This is a short and easy book to read. Human activities leading to extinction, near extinction, atrocities, displacement, mass slaughter, poisoning, and demonization are sad indeed. It is important to understand the truth about a shameful aspect of human history (Not all of us of course). Humans control this world, and as such, we have a religious, moral, and ethical responsibility to help protect animal species from unnecessary harm and obliteration. Thankfully, there are many animal protection organizations, countless activists, and enacted laws issued at the local, state (or provincial), and federal level that in theory are supposed to prevent species annihilation and extinction.
