1. Thank Goliath.
The moment adversity is beset upon you, thank it. That challenge or obstacle, in whatever form it may be, is bringing you an opportunity to further help you to define yourself. No one would ever have remembered David’s name if he had not fought Goliath. That mountain helped create an immortal legend out of David and a powerful story for all of us.
Task: What has challenged your business in the past? How did you overcome that adversity? Do you still resent what happened? Look at the issue or person and find the reason it made you better. When you do, say, “Thank you.”
Whatever you are facing today, start each day and end each day by saying, “Thank you…you will only make me better.” In that state of mind, you will find an answer and you won’t destroy your body, soul, and mind—or others—in the process.
