This book is published by Council for Green Revolution (CGR). CGR is a Non-profit Environmental Organization, based at Hyderabad, India was founded on The Earth Day (April 22, 2010), to work on pressing environmental issues. The rapid erosion of greenery and degradation of ecosystems in semi-arid South India gave the impetus for a massive green movement that is positive and proactive in nature with a revolutionary intensity. This has been the basis in the genesis of CGR to strive as a committed green think tank and a catalyst for change. CGR works towards the conservation of nature and the promotion of sustainable development goals. The organizations areas of work include, loss of biodiversity, dwindling natural resources, desertification, pollution, climate change and environmental security. Through its initiatives and determination, CGR hopes to see a change in mindset and action of people towards conservation of nature and natural resources and impact the views on ecosystems, economy and equity to a considerable extent. Author has been associated with the Council for Green Revolution as an advisory member since its beginning. He is also one of the founders of Greens Alliance for Conservation of Eastern Ghats (GrACE) an offshoot of CGR.
