As for our general liking to live with humans, you should be aware that we represent little or no physical risk to you in terms of attacks or aggressive behavior unless of course we ourselves are attacked or mistreated by your species. I believe you are the same as us in that sense, aren’t you? Who wouldn’t want to defend his honor and his bodily security when an unfortunate and undesirable situation might arise?
I do understand though that we unintentionally cause allergic reactions to a certain percentage of the human population, and we’re truly sorry about that. But please understand that it’s not our desire to do so. I believe there are special medicines available that can keep those irritated eyes and running noses or coughing chests under control, and thus we can still enjoy each other’s company and carry out our joint activities in a pleasant and healthful manner.
There are actually many studies that in general confirm that we are good for you and you are good for us. What a wonderful thought that is!
We may have our differences and misunderstandings at times, which is quite natural in any kind of relationship. But I would like to think that there always remains mutual respect and a deeply felt love that forms the foundation of our union and will forever bind us together in caring and sharing harmony.
In that sense, we need you and appreciate so much being with you, and sincerely hope that you feel the same about us cats.
