Chapter 10

Natural Acne Remedies

The themes of natural or self-produced acne treatments are very broad, because you need to be able to distinguish effective options from those that are actually just stories of old women.

However, having said that, people looking for successful acne remedies will foolishly ignore the benefits of natural remedies passed on from parents to children.

These remedies based on common sense or herbal practice are usually successful for most cases of mild acne. When these conditions worsen, you should consult a doctor or dermatologist.

For centuries, civilization has completely relied on natural and herbal remedies to treat all diseases.

No, there is no convenient pharmacy to get prescriptions for finished products. In order to find a cure for this disease, people have to venture into the forest and seek treatment there.

In most cases, nature meets these needs by discovering various herbs with medicinal value. The original doctor was nothing more than what we now call an herbalist, or at some point, a pharmacist.

Either way, the natural remedies they discovered were the foundation of scientists, who later found a way to create synthetic substitutes for these herbs and refine their innate properties in a way that could be amplified or enhanced by other elements.

Acne is an extremely common skin problem that often occurs in older teenagers and young adults.

If ignored, acne can cause serious skin problems immediately or later in life.

There are various acne treatment products on the market, and you may want to try some.

But before you go out and buy these usually expensive products, try some home remedies for acne.

A List of Common Natural Remedies

1. Toothpaste - For Minty Fresh Skin

Believe it or not, toothpaste can sometimes help clear acne.

Although no formal research has been conducted so far, many people believe that toothpaste is an effective home remedy for acne. Just apply it directly to the problem area before going to bed.

Common sense believes that this will help control swelling and redness. Just make sure you are using real toothpaste, not gel.

2. Salt and Vinegar - Pickle Those Zits

A saline solution with or without vinegar can help clear acne by drying the skin (removing excess oil) and helping disinfection.

Wash your face twice a day with salt water (and vinegar, if you like). Just don't make the remedy too strong, preferably a little salty.

For stubborn stains, make a stronger solution, apply it to the inflamed area and leave it for 15-20 minutes.

3. Fruits

Fruits are also considered effective home remedies for acne.

Try applying strawberry leaves directly on the acne and let it work for a while.

Fresh lemon juice (not concentrated) or lime mixed with rose water is another home remedy for acne you can try.

Apply on the face and keep for 15 minutes. Try this for 15 days and you will be surprised at the results!

The grated orange peel is mixed with water to make a paste, which can effectively treat outbreaks.

Apply and leave for 15-20 minutes, then rinse the paste with warm water.

Papaya juice is also considered effective. Fresh ketchup can also be used like orange peel.

What all these fruit-based home remedies for acne have in common is their astringent properties. Removal of excess oil and dirt is the key to fighting acne.

4. More Herbal Acne Home Remedies

Like the fruits mentioned above, there are many herbs and plants that have also been proven to be effective acne home remedies.

Using a mixture of witch hazel oil extract, sweet fennel and tea in water 2-3 times a day has been shown to be effective against acne.

It is helpful to press methamphetamine (fenugreek) leaves into a paste, apply for 10 to 15 minutes and rinse off.

Crushed garlic can also be used as an effective home remedy for acne, although most people just give up on it because of the smell.

Aloe vera has good skin healing properties and also has an astringent effect.

Of course, cucumbers have been a favorite for reducing all types of swelling for many years. If you apply cucumber in a paste form, the effect will be better.

But I bet you don’t know that ground radish or ground sesame seeds are another home remedy for acne.

5. Support from the Inside

All these mixtures, mixtures and pastes can be applied well on the outside, but stimulating your body from the inside can make any of these home treatments for acne more effective.

Nettle tea has long been recommended as a panacea for various skin problems, including acne.

Taking vitamin supplements containing vitamin B5 and zinc can promote a healthy immune system, thereby helping your body fight acne-causing bacteria.

Try some home remedies for acne, and you will be surprised at the results you can get without spending a lot of money on specialized skin care products.

6. Hot/Cold Compress

The most commonly recommended top natural remedy is to use hot and cold wet compresses to reduce puffiness and unclog clogged pores, which is the culprit for acne.

7. Drinking Water

This natural acne treatment is very simple.

The premise behind this is that if you drink a sufficient amount of water a day, usually 7-8 glasses of water a day, your body will remove the toxic elements that actually cause acne to develop and spread.

It should also be noted that many natural remedies not only recommend drinking plain water, but also adding herbal ingredients by boiling fenugreek and corn seeds in the water.

8. Oil and Juice

Although it may seem strange, the benefits of using natural substances such as almond oil can actually help remove acne scars and should not be ignored. Apricot juice helps reduce the presence of cysts by cutting them.

Cucumber Juice

For topical application, use alone or in combination with carrot, alfalfa or lettuce juice.

Citrus Juices

These types of juices, such as lemon juice, can be used as natural exfoliants to remove dead skin cells that can cause clogged pores. You should let it dry on your face for about 10 minutes and then rinse it off with cold water.

9. Fenugreek Leaves

This remedy provides good outbreak prevention and involves taking fenugreek leaves, crushing them, and then using them to make a paste. Then you need to apply it to the infected area every night and wash it off with warm water the next morning.

10. Honey Mask

Because honey has natural antibacterial properties, it is often applied as a mask on the face to kill surface bacteria. Generally speaking, the mask should be applied once or twice a week, depending on the results of use.

Further Remedies

In addition to the common natural remedies for acne, there are some other interesting options that are worth mentioning now.

Diet and Vitamin Supplements

Unlike before, when a civilized diet includes only natural foods from the soil, the use of fertilizers and pesticides affects the nutritional content of most of the food we eat.

In addition, our food is further processed by chemical preservatives. You have some additional explanations for the occurrence of some breakthroughs.

To solve this problem, following a proper, balanced diet and taking a rich multivitamin can actually prevent certain biochemical conditions to a large extent, which provide fertile soil for acne.

Echinacea and Oregon Grape

These herbs help strengthen the body's immune system and also fight against many forms of acne-causing bacteria.

Vitamin A

Used in large quantities, vitamin A has been successfully used to treat certain severe acne. But it should be clear that if you intend to use vitamin A as a possible remedy, you should consult your doctor, because if you use a large enough dose, it may be toxic.

Zinc

This vitamin, if added to one’s diet, can actually aid in the healing of acne lesions and help in the prevention of scarring.

Oatmeal Mask

Just cook a small amount of natural oatmeal and apply it on your face. Let this mixture stay on your face for 15 minutes, then rinse it off. Oatmeal, as a natural exfoliant, can provide immediate relief. Try to integrate this method at least twice a week, as it requires very little time and effort and produces excellent results.

Yeast Solution

Mix 1 tablespoon of dry yeast or fresh yeast with 2 tablespoons of lemon juice; apply to your face, wait for it to harden (try not to move), peel it or wash with warm water.

Bay Leaf Therapy

Grind bay leaves, blanch them with warm water, and apply them to the face after cooling. Rinse after ten minutes.

Lettuce Solution

Soak the cleaned lettuce leaves in water. Rinse your face with water.

Tea Bag Treatment

Mix 2-3 tea bags with a little basil and boil it in boiling water for 10-20 minutes. Then apply a clean cotton ball to the acne.

The home remedies listed above have been used successfully for many years.
