In other words, the world is a sad one because it often silences the fool even though the fool is speaking truth and wisdom about men who are reputed to be wise but who frequently act in foolish ways. Even the wisest and greatest men act foolishly at times, but these men are the greater fools because they fail to recognize their own folly. Celia then recognizes the folly of her own previous statement and comments that Touchstone is correct.
