Creating a Video

There are many different kinds of videos but the two most popular are the talking head and the presentation video.

Let’s start with the first one, the talking head. It sounds funny but in reality it is just a person who stands in front of a camera and talking. This is actually a popular way of creating videos. It doesn’t require so much more than a camera. Of course if you want it to be of good quality you should have good lightning, a good microphone and a camera that is recording good quality (common, it’s 2016, just use your smartphone).

The second one is the one that is the most popular one. It is a video where you record your screen, have a PowerPoint presentation and then have you talking in the background. I am doing my videos this way and it is working great. For this you will need some software to be able to record your screen and show a presentation.

The downside with CamStudio is that you can’t edit the videos so you have to record a perfect one (which almost never happens). On the other hand, Camtasia is $300 so some mistakes might not be that important in the beginning. They have a 30-Day free trial so you can take advantage of that if you want.

That is what you need to be able to create a YouTube video. It is not that hard. However, you want content (duh) so let’s talk about that now.

There are multiple ways to go here. You can create reviews about a product and send them directly to an affiliate offer. But that way you are missing out on the email addresses you could get. What I suggest you do is to create multiple videos about a topic and link to your landing page in the description. Each video gives some tips or tricks or some other valuable information to the viewer. End the videos with:

“If you want to know more, please click the link in the description”

You can also tell them (short) what they are going to get when they opt in on your landing page:

“You can learn more about *topic* in the free eBook that I am currently giving away to a few people. In this eBook you will learn *something that they are learning* but you need to hurry, because I will not give this to everyone. If you are watching this video after it has ended, I am sorry”.

Here I tell them the benefit of getting this eBook (which is the lead magnet in this case). You can basically read what your landing page are saying. I also added the last part to make sure that they opt in directly after the video, because if they do it later it might be too late.

I could talk so much more about what type of YouTube video you can create but this eBook is not a YouTube course. If you are interested in getting a YouTube course, I recommend that you get a course called Tube Commission Sniper. You will learn so much more than this. However, I will cover some YouTube SEO before we move on to the next chapter.
