PART II

MALE SEXUAL DISORDERS

LOSS OF SEXUAL DESIRE

The cause may be physical or mental.  During the young and early40’s, men may experience loss of sexual desire mostly due to responsibilities and other worries.  During this period, men are busy making their career and money.  Also during this time, they are father to small children.  The loss of desire is a mental condition mostly recovering after things in life settles down favorably.  When the loss of desire is during later middle age, it may be due to low level of testosterone.

In the earlier chapters the reasons for sexual disorders and loss of desire has been discussed in detail. To avoid repetition, the details have not been discussed here.

Loss of sexual desire is an unfortunate condition which needs to be analyzed by asking yourself the following questions:

In the early days how was the desire and erection/libido?

Which medication are you into now or some while ago?

How satisfying was your sex in the early days of sex life?

When did the loss of desire for sex started to become visible?

How often do you have sex with your partner?  Do you propose or does your partner propose to have sex?

How frequently would you like to have sex?  How frequently would your partner would like to have sex?

Do you try to have sex by compulsion?

Do you have erection and desire for sex when you go on holidays with your partner?

What new food, project, or worry entered your life during or before the loss of sexual desire?

What is worrying you most of the time?

What do you think could be the cause of your loss of sexual desire?

The above questionnaire could bring to the front your actual reason for the loss of sexual desire.
