INT. DOCTOR’S OFFICE, ST. NICHOLAS HOSPITAL - CONTINUOUS

Pan across a well-appointed office. A traditional oil-painting is planted on the beautiful surface of a long wooden cabinet behind a brown fabric sofa, next to a white writing board.

Far into the office is a black leather executive chair behind a desk, where the doctor is seated before Femi, who is seated on the other side of the desk. Close on Femi’s face as he speaks into his phone:

FEMI

Yes, I don finish. I dey with the doctor now. Oga call me dey ask of you.

TEGA (O.S.) (telephone voice)

Wetin you tell am?

FEMI

I tell am say I never see you. Say you go still dey station.

The doctor looks on politely.

TEGA (O.S.) (telephone voice)

Guy you fuck up. I tell Kunle make him tell DPO say I dey come hospital. Chai, you don fuck up.

FEMI

How I go know when you no tell me?

The call is disconnected. Femi drops his phone from his ear and stares at the phone’s screen, which reads: “CALL SUMMARY: 00:00:59”.

FEMI (CONT’D) (hisses; re: Tega)

This boy cut call for my ear sha. Na me do you?

FEMI (CONT’D)

Sorry about that, sir. That was my partner.

DOCTOR
