Chapter 4 Sales Platform

Chapter 4: Sales Platform

In this chapter you will learn how to sell and promote your eBook via the Internet and make good money. The first thing you need to sell your eBook on the Web is some space on a web server to store your eBook.

There are many free web hosting providers out there that will give you enough web space for your files. However, if you’re serious about your eBusiness, I advise you to get a real web hosting account, so that you can upload your files 24/7, with full FTP Access.

I recommend you find a web hosting provider that’s offers unlimited domain name registration and unlimited web hosting. I personally have had great customer service, satisfaction, success and can highly recommend http://bit.ly/unlimitedwebhostinganddomains

Once you have your account set up, you will receive a Web Domain name with your company name, and a personalised business e-mail! You can use these names as your business address.

If you already have your own domain name, the supplier will usually redirect it for you for FREE. Secondly, you will have to find a way to accept credit card payments. Most people who buy on line use a credit card, so you had better make sure that these people can leave their money with you, once they arrive at your web site.

There are many providers with PayPal being one of the market leaders. Sales Page

Okay, now that you can accept credit card payments, it’s time to set up your eBook sales page. “Huh? An eBook sales page?” I hear you think…Yes, your eBook sales page is extremely important if you want to make money from your book.

Many authors don’t always realise that their poor sales page is the main reason why their books DON’T SELL! The power of your sales page will decide if your eBook will be a success… or not.

A good sales page has a catchy headline, and tells the possible eBook buyer about all the benefits that are in it for HIM/HER.

If your sales page can convince your prospects that your book will improve their life, or help them solve a problem, you’re already halfway to the sale.

So, always keep in mind that your sales copy will be the MOST IMPORTANT copy you’ll ever write! Be sure to give it your best shot!

Use testimonials, talk about the benefits of your book, and offer extra bonus gifts if you can to get closer to the sale. Provide a free trial section, collect email addresses.

To collect email addresses you will need an email marketing provider and I highly recommend www.emailcommunications.aweber.com who offer a 30 day trial with a money back guarantee. The interface is easy to use, the training is excellent and the service is exceptional. Right, now that you have a profit pulling sales page, telling people how your eBook will improve their quality of life, you can start making those sales.
