Chapter 6

What else canI do to preparefor aninterview?

Rehearse your speaking and body language. You can do this with help from someone else or in front ofa mirror. Make sure you know exactly what are your strengths, what you bring to the table, and what is expected of you.

Know everything about the position and make sure you know how your skills complement it. You’ll be asked about what makes you perfect for the job or what value you can add.

Think up some answers to the most commonly asked questions and a few questions of your own. More on this in the following chapter.

Make sure you know the terminology. If this is your first job in the industry, thoroughly research the terms used in the field and become familiar with its jargon. If you speak the lan-guage of the hiring manager, you’ll seem much more capable.
