Pete has a crush on Susan

The next day after lunch, Pete was as good as his word and arrived at the IT department on time. Susan saw him from a distance and approached him and said hello. Pete said hello back.

Susan took the opportunity to look at Pete from head to toe. It was her opinion that she needed to know him well and have an impression of him before they could start working together. In her opinion, he was a good looking guy dressed in formal clothes alright but he was not her type.

They sat at a wide desk and Susan spread his papers all over the desk, examining them one by one. The issue was about integrating some accounting information into their server’s backend database and there was a referential integrity problem. Having sorted that out, she gave him a forum name she knew where he could look up PHP code and solve the problem.

Pete, on the other hand, was also speculating Susan. His impression was that she was a competent lady and fully business-like, and he thought he would like to know her better.

Susan asked him to contact her again in case his problem was not solved. Pete took the opportunity to give her long stares in the hopes she would return his stares but Susan completely ignored him. Feeling discouraged, he left for his department.
