PREMATURE EJACULATION

Premature ejaculation is a common problem, especially with younger men, caused by a weak mind, anxiety or the fright of ejaculating prematurely.  Sometimes, premature ejaculation happens with a heightened excitement of touching or getting to having sex with a woman.  This is normal, when the person is young and inexperienced. With age, experience and the control of mind, premature ejaculation should not occur.  Sex which lasts less than 10 minutes is unhealthy and the man needs to correct himself immediately.

There are different types of ejaculation disorders, such as premature ejaculation (immediately or soon after penetration), retarded ejaculation (lack of ejaculation) and retrograde ejaculation (when the sperm on ejaculation is forced back into bladder instead of spurting out from the penis).

There are several reasons for premature ejaculation; it could be physiological, psychological, or medial.

Physiological reasons:

Painful foreskin, during penetration may cause early ejaculation.

Weak or hypersensitive pelvic muscles could be another cause.

Some medication or chemical causing blockage of serotonin in the body may also be the cause. Serotonin is a mood-regulating hormone.

Psychological reasons:

The fright of reaching orgasm and ejaculating before the partner reaches orgasm. Lack of will power here is the cause.

Having sex in the same bedroom, same position and for long years with the same partner generally makes the act very monotonous and can cause premature ejaculation.

Sometimes, the cause of premature ejaculation could be sex abuse during childhood, aversion to the partner, religious taboo (as if sex is sin),

Medical reasons:

Diabetes and surgery of prostate or bladder along with the necessary medication is also the cause of this condition.

Several medicines may interfere with the control of ejaculation.  Anti-depression medicines and drugs could bring about premature ejaculation.

The cause for premature ejaculation is complex and several underlying reasons could make up for this cause. I believe the best person to analyze the reason for this syndrome is the person himself.  If the person is not having any disease or under medication, immediately on ejaculation he may ask himself the cause, he will get the answer instantly.  It is how we talk to our body.  We need to be sensitive to our body at all times.  Every time our body wants to tell us something, if we keep ignoring the alarm, we are asking for trouble.  How much food is OK for me, how much drink is ok for me, how much exercise is OK for me?  We should learn to talk to our body.  In the same way when we reach orgasm, we need to ask why I ejaculated prematurely, was it over excitement in watching my partner reaching or having orgasm or her body movements and expressions with the pleasure; fright of coming quickly or even getting bored of the same sex for years. Finding sex sinful or feeling guilty of having sex out of wedlock. If you can pinpoint the reason, you will be able to correct it in later sex sessions. These are the most common reasons for premature ejaculation which generally gets over with time and experience.

Treatment for premature ejaculation will come in later chapter.
