INT. ROOM 7, WING C, ST. NICHOLAS HOSPITAL - SAME TIME

Chioma appears to be lost in DEEP thoughts, laying on her back, MOTIONLESS, staring at the ceiling without blinking.

INT. HALLWAY, ST. NICHOLAS HOSPITAL - SAME TIME

A female nurse walks HURRIEDLY along the hallway with a tray of syringes, cotton wool, a bottle of methylated spirit, small bottles of unknown colorless liquids with labels, and different sachets of drug.

The REPEATED impact of her shoes upon the cold, hard ceramic tiles beneath, produces SHARP noises that echo across the long, SOMEWHAT empty hallway.

INT. ROOM 7, WING C, ST. NICHOLAS HOSPITAL - CONTINUOUS

The nurse enters the room through the OPEN door, drops the tray on a table close to the bed where Chioma lays, and picks up a syringe. She draws out the content of a SMALL bottle of liquid into the syringe.

NURSE (to Chioma)

You need to stay still for this.

Chioma stays put. She closes her eyes TIGHTLY and turns away, while the nurse injects her. She squints in pain.

It appears that Chioma was being sedated to sleep, as her squint fades off SLOWLY. She doesn’t reopen her eyes, even after the nurse leaves the room.
