MOVIE CHECKER
OVERVIEW
Movie checkers are assigned to go to a chosen theatre to gather information about a particular movie. Sometimes referred to as Theatre Audits, this is another easy way to earn extra money.
If you are the type of person that enjoys the thrill of going to the movies, then you will love doing this type of work. The work is extremely simple and straight forward.
Assignments can be either covert or overt. When you do a covert assignment, you are posing as a customer so you have to purchase a movie ticket. But you are reimbursed for the cost of the movie plus snacks.
You are not required to buy a ticket when completing overt assignments. But you must check in with theatre management before starting your assignment.
In almost all cases, you can’t stay and watch the movie when you do overt assignments, unless you buy a ticket at your expense. Otherwise, you are required to leave the movie once you have completed your assignment. ( Unless the manager says it’s okay for you to stay)
Assignments can include performing:
Trailer Checks - presenting a Letter of Authorization to the theatre manager to watch and record all trailers shown prior to an assigned feature.
Lobby Checks - checking for promotional items throughout the theatre either openly or covertly, depending on the assignment.
Blind Checking - covertly counting the number of movie goers (head count) for an assigned feature on an assigned day and or a particular show time. These assignments could also include checking the cleanliness of the lobby, restrooms, concession area and auditorium
Open Checking - presenting a Letter of Authorization to theatre management to count the number of movie goers attending the show time(s) of an assigned feature and collecting the box office information from management at the end of the day.
Theatre Evaluations - posing as a movie goers and evaluating your experience as a customer. These assignments may include reporting how
