INT. RECEPTION HALL, ST. NICHOLAS HOSPITAL - CONTINUOUS

Chioma sobs. Femi is out of his anxiety.

FEMI (vexed)

So Uche killed Emeka and planted his body at the accident scene. This is getting more and more interesting.

(sighs)

When I catch that Uche of a man, he will wish he was never born.

Femi closes his eyes for a while, with his face baked in DETERMINATION. He opens his eyes, with his right hand now fisted. He punches the palm of his left hand with his right fist, breathing heavily in anger.

He paces back and forth, obviously pondering on what next to do. Chioma is still weeping. Femi stops pacing and turns to Chioma.

FEMI (CONT’D) (re: Uche)

Can you take me to your finance’s house?

CHIOMA (vexed)

He is not my fiance!

She looks away from Femi and speaks indistinctly:

CHIOMA (CONT’D) Thank God I didn’t accept his marriage proposal. I would have married a monster.

FEMI

I’m sorry.

(very slowly and softly) Can you please take me to Uche’s house?

CHIOMA

It’s alright. I can take you there.

FEMI

Thank you.

He gives Chioma a hand up.
