Linda Danson

Vernon Linda Danson (1926-1975) was a good-enough actress, model, and dancer who made a respectable career for herself with speaking roles in The Adventures of Hajji Baba (1954) and Combat Squad (1953). She was a lot more active on television though. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida, where she was one of several children. She started as a Showgirl at The Harem and Copacabana while taking courses at the Barbizon School of Modeling.

She was frequently in the tabloids for her off-and-on relationship with actor Jon Hall. They even planned to do a television series together titled South Sea Stories. Although they were rumored to have been engaged, they never married.

Throughout the 1960s, she lived at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood. She kindled another romance with Harry Richman, but they never married. He did support her financially until her death in 1975. According to her nephew, Linda and her sister kept in touch until she [Linda] simply disappeared. They were never notified about her death. An interesting fact is that Linda is a distant relative of Ted Danson.
