever these chemicals were in the water were affecting the people and putting them into a zombie like state. I ran into the house and it was empty and looked like someone was living there but suddenly moved out but left everything behind, as I walked through the house I wondered if this apocalypse was just here or it was affecting the rest of the world? I turned the TV and the news on reporter was talking about the chemicals being dumped in the lakes and rivers, oceans, and now the spread of the the so-called mystery virus and parasites have spread to the rest of the world. The government was experimenting on parasites and some unknown person broke into the government facility and dumped those parasites into the water system. The chemicals had gone into the lake, rivers, and streams, and eventually flowed into the ocean and the virus spread worldwide, and parasites along with it. Causing them to adapt to there surroundings and forced to be in water which they took to well. The reporter went on to say that the whole was being put on quarantine and the president had sent out military to take of the “sick ones” as they referred to.” I ran out of the house and ran for my life praying the whole way I wasn’t being followed. I ran till I came across a group of buildings thinking I found safety, I warily went to the building it looked I was in hospital as I walk down the corridor I check every room looking for a sign of life but it’s eerily quiet. I go deeper down the hallway till I find a room and there a pile of bodies stacked up on up of each other and they looked dead except they were all moaning. There was a nurse in wearing all white and she was holding a syringe. I took one look and ran; I ran back the way I came back to outside and found another only to find out that the building horseshoed and I was back in the same room again. I tried to run but she grabbed my arm there wasn’t anything scary about in fact there was a light the shone off her that was brighter than the sun and she said as she grabbed my arm, “you are the cure” and she placed the needle into my arm. I felt woozy and at the same time powerful, what was I given to make feel this way. Was it some type of drug or was I some how infected by the virus and was affecting me differently. Here I was the only one immuned turned out I was meant to be saved so I save the world from a virus with my blood. How was going to the save the world with my blood I didn’t know. The nurse sat me down and explained that I was chosen to save humanity and that my blood had been blessed and it was needed to cure the virus. The nurse took my blood and took a much she could and started filling bag after bag, after bag until she hand enough to save the world. As I watched the bags of my blood be taken to local hospitals and people that were infected, I smiled and it warmed my heart knowing that I helped saved a dying race, I traded my hate for kindness.
