Reminding people their greed comes at the expense of others nor does it magically appear courtesy of the "invisible hand" of the marketplace is hardly "manipulism" (seriously? Is that an Ayn Rand-inspired attempt to manipulate uneducated readers ?) Quite the contrary regardless. A half-century of Cold War propaganda disseminated by the very same military-industrial sector Eisenhower warned us would try to do precisely what they've done, is the deliberate policy of Pentagon and State Dept. hawks who knowingly lied regarding the objectives of socialism so that they can sell us on maintaining a standing army for the first time in US history. This is an effort to avoid stating the truth about how democratic governments are all that stand between a return to the tyranny of the right-wing monarchs, militarists, theocrats, and the class/caste divisions they need to exist for their survival. Elites use mercantalism to employ soldiers willing to murder leftists, scholars and intellectuals for money. It's the intelligent, educated people who promoted the leftward advances mankind has made over the last few centuries. You, otoh, lie by conflating Stalinism with egalitarianism.
