Cat Tale 23: The Outside and Inside

Yeah, live to be in my 30s. This advanced age makes me worry about my personal territory too. Could I still patrol it responsibly, having strong legs, sharp eyesight, alert hearing, and with a good sense of smell to be able to quickly and accurately identify any past and upcoming invasions of my domain?

And should an invader be so bold as to enter my surroundings, would I have the strength and energy to defend myself and the land that is personally marked as being under my control and protection?

Could I still flip out my claws at lightning speed? Actually, would I still have my claws, and in tip-top shape? What an embarrassing sight that would be if I could no longer fight for that which is mine.

Furthermore, what about the inside territories? Could I still skillfully track down and pounce on creatures like spiders, cockroaches, and other crawling things who so boldly stroll across the floors and walls of my home?

Could I still do my spinning, flying leaps and general running around while trying to swat and knock down the biting mosquitoes, persistent flies, and lunatic moths that so arrogantly invade my airspace as if there were no permissions required to do so?

What would my caretakers think and say if they saw that I could no longer keep our home safe from the many frequent trespassers of the outside world?
