Healthy Lifestyle Choices

Being healthy is probably the most important and significant thing one can have. A man with wealth but who is not healthy really has no wealth at all. A person’s health is everything. Unfortunately for some, it is also the most neglected. If you won’t be healthy for you, be healthy for the loved ones in your life who care about you and want you in their lives. Listed below are a few tips for staying healthy:

Best-case scenario: You should exercise, including cardio, for at least 30–60 minutes, two to three days a week. Cardio would include; walking, jogging, riding a bike, treadmill, elliptical, etc. Stretch your legs afterwards to decrease lactic acid buildup, which causes you to be sore. Over time, this will also increase flexibility. It is very important as you age to maintain healthy flexibility.

Lift weights two to three times a week (after cardio or on a different day, as long as you have energy to work out properly and maintain form). It’s important to keep muscle tone and tendon strength. An intense weightlifting workout burns more calories and fat than a cardio workout.

Sexy abs are 80% the result of what you eat and 20% of working out your abs properly.

Just as it is important to have a well-balanced, healthy lifestyle, it is essential to have a well-balanced, healthy diet. A healthy diet will vary for each individual because of factors such as age, allergies, blood type, exercise, and others. But we all know eating vegetables and fruits is a healthy choice. And I wouldn’t recommend it to everyone, but being vegetarian — with a few exceptions for eggs, fish, and a couple other things — is one way to stay thin and healthy. However, there are a lot of factors to consider in your diet, because everyone is different and responds differently to certain foods.

An obvious precaution — but apparently not so obvious in America — is to eat junk food in moderation. A little bit here and there is okay. But “here and there” does not mean having dessert after dinner every night. Limit yourself to having dessert only on special occasions. If you have the discipline, a couple times a week isn’t bad if you keep the portions small.

Remember, it is essential to be healthy to perform at your best. Being healthy means you will feel better and look better. When you feel your best, you will invariably perform at a higher level than when you’re sick, sluggish, depressed, unconfident, etc. When you look your best, you will have more confidence. When your confidence is higher, your results get better. When your results get better, your income increases. A lot happens when you start getting healthier.

Your image plays an important role in the assumptions people make about you. Someone who is overweight, out of shape, dressed sloppily, and has unkempt hair will probably not be perceived as being credible, successful or having much discipline. If you’re thin and fit, and have a clean, good-looking haircut and a nice-looking suit, you will portray a much different image. You will be associated with success and gain much more credibility just because of your image. Whether you like it or not, your image is important! After you achieve a good image, remember that your actions and words must match that image. Once you do this, you can become an unstoppable force and achieve anything you put your mind to. It all starts with being healthy. Health is true wealth.
