Re-Display (Enable) Volume Control

In this section you are going to re-set the volume control for playback in order to test the volume quality before splitting the file into individual tracks.

1. In order to change the recording control to volume control, click Recording Control button (Fig 17) on the task bar on your desktop (It was minimized early in the lesson). If you closed it for some reason, then you should take the following steps to open it again.

a. Click Start
b. Click All Programs
c. Click Accessories
d. Click Entertainment
e. Click Volume Control
f. The volume Control will display as normal (once the window is closed it will

automatically change back from Recording Control to the default Volume Control window. It will be the same as Fig 21.

 

g. Go to step 7.

2. Your screen display should be similar to the figure below (Fig 18).

3. Click Options button on the menu bar (Fig 19). 4. Click Properties in the pull down window (Fig 19).

5. In the Properties window, click Playback (Fig 20) option where indicated. 6. Click OK button to confirm (Fig 20).

8. If you cannot hear the volume, then you should apply the following step to figure 21 above a. Slide the volume control button to a reasonable level (Fig 21) where indicated. b. Slide the wave control button to a reasonable level (Fig 21 – you decide) where

indicated.

 

9. Close the volume control window if you want or keep it open to alter the volume during play back.
