REMEMBRANCE

I once traveled an alien land
And was imprisoned for a time.
I knew you, and must suffer
Always this knowing.
Little one, we are forgotten in our pain.

Loneliness was the truth we shared together

The only mutual chord  allowed us.

We are who we are
Caught in our condition
And contained by our worlds
Each separate from the other.
A chasm existed between our lives that

Could not be bridged.
My downy love,
What shall I give for you?
A lost hope, A futile tear?
