  5. Transcribing your content  img24.png

There are many different approaches to transcribing con- tent and a lot of work goes into figuring out what works best for your particular situation.

At least that would be the case if you didn’t have this guide.

We’ve transcribed hundreds (if not thousands) of video content hours, and the best way to do it is with the help of machine-based transcription tools that use speech recognition.

Tools we use:

Everything is done automatically by the app as you are listening to your media files. You can speed up the pro- cess by editing an existing file in place or create a new one from scratch with a tap of a button - it’s all up to you!

Moreover, thanks to their unique neural recognition algo- rithms that support 23 languages and dialects, they are able to process audio/video files much faster than most other similar software in the market.

Similar to Descript, Otter can easily transcribe an hour- long video or audio in minutes. At this point, it’s a matter of choice.

Both apps are great and can make your process super easy, so do research on your own and figure out which one works best for you.

Quality Assure your transcript:

The apps we mentioned earlier are amazing, but their AI is based on speech recognition, and not everyone talks the same.

Plus, the sound might not always be in perfect condition, so there’s a great chance you will encounter grammatical and typing errors in the transcribed written content.

It’s important to go through the transcription and QA for any grammar, spelling, or punctuation mistakes.

If you’re busy, you can always hire a VA to do this for you. We always use VAs for tasks that don’t require a vast amount of knowledge.

You can find someone qualified to proofread and edit your content on websites like Fiverr.

As you can see, for the keyword ‘proofreading’ there are over 16,000 services available in English.

Plenty of options to choose from, depending on your budget and other requirements.
