Dalia

l was in my fourth month of pregnancy now, my baby shower was held today.

“Will it be a boy or a girl?” Rita asked.

“l don’t know yet” l replied. “The humans have this technology called ultrasound

which tells them whether or not their child is a boy or girl” l continued.

“l know darling” Rita said.

“Yeah” l said taking a chocolate brownie and gulping it up.

“I’m so excited for you” queen Adriela said. “l remember having my first

Alexander, oh that was an exciting time” she said.

“It’s exciting for me too” l said to that.

“Hmm” she said and ate an Anzac biscuit. L knew her friend Elard now, he was a

very nice friendly unicorn, l could see why she would want to be best friends with

him.

“l met your friend Elard” l said to her.

She held the Anzac biscuit in her hands and gave me a smile. “Oh, he is a very nice

black unicorn isn’t he, he’s not like the mean black unicorns in the legends” she

said.

“Yes, l learnt unicorn legends when l was little” l said.

“Well not all of those legends are true, your welcome anytime you’d like to come

to Moda” she said finishing her biscuit. “Just don’t invite the hunters in” she said.

“Who are the hunters?” l asked curious having never heard of them.

“They hunt down and kill unicorns, they still exist in Heartfield and one time, one

time l remember they tried to ruin my marriage” l cut her off.

“So that’s why you slept with my husband?” l gasped.

“Yes, well he wasn’t your husband at the time, but everybody knows why l did it,

no need to explain” she said grabbing another Anzac biscuit and taking a bride.

“Hmm” l said and looked away. Isabella stayed by my side, hiding from queen

Adriela. She had never been this way around queen Adriela before, l wonder if

she had just learned something, l won’t say what because you probably already

guessed what that something was.
