Wishing vs. Doing

When asked the question, “What would you change about the way you lived, if you could do it over again?” most elderly people will tell you that they wish they had spent more time with their loved ones. They wish they had spent less time working and more time being happy and doing things they enjoyed. If you want to test this, ask a few elderly people that question and see if you don’t get a similar answer. Think long and hard about how you’ve been spending your time lately. It is so simple to spend a few minutes with a loved one or to take a little time to do something you enjoy, whether it’s a hobby or just an activity you enjoy. If possible, try involving your loved ones in your hobbies. I don’t want to wish I had spent more time with my loved ones or wish I had done more things that made me happy when I’m elderly. Let’s promise ourselves that, from here on out, we will start spending more time with our loved ones. We will start enjoying ourselves more often. Less wishing, and more doing!
