THE THREE OF WANDS
“The Lord of Established Strength”
Sun in Aries
DESCRIPTION AND SYMBOLISM
A solitary merchant stands atop a cliff looking out across golden hued waters towards a mountain range that rises in the distance. Several of his ships are sailing down an inland channel returning to their home port after the completion of a long trading voyage and are laden with merchandise that will expand his business and bring him great profits and personal recognition. Three Wands are planted in the earth and stand upright, one of which the individual holds with his right hand. The other two stand to his rear. He is dressed in brightly colored robes whose predominantly red color reflects the fiery quality of the Wands suit. A golden headband encircles his long, dark brown hair. Through the realization of his inner vision he has multiplied his own accomplishments and has attained security and stability as well as firmly establishing his reputation as a successful and important member of the community.
ASTROLOGICAL ASSOCIATION
In the ancient tradition, the Sun was exalted in the sign of Aries. This meant it was like an honored guest in this Sign and is in a position of great power and strength. The Sun causes the tremendous force and vitality of Aries to blossom, expand and move forward and vitalizes the self consciousness of the individual whose self confidence and self esteem reinforce his position in the business world. This allows him to create prosperity not for his own benefit but also for the benefit of all those who depend on him.
