DISPLAY INSTALLER

 

OVERVIEW

 

Display installers set up and install promotional and marketing displays in movie theatres, trade shows, retail stores or special events. This is a great way to earn extra money if you are mechanically inclined or enjoy putting things together . The work involves assembling a range of different types of displays that can include:

 

  • Standees
  • Posters
  • Banners
  • Point of purchase displays
  • Special event display items

 

WORK SCHEDULE

 

You have the freedom to select only those projects that are of interest to you and fit within your schedule. Some assignment may require you to work on certain days. Assignments typically take between 1 to 3 hours to complete.

 

Typical assignments can include:

  • Assembling cardboard displays in local theaters (standees)
  • Putting up promotional banners and/or posters
  • Auditing current promotional material as needed.
  • Miscellaneous theatedisplay merchandising tasks

 

HOW MUCH YOU CAN EXPECT TO EARN

 

Display installers are paid on a project basis. The average project pays between $25 and $35 per display.

 

GETTING PAID

 

Most companies pay twice a month via and offer direct deposit.

 

DRAWBACKS

 

1.     The work can be tedious and some of the more elaborate displays can be hard to assemble.

 

2.     Not many companies offer this service.

 

3.     Opportunities can be limited if you don’t live in or near a major city or live in a rural area.

 

4.     The work is not consistent; you may get 2-4 assignments 1 month and only 1 assignment the next month.

 

REQUIREMENTS TO GET STARTED

 

No experience is required for most companies; you will just need to meet these basic requirements:

 

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have access to reliable transportation
  • Be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
  • Have the ability to take and email digital pictures of every installation
  • Have an email address

 

FINDING OPPORTUNITIES
