There are a lot of settings which affect the look of the scores as well as the working techniques in Score Edit. These settings are gathered in the Preferences–Score dialog on the Edit menu.

As with other Preferences, the Score Preferences are divided into several pages, accessed by using the buttons at the top of the dialog.When we refer to the Preferences in this manual, we use the following syntax: Preferences–Score–Page name.
For most of the settings, you can decide whether you want to save them with the Song or in the Cubase VST preferences, by activating or deactivating the checkbox “Save with Song” (see the Getting Started book).
