13: LETTING GO

Today we look into letting go.

All things pass; this day, our life, this planet and our Sun, none of these are permanent. Trying to hold onto what changes is a primary reason for suffering.

So what are we to do?

Mindfulness starts to teach us how to deal with this change with its basic approach:

Fully receive what you are experiencing, even when it is difficult.

Open yourself to it.

Feel what is there for you. Being open to the pain and sorrow also opens you to the joy of this moment.

Then when it passes, let it go, and be open to what is next.

You can take this approach to your day‐to‐day life. You will find happiness with this.
